Better than my therapist
5 Days ago I would not have been able to or want to even write a review. I have recently been diagnosed with GAD. Sudden onset after getting a positive COVID result. An instant fire ran through my body. Ever since then I have had sensations I have never felt before. This is all day everyday. I have had a few good days. I don’t feel as if I had lots of anxious thoughts before. I Still have lots of questions of course. Now that I have DARE app I can calm down when my anxiety gets bad. Before I never knew anything about this anxiety. Dare has helped me fall asleep at night, breath, stop all different types of sensations, even face my fear of anxiety it’s self. Again I just started so I am still growing strength everyday. With the use of this app and the amazing creators I know I have it in me to overcome this. I really feel for the ones who have been dealing with this long before this. I can honestly say your strong and if you haven’t tried the DARE app I recommend it…. Highly recommend it. To the ones who have overcame this congrats and thank you for sharing what you have learned using DARE and what you felt helped you the most. I’m just amazed at how a different mental approach to anxiety and understanding it has made it diminish. I’m still working on this and will be using DARE everyday. Yes even after I have control over my anxiety. God bless.

Everyone with anxiety should know about Dare
This is the best way to address your anxiety!! When I was 11 I got this feeling that nothing around me was real and it was terrifying. It continued on for days and I had no idea how I would live like that so I looked into it. I found out it was a symptom of anxiety. My mom told me to read a book she had used before DARE and I started using the approach. For months I practiced it until the unreality feeling (Depersonalization/derealization) slowly began to happen less often, and when it did, I wasn’t scared anymore. What this approach does is make so that you are not afraid of your anxiety anymore, which makes it go away on its own. The goal of the four steps is to not mind that your anxiety is there and even “invite” it to stay.
The approach saved me from crying in class, not being able to sleep, interrupting daily activities, etc. I got it in 2022 February and it was gone by November. The process may go slower or faster for other people but if you put 100% effort into it every time you feel anxiety coming on it WILL work. I am 12 now and I don’t even think about it anymore, it was such a big deal back then but now it feels like nothing. Every once in a while I’ll get the sensation again but I don’t care anymore because I know it is completely harmless. THANK YOU DARE!!

HELPING SO MUCH
I usually never write reviews but this app deserves it! I have dealt with anxiety basically all my life but a few weeks ago it came back full force. Health anxiety had me running to the doctors daily, intrusive thoughts had me thinking I was crazy, the sensations the come along with generalized anxiety were taking a toll on me physically and mentally. I lost 11lbs in a week because I had to force myself to eat. Doctor prescribed me a medication that made it worse and then my mom found this app. She actually forced me to use it and I thank god everyday because of it. I can now ride out the waves of adrenaline and calm back down, I have my full appetite back and am gaining my weight back. I’m able to push myself out of my comfort zone regularly and I get through it! Last night I noticed I was able to just let intrusive thoughts float by while I was reading to my daughter and that’s something that I usually stop and try to block for years now. I never noticed how much I let my anxiety control me until I started this app. Currently waiting for my hard copy of the book and workbook to get here. I couldn’t recommend this enough. Take control of your life! This app is a game changer as long as YOU are willing to put in the work to get there.

Worth all the wealth in the world!
I have suffered from anxiety since I was a small child. At times it has been horrific. I’ve lost jobs, lost my home, and my car because of anxiety literally crippling me! I downloaded this app yesterday, as well as the audiobook by the same name (completely free with an audible 30 day free trial) and I cannot begin to tell you the impact they have already had on my life. These tools are worth all the wealth in the world, and I’m only using the free version thus far! As soon as I’m able to afford it I will be subscribing. I see a therapist regularly and will continue to do so as should you. As mentioned repeatedly in this app and book neither of these tools take the place of a therapist.

