Naaaiii S.,
THANK YOU!
Virginia has finally created an online system to make changes to our healthcare plans and comparing which plan is best for our needs! As well as being able to easily search from providers that are covered by our insurance plan. I shouldn’t be this happy about this app but I am! Well done and very easy to navigate.
brcbgd,
Part of the app doesn’t work
I attempted to enroll in a plan first and pick my provider later and it said that I was enrolled in every plan I clicked on and would have to contact my provider to change it. I wasn’t enrolled in anything. I finally had to pick a provider first and then pick a plan that worked with them, but I wanted to take more time to review providers before I picked a plan first. The process ended up taking much longer than it needed to. Otherwise, the app was mostly fine. I wish there was a way to click on the phone numbers though.
troym.games,
Not very user friendly
My main beef with medallion and what I consider a big one, is that the app does not allow or have ratings for doctors from people that have already seen and used them. Also, when enrolling for a provider the search function only works once and then you must go back a couple screens and retype everything or reselect everything to search again. These were worth giving the app an average rating for and personally probably should be lower as knowing what or how others feel about a doctor is sometimes the best and easiest way to choose a new doctor.

Not Loading
Just downloaded this app, to enroll in my MCO for Health Insurance and when I click to open the app it’s just continues to have a purple circle in the middle of the screen going in a circular motion with broken dashes, which I’m assuming indicates that it’s loading. But that’s all the app does, it’s been well over 10 minutes and that’s all I’ve got. I don’t know if there is a bug or there is an update that’s being worked on. But I hope it gets fixed soon! I was very happy that I could just sign up on my mobile device using this app without the hassle being on hold for awhile over the phone. Please fix ASAP! Thank you!
1Laineydainey,
Zero communication.
Since Virginia premiere did not let me know that the doctor I had been using with Kaiser was not covered (even though it let me select her as my provider) I continued my prenatal care for three more visits since I have one month left of my pregnancy. Today when I received my member card there was a random doctors name. I called this doctors office to find out he was not even a doctor anymore. I also found out they will not allow me on that plan (that it let me select) over 3 weeks later and am left paying those bills, finding a new doctor, and a new hospital to deliver at weeks before my due date.

Prefer better than so called 'Helpline'!
Needed to change my health plan so I called them first.. Got a lazy agent who wasted time between acting like the call was never picked up and asking me to hold while she 'looked up' my info smh.. Hung up on her and downloaded this app.. I did what I had to do and was back to living life in like 45 seconds!

Pretty Straightforward & Simple
The app was actually pretty great.

My only suggestion is to only show doctors who are accepting new patients; because showing doctors who are aren’t accepting new patients is pointless and creates clutter where it need not be.

Other than that, the app was quick and easy to use and I was able to change my Medicaid plan to a better one and find a Primary Care Physician in a few minutes.
valitru,
So easy to use
This app is incredibly easy to use and kept me from being on hold with some automated robot trying to get to a real person. The only thing I wish it did have was ratings on physicians. However, this information is easily obtained by googling the physician’s name

Provider doesn’t accept Medicaid
I scheduled an appointment with a provider that was recommended through the app as a practitioner (and office) that accepts Medicaid. When I walked into for my appointment, I was informed that they do not accept Medicaid and stopped accepting it a month ago. The entire purpose of this app is to streamline the process; I expect the information to be accurate and up-to-date. I gave another star only because the app is quick and functions well, which is great, but also pointless if the information is inaccurate.
cowlady2009,
App is “ok”
Pros: great plan comparison feature
Cons: the “find a provider” feature is unhelpful. It’s gives a very generic list based on location with no sorting feature for your specific plan. There are also no sorting features based on needs. You’re better off to download the app for your specific plan to find a provider and then see if they also accept Medicaid.
