Workouts good
I love the workouts in this but if I’m being honest the macro counter just takes too long. My fitness pal just works way smoother and I hate having to create a new recipe just for one item let’s say a pre made protein shake. Sometimes it takes too long to scan or the function doesn’t work. I use my fitness pal still because of its quickness and how smooth it works. I do like the recipes added in their but wish there was a little more variety. Overall I love the app still but still some work on the smoothness of the macro counter to me.

Amazing app for all fitness enthusiasts
Started going to the gym for the first time ever. Have completed a full body and 2, 8 week shreds. Definitely worth the money if you are on the fence and haven’t had much gym experience or don’t know what to do and want to maximize your workouts this is a great app to guide you through your fitness journey. Would recommend this to everyone from beginners to advanced athletes.

Would like to see feature where you don’t have to name every meal because sometimes I just eat random combinations of things that I wouldn’t need memorized or named. Would rather the named meal be considered a favorite named meal (like a breakfast taco). And everything else just be a default blank meal I can fill in. Naming the meal has annoyed me to the point I just don’t feel like using the macro tracker anymore.

Would also like to see lock in option for exercises that only have reps. I’m not doing 100 hanging x raises for each set. 10-20 is more than enough.

A slow progression feature would be great for delt raises like maybe only raise it once halfway through. It gives you too much weight too fast. As a beginner for that exercise you can’t tell it’s too heavy till you get to 45lbs and realize you are not getting the full contraction and put it back down to 20lbs.

Decent but could really improve
I really like this app. The programs are put together fairly well for novices. My biggest complaint is everything is programmed and you can’t change much. For meal tracking, everything has to be assigned as a meal. You can’t just have eat something one day and input it, you have to name it and make it a meal. Same with the workouts in the programs. You are very limited to what you can substitute and exercise with instead of giving you the ability to customize it a little more for injuries or whatever you may be going through that prevents you from doing the proposed exercise. There is also no way to just delete an exercise for a day if you can’t complete it that day. Overall good app, but needs to have the option for some more user customization.

Great app
I honestly don’t understand why people are hating on the app. The app just released so yeah, you should expect some issues. It’s technology, it’s not always perfect right from the get. The app is better than any fitness app I’ve used. It tracks my calories and all I have to do is scan my food. It gives me a calorie, carbs, protein, etc based on my weight and activity level. I think the best part of the app is that it will keep track of how much weight your using and it will increase the weight for you by 5 pounds so you never really have to think about it. Anyone who’s starting to get into fitness, this is your application. Great job to David and the development team on this app👍

App has potential, not worth it at the moment.
This app has a ton of potential if the UI is cleaned up a bit. The issue I have mainly is how the workout programs are laid out in the UI. The app makes you enter information and go through a wait timer through your workout. I just want to see the Movement/Sets/Reps/video with the OPTION to input that info and not have to click through the app a ton of times to get through the workout. I also think the workout programs should either unlock by the week or month, not by the day.
I know I like to see my workouts for the week instead of having to wait DAY OF to see that workout. I understand why it’s in place, but if we are having to pay a monthly subscription, at least unlock by the month since we paid for the month already.

Lots of Potential
I wanna start off by saying that I love your vision for the app and what it has to offer. I think with refinement, this could be the best all in one fitness app out there. There are many little issues that need to be addressed first - clunkiness, inability to cancel a subscription instantaneously, wrong nutrition facts popping up when you scan food, just to name a few. I think it would be great if you were able to go back during a workout, meaning to go back to a previous exercise, as I personally have accidentally clicked the start button a few times and have not been able to go back. Like the title, great start , lots of potential for this app!

Extremely easy to follow.
Been following how to beast for about 2 years now. When I heard about the app I had to check it out. Been training very Inconsistently for the last 5 years (I am 25). But this app takes out all the guess work. Never have to think about workouts just log In and follow the plan, finally seeing results and noticeable strength gains.

If I could improve one thing I wish I could jump around within a workout. Sometimes a rack or bench is occupied and I want to come back to that exercise later. Other than than that it is amazing! Keep up the good work David.

Get it while the price is low!
David knows what he’s talking about. He’s a NASM certified personal trainer and his workouts come with detailed video demonstrations for every exercise. Keep in mind that I’m writing this on day 1. Anybody that has downloaded an app right as it comes out will tell you there are always bugs. That was the case with the calorie counter on day 1. He already addressed that right away. Don’t let that deter you from using an amazing routine from someone that wants to see your gains just as much as you. Oh, one last thing... GAINS BRO!

Really great app
First, David (the personal trainer who created Beastly) put many different weightlifting routines in there, including a great and very challenging bodyweight workout, which is helpful if you’re not going to a gym these days. Besides the weightlifting routines, he has a very good calorie/macronutrient tracker that has an extensive food database that has tons of name-brand items, plus a fun barcode scanner that identifies the product you’re eating, including its calories and macros. Great job, David! This app really inspires me to stay on plan with my workouts and eating.

The best fitness app
This app is great. There are so many different programs to choose from. Tracking the weights and the weekly increase suggestions, really help gain strength. Not to mention you can track your food and progress as well. I think it is definitely worth the purchase for wherever you are at in your fitness journey. There are programs for beginners and more experienced lifters. The app is also super easy to use! Overall 10/10.
