War was probably the first card game you learned to play growing up! With its simple rules and quick game play, it's fun for all ages. War - The Card Game, is the free to play mobile version, with a few twists!
With this updated version, you get four different game modes:
• Classic War is simple and plays exactly like the classic card game. The deck is split into two piles; each player flips over cards from the top of their deck, and the high card wins. Ties are broken with a "war", with extra cards put at stake. The players face off until one opponent completely runs out of cards.
• 3 Wars is a quick-to-play mode. It has the same deck rules as Classic War, only the first player to win three wars wins the game!
• Strategy War: In this variation each player draws five cards at random from their deck, and and can choose which order to play them in. This is a great challenge to outsmart your friends!
• Reserve War: This popular variation allows players to choose up to 3 cards to reserve for later play, but be forewarned, reserving a card costs you to lose the next card to your opponent!

It's good...
A way to mute the sound effects would be nice, and I don't understand why I need a second iPad or an iPhone or other I device just to play with my wife or other friend, just fit both decks on the same screen opposite from each other, and make it multi touch (the cards are always unseen anyways until the draw) kinda silly to need to buy a second $600-$800 iPad to play a game of war... The bluetooth feature should be a luxury not a necessity

It’s ok because the game is really laggy and I can’t win it’s really not even possible to win and it has too much ads and it has really bad ads kids are not to watch so it’s ok

But when I played I lost EVERY FREAKIN TIME!!!
I know what you guys are trying to do, you want us to get all worked up and full of fury, and want us to keep playing! I LOVE war, it's just I usually never loose every time! Did you guys do that on purpose?! I'm going to play it one more time, and I loose AGAIN, I will delete it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mediocre.
This app could be much better. The gunshot noises really got annoying after awhile and it would be nice to have the option to turn them off within the settings without having to silence my iPad. It would be nice to have different card fronts too, and I noticed the denim background was green! Whoops. It really needs a lot of work. I would rather wait to break out a deck of cards with my friends and play.

No way to turn the noise off
They added an annoying noise here, and there is nothing is settings to stop the noise... Also nothing to get the traditional card faces.. only the new type.. THis app was nice and easy and simple.. now has added annoying options... Please make a way to turn the annoying sound off and change the face fronts to normal style!

Great family fun
There are a few bells and whistles I would have liked to have seen, but this is a solid app and a lot of fun
with the kids.
It is easy enough for the 6 year old to use. We played wirelessly with little problem. The app didn't freeze or lag.

Awesome App...
...just needs to have horizontal features. Also, there needs to be the ability to upload your own card back. Otherwise, the gameplay is very addicting!

Fun but,
It's fun but the game is way after than in person, in Person war can take hours but it took me two minutes to play a game will give 5 stars when the game is slower.

Nice and improved play but keeps crashing
As I said, nice and improved but keeps crashing. I delete it and redownload it and it will play for a while. Looking forward to a fix.

This is great game but needs some help to make it really great. First you have to be able play against someone else with the same iPad .
