Great App for listening to old-time radio shows!
I love this app! I've listened to all of Bob Hope's old radio shows and look forward to many other shows to listen to. I especially enjoy listening to these old shows while I'm in the car. I have purchased an iPhone 7Plus and followed the usual protocol to move from an older phone (iPhone5) to a new one, backing up the old phone and then restoring the new phone from the backup. However Vintage Radio wasn't working on my new iPhone7 Plus so I was frustrated. A simple e-mail to Orion got me the solution -- Michael told me to delete the old app and redownload it. Then I restored my purchases (the subscription) and everything is working as it should be. I've tried other old-time radio apps but this one is the best by far -- it's got the biggest variety and the shows are all clear and easy to listen to. Great app and great support -- what's not to love? Anybody interested in old-time radio shows should download this app and get one of the subscriptions so that you can enjoy these great shows (many aired live with little rehearsal and it's great fun to listen to the ad-libbing to cover their mistakes!)

Fantastic app. and what a selection offered. I'm an OTR fan and it just doesn't get any better than this and the convenience of having this app so handy. Prior to this apps. release I had been running the ' light ' version. When I realized the full version of this app was out, I jumped right on it. Great decision! Besides, I had hours upon hours of enjoyment the Devs previously provided at no charge with the light version I felt compelled to pay them back in kind. Can't Miss App. 👍👍✌
Update: For the reviewers that seem to have a problem with content or installation ....Simple, just read the information provided. There is a plethora of shows offered in every genre here. I subscribed for the yearly membership and had no problems whatsoever. If you do encounter a problem write to the Devs (before prematurely posting a negative comment) and they will reply immediately. Their very conscientious towards providing an app that people will enjoy, and they take this app very seriously.

The best of them all
I’ve downloaded multiple OTR apps over the last few years but this is the one that I come back to, time and time again. I’ve had to delete it on occasion to clear up space, but, without fail, I go and download it again shortly thereafter. I’ve heard every episode of most of the Crime & Detective stories and have been branching out. I appreciate that there is no censorship of the original ads (such as when shows are sponsored by cigarette companies) as I have encountered this on other apps and feel it detracts from the show as a whole. Thank you so much for making something so amazing available to us in a day and age where sitting and just listening to something on the radio is so uncommon. I didn’t grow up in the era when these shows originally were broadcast, but this makes me feel like I could have for a little while.

The only app for classic radio plays
There is nothing written today as good as the old classic radio plays of the 30s, 40s and 50s. I researched classic radio apps after tiring of having to listen to whatever classic radio show was being played at any one time on Sirius Radio. The free version of this app is really amazing and has enough choices to satisfy most people, but I have up-graded to their premium to get full access to every broadcast that I can imagine wanting to hear. I have listened to all 432 episodes of Gunsmoke for instance. I also love The Shadow, Suspense and many others. This app has them all. I use this app every day without fail.
One word of caution: all classic radio broadcasts have lower recording quality than digital broadcasts. Classic Radio junkies like me get used to it, and it becomes part of the ambience.

Cool App! Easy fix to problems you may be experiencing
I had re-purchased the app and was experiencing some of the issues l read about in the reviews. A quick email to Vintage Radio informed me to simply delete it and re-download it. Then, restore the purchase of the subscription. To do that, 1) Delete and then re-download. 2) At the top of the first screen, slide the banner over to the third screen. 3) Tap on "Want more?" 4) Tap on Purchase Subscription [It will NOT automatically charge you again]. 5) At the bottom of the Subscription page touch "Restore". If you have a subscription it will be restored and the full functionality of the app is returned. I haven't used it in over a year and it is soooo much better than it was before. Great way to experience these awesome old radio shows!

Small glitch 😊
So I was attempting to show a buddy how awesome this app is but ran into some trouble, the app wasn’t responding well so I called support and spoke to mike and he walked me through the issue, all I had to do is reload the app and BAM ! I’m back to enjoying amazing radio broadcast from when times where simpler.
Mike was absolutely helpful in get me back in the saddle again and had amazing customer service.
I highly recommend this app to anyone who wants to get away from their TV’s and jump back in time and relax while listening to your favorite show.

Best OTR player is worst for updates
Every few months I am a paying monthly subscriber, until I quit because the player play controls don’t work outside the app itself, and little to no updates except what’s needed to keep the app working in the OS. There is not a single app for OTR that is well supported and therefore little to nothing to encourage competition that would force developers to work.
One of the best OTR players but the worst for updates. The player controls are strange so they do not work on anything else like an Apple Watch. And at the end of some tracks a loud annoying reminder comes on to tell you what you already know, that your listening via this vintage radio app.

Recommended!
Just discovered this app. It's very good; well worth the subscription price. If I could make a couple of suggestions: 1) sort downloads by show (right now they seem to be sorted just by year). 2) if you could link each episode to a show synopsis that would be wonderful.
Most of the shows I've sampled have good sound quality. So far I've only been disappointed with the Great Gildersleeve episodes I tried. Hopefully the developers will replace low sound quality shows with cleaned up versions as they find them.

Reasonable but buggy
I pay for the annual subscription and am pleased with the extensive library. However, the library hasn’t grown in years and is missing some well known shows.
Main complaints are two items.
1. The “on this day” feature is never actually the correct date. Right now it believes it is January 14th, over four months ago. At best it’s always one day behind. Odd, because it should be pulling time and date from the phone. Developer wasn’t very helpful when I brought the issue to their attention.
2. It’s buggy when you pause or change devices. Try unplugging your headphones and switching to a speaker, and you get stuck in an infinite loop of hitting the “resume” button.

A good product BUT...
...don’t ever expect these people to put out any updates or fixes on any problems that you may have with the app. I’ve been asking over & over to have my issue corrected. The first time, via a phone call, it was basically a sure, we’ll look into it response. After almost a year with no updates at all I put up a 1 star review saying that although the app overall is a fine app and that I would give the 5 stars it deserves, they still did NOTHING!!!!
The administrator of the website emailed me to complain why I didn’t let him know BEFORE I put up that review. I wrote him back and said “read my review, the reason is self explanatory!” That was over a month ago. No response, NOTHING!!
I’ll be putting out 1 star reviews weekly until a fix to my issue comes out.
