Life simplifying
I love Castlight! The ease of use is amazing. I love having all my health information in one spot made so easy to access and understand. It shows you your claims, your deductible status, your out of pocket status, your health dollars remaining and it’s easy to check in a glance. It’s saved me more than once at a doctor’s office when they were trying to charge me and I could pull it up right there and show them the amount of health dollars remaining. It’s so great how you can link right from there to any of your healthcare policies, including eye and dental. And not only can you access all the things you need, but it has useful links to other things that might benefit you.
You can link to anything and everything you need for your health all in one easy to use spot. If only the rest of life could be simplified this way!

Five Stars
Everything is great with this app. This app helps me keep myself motivated and stay on track. The point system keeps me going on days I don’t want to. Personally, I use points to purchase gift cards to buy new running shoes as a treat. New shoes means more running which means more points for new shoes and repeat. It’s like my own positive feedback loop! There was a minor issue with the sleep tracking on previous versions in relation to apples newest SW. I reached out to the developer and it seems like they resolved the issue. They were prompt in their response and swift in resolving the issue. Excellent customer service!

Ok but needs two major updates
It’s ok but please add a search function ao we can actually find what we are looking for.
Would also be a huge improvement if you could update the manual activity entry options so we can enter data without using these terrible side scrollers that are way too sensitive and the values are way too specific for such a large number range (180 touch points in less than 3 inches!) so it takes almost a minute to adjust to correct value for each field! A drop down or open entry 3 digit number field would be far more practical.
The “rewards” offered are a joke, as they are just sweepstakes for things I don’t actually want that go in for way too long and have tens of thousands of entries, so odds of winning are practically zero; but I’m guessing that is based on my employer and not the app itself.

Worse than Jiff and paid reviews?
I installed Castlight and it had my Garmin added from the previous Jiff app but Apple HealthKit does NOT work! This is a known issue that appears (based on previous reviews) to be an ignored issue. Support indicated through chat that it is a known issue but there is no fix.
Some pages in the app will simply not load, with a loading screen churning away for a minute+ and chat support didn’t load 3 of the 4 times attempted with an error the second time and nothing but an empty support screen three other times.
Loading times are slow for many of the app pages and content is arranged awkwardly so navigating the app can be frustrating.
I still enjoy perks for spending earned points, but even this process is more time consuming because each time you want to enter a 10 point drawing, you must do it individually. Not a big deal, but in jiff I seem to remember being able to select how many entries I wanted at one time so I didn’t have to sit through loading multiple screens for each entry. Again, not a big deal, but 10 entries now takes 10+ times longer.
Jiff was a better app in my opinion.

Finally, healthcare feels simple!
What an experience to be able to see everything about my plan and all the benefits I have on one website / in one app. I felt frozen to do anything with my healthcare because I didn’t know how much it would cost to see the doctor and I didn’t know what was covered. I didn’t want to end up with a giant bill! But now I feel like I’m in control.
I absolutely love how easy it is to earn points and get free stuff! If I didn’t already have motivation to be healthy, this is just icing on the cake. I also love Monj, the nutrition and recipe site. How cool is that!

Better not make a mistake!
To get a much needed discount on our insurance we have to get so many points on this app in a three month time period, and unfortunately it is kind of difficult to get around when you first download. I was going through the ways to get points and got stuck in the “Preventative Screening Attestation” menu, I couldn’t get back to the list, so I hit no on the yes/no options because it appeared that was the way back. WRONG. It is now locked with a green check mark, not able to be changed to yes after my appointment. So I just lost the ability to get 500 points, which is a ton in their points system. The tech support says they are, “Aware of the errors that may happen. But to not have the ability to correct or reverse the mistake at this time.”

Perfect
I took my daughter for her first ever gynecologist appointment and he just talked to her the first day, no exam. Spent a good solid 30 minutes educating her about college and things that can happen, educational preventative measures and taking special care to make her comfortable and care about her health. He is a gem. He is new to the area for a couple years now and moved from Colorado and did his residency in New York. He talks to you and is a normal down to earth smart human. I would trust him with myself or any of my three daughters.

Very Slow and Update is Even Worse
Updated to reduce from 2 stars to 1. The app went from slow to the point of not even loading. My phone is on the latest iOS and the app is updated, so this should not be happening. It has also stopped capturing data from linked applications such as Apple Health. Usage of this app has actively contributed to adding frustration to my day.
I want to like this app. It is really nice to have integration of a number of different health elements incentivized with rewards for achievement. It doesn’t really do anything that Apple Health is missing aside getting a reward. The biggest problem is that the App is painfully slow. It takes longer to load than any other app on my phone by a long shot. After the most recent update it won’t even load.

Wish it could measure other workouts other than steps
I would love this app more if it read my steps consistently and if you were able to count other workouts in place of steps. It’s frustrating when some days I do a long run and therefore end up with anywhere from 20,000 to 30,000 steps or more depending on what distance I’m training for. It would be nice to have some way of giving my feet a break the day after a long run by biking or swimming or even doing my weight workouts and having this count towards my steps. Ask, I find that some days my steps aren’t syncing up on Castlight. Otherwise I think this app is very motivating.

Almost good
Overall seemed good, but the devil is in the details if you care about having accurate tracking. First, you have to enter your password every time you enter the app. No way far as I can see to correct that. very annoying. Next, I was having issues with my activity tracker and have been entering sleep and steps manually. The slide bars to enter your steps and sleep hours is very frustrating. It’s hard to get the slide bar on the right number. If you accidentally entered information for anything on the wrong day you’re stuck with it. Called the support line and they can’t fix it on their end either. So no way to correct any mistakes. Very frustrating