The thing that made me get this app is the fact that I’m 45 years old and having total hip replacement surgery in less than a week and I’m terrified! Amazing app!!!!
This app saved me. I was going down a path that was not healthy for me. Something happened at my old job that caused me to see i needed to work on changes in my life and to work on myself and i had panic attacks like everyday i could not concentrate in school, or driving, or other everyday activities. I found this app and i am still in process with it but i am better off where i was.. i am still achieving progress each day following what is taught. Its such a great tool and I thank these challenges & daily dares to learn so much about myself and give the self love i deserved and needed. If you put it to your everyday life, you will see progress and it will teach you to not get down on yourself & see the little things as progress. I also enjoy the quotes each day that pop as a notification!

Amazing, amazing amazing.
A couple of years ago I went on a trip to Colorado with my boyfriend and his family. The trip was very traumatic, & when we came back home I didn’t feel like myself and i had an out of body experience. Many things happened on the trip, and I can barely even talk about it now without feeling anxious. This led to terrible car anxiety and I wouldn’t go anywhere at all. Brought me out of a spiral
I decided to download a bunch of self help anxiety apps when I had my first real panic attack and then another panic attack each day afterwards. After not eating and throwing up and being miserable every night and scared during the day, this app was the best at helping me with being alone with my thoughts. I’m still working out of this anxious state and this app has been so helpful at diffusing my anxiety spiral thoughts.
I recommend it to anyone who is looking for an instant help to manage this constant feeling of dread that you might have another panic attack. The SOS feature is so nice but the actual lessons on working to deal with your anxiety is even more helpful (which is why I would recommend buying the addition stuff-it’s only monthly and you cancel at any time which is nice.)I think the reason I had a panic attack was because I was living with my anxiety unchecked for so long! So far it’s been nice working through these lessons and using this app! Hopefully it works for you the way it’s been a relief for me. ✨

So thankful for this app
Four weeks ago I started having sudden heart palpitations, thinking I was having a heart attack I immediately went to the ER to be told I was fine (skipping a few beats). Since then I was in a constant fight or flight response, unable to sleep, unable to eat. I ended up in the ER two more times convinced I was having a heart attack and not able to breathe. My sister sent me an article regarding menopause and heart arrhythmias and at the end of the article were many comments about the DARE app. So I downloaded it and couldn’t believe what I was hearing! I was actually normal! And everything I was feeling was due to anxiety. I haven’t stopped talking about this app since I started listening to it 5 days ago. The knot in my belly is gone, I can go for a walk again, I’m sleeping better and I’m able to eat food. I wish more physicians were aware that this app exists. A big thank you to all who are responsible for making this incredible DARE app possible.

Amazing!
I absolutely love this app. I have struggled with generalized anxiety disorder with anxiety attacks my entire life. In recent months I found myself in a tough spot with my anxiety. I can’t explain the amount of things I’ve tried, including different medications that unfortunately weren’t able to help or only helped in a tiny way. This app has done so much good for my anxiety and it has been amazing. I know I can turn to it and it will be of help. I’m so very thankful for this app and have been telling my friends and family about it. I have only used the free version but I’m hoping to buy the subscription soon because there’s a lot of great tools in the app that seem worth it! If you’re doubting if this app is for you, there’s a lot of free audio files in the app that you can try. It’s always worth a shot. Again, highly recommend this app to ANYONE. Thank you so much to the creators of this app. It’s gotten me through a lot and I feel so validated/proud of myself!

It Really Works
I’ve been using the DARE Response book for awhile but the app makes it easier to keep up with the steps. Today I had the first panic attack in many months. I clicked on the “Help, I’m having a Panic Attack” audio and Barry’s soothing voice was there to let me know I wasn’t alone and that he would help me get through it. It was a better experience than I’ve ever had and I’ve been through over five therapists who never knew what to say. Barry’s technique for getting me through the panic attack worked quickly. Then I was able to engage in a hobby which made me forget I felt intense fear only a half hour before. Soon after I was able to figure out what made me nervous in the first place. It was so silly. Our minds run away with ridiculous ideas. The premium version of this app is worth it. I wish I had gotten it sooner. Barry, please never stop making audio recordings. Your voice is like the best friend I never knew I needed.
