The game will take you into the times when aviation was in its dawning of existence – the first Wright brothers machines went into the sky just 11 years before the Great War! Engineers were quickly adapting this brand new invention into military purposes while creating fascinating and sometimes oddly looking planes.
In Warplanes: WW1 Sky Aces you take control of over 30 historical airplanes – including the Fokker Dr.I, famous for its pilot Manfred von Richthofen a.k.a. “Red Baron”. Others stemming from light fighters like the Airco DH.2 to an enormous 4-engine bomber like the Sikorsky Ilya Muromets – all planes can be customized and upgraded.
Choose between two modes suited for different playstyles and skillsets. In Pilot Mode you can simply focus on air combat, collecting and upgrading planes. Squadron Leader Mode adds an extra layer to the gameplay – apart from combat, you also need to manage resources, hire and train pilots and expand your base.
Two campaigns for Triple Entente and one for Central Powers will let you experience all major fronts of World War I – you’ll fly above most countries that participated in the conflict in various types of mission. Pilot fighters and bombers. Protect or destroy ground targets. Face mighty zeppelins and anti aircraft artillery to change the tides of war.

How do you play all nations?
This game is fantastic except that I can not figure out how to play more than British, German, and Russian nations? I played British pilot mode and British squadron mode until all planes were bought and fully upgraded. I pressed restart game and all progress was deleted. Then I chose Squadron leader/western powers, and the tutorial for the British began again. I never had an opportunity to choose any of the other nations? I searched for help but found only reviews online. Otherwise I would have given this game 5 stars as the world is amazingly beautiful. Please answer this question for me and others who get stuck?

Love this game! A few recommendations tho!
I have been playing this game non-stop recently, and I really enjoy the WW1 style aircraft models! Please do not abandon the game as it has tons of potential! It is the only game I know of that has a mission based combat set in the sky’s of the Great War. If I had to make suggestions, it would be to allow Japan as a playable nation since they were involved, would also like to see a multiplayer mode enabled so I could battle my friends! In all honesty though, their could be more aircraft added to the game and maybe remove the purchasable planes so you could unlock them for in game currency. It would add more to the game and allow for longer playthroughs! All in all great game! Just could use a few tweaks.

Holds interest: pretty and well crafted
It's really very good. The scenery and targets look pretty good and the game is properly hard while you're learning and building up your squadron. I think a good balance of ads and premium purchases, you don't have to spend money if you really don't want to. Nice arcadey controls, would be nice to have brakes as well as accelerator. Fun to customize planes, annoying that you can't keep your fighters out of flak while the bombers get rid of it, and would be nice to direct fighters to attack bombers or fighters. The ground scenery is fun to fly around even without shooting or bombing it! It has kept my interest.

Amazing game but one thing
This is the best World War I game I’ve ever gotten but one thing the game is really good all the nations are amazing one of my favorite planes is the red baron if you like World War I planes I recommend getting this the game is just way too easy the World War II dogfighter game is challengi but fun I wish the game was a little bit more difficult but I’m going to give this five stars because it’s really fun I wish this was a little bit more difficult but the game is really good and amazing!!

Finally a Good Game
This is perfection. To me of course, and I would love to see more features being added and plane designs no doubt. The plane squadron idea is something I have never seen before, let me tell you it is such a good idea. I have to cap this: THANK YOU FOR MAKING A GAME THAT HAS BALANCED AI SYSTEM AND DOESN'T CRASH! I hate to be cringe and say this like everyone else, but there is no way else, extreme potential just put ADS up for it, Great game! You make me stay up till four in the morning playing this... thanks. #5*

If you liked Red Baron/Rise of Flight...
I’m very impressed with this game. Not only does it have a great campaign mode with lots of unlockables, there is also a nice mission editor where you can make your own campaign and share it with the community. You can choose your squadron’s paint scheme too! Just like Red Baron/Rise of Flight! Gameplay is much simpler than said games; more arcade like but still plenty of fun in my opinion. Highly recommended!

Amazing start
Amazing start for this game that’s well balanced to be satisfying fun and not frustrating. However, truly would benefit from in game Manual/Guide explaining controls and planes and missions and tips. Would save time learning from trial and error. ALSO, could there be a Pause button that allows one to read the Mission/Plane stats that are on screen during combat so one can avoid being shot down while reading vital info! Thanks for great looking game. Keep it up!

So this game is my favorite WW1 game so far I love the graphics and the action and peace really I love but please ad these updates
1. Make it so that you can add names to your planes
2. Please make the add on bombers 60 or 50 cents please I realy want one but don’t want to pay a dollar

Great game!
You have an option for almost everything (game settings wise)! but can you make the Fokker Dr. I free for all of the Richthofen fans out there. Can you also add a little NPC land battle down below the planes so it feels more immersive. other than that it’s an epic game that feels like something on a PlayStation or a PC that runs very smoothly, thank you for this great masterpiece.

Fun game, but can’t save or change sides.
As the title says. Loads of fun in this game, but no way to save progress. Whenever I close the app, it restarts and all my earned points are gone. Can’t change between sides. It would be nice to play the Entente, save, then play Central powers, then Russia.
Suggestion for upgrade: Have a map to show the progress of the levels.
Overall a great concept for a flying/shooting game. I’m looking forward to how the company progresses 🤟
