pandara77,
Easy to Get Invested!
Keeps you engaged and coming back to it for a long time. I didn't expect to receive lore from a mining game but I was always intrigued and wanting to know more. The music is pretty nice and the art is appealing.
A few grammar mistakes here and there but nothing that affects understanding of the mechanics. Overall, really fun and worth some of your time

Some minor concerns:
- when I upgrade the above ground floors, they will continue to produce things while upgrading. Normally this is ok but the crafting and smelting stations have at times eaten up a lot of my basic resources because I forgot to clear them out before upgrading. This is especially important for the crafting floor, because there are multiple items that use copper, for example, I've accidentally used all of it on something like nails in the past
- some of the attacks for fighting the elders could be explained better. It took me a while to figure out how miracle gas works, as well as how the repair bots help exactly
- the rare items tab automatically sets the slider to maximum when you're destroying items. I more than once accidentally destroyed a big chunk of my rare items when I only wanted one or two destroyed
- it took me a little bit to realize how to navigate the menus in the beginning, and I actually didn't realize you could go higher above ground for a while
- some of the mining stations make sounds and some don't? I could be wrong about this

Favorite Offline Game But You Better Save
I honestly really liked this game. There are so many items you can collect and even some interesting lore. I didn’t realize how much I would come back to this game just to see if I had enough materials to upgrade. Despite this process taking so darn long, it keeps you coming back to it and it is very satisfying when you finally accomplish it. I haven’t even brought up all of the different floors you can build and upgrade to acquire more materials not to mention the game works very well offline.

There is one big issue I ran into unexpectedly, however, which is why I don’t play anymore:( I don’t know if this has happened to anyone else but I was on level 387 and excited because I was close to what I can only assume was the final boss of the whole, entire areas. Unfortunately, I wasn’t yet strong enough to beat the current corrupt block and was saving for an upgrade, so I closed the game to do something else. When I got back on, however, my progress was completely reset. I was on level one again and I didn’t realize you could save before. Keep in mind that I’ve been playing the game off and on for at least a year and I don’t know how to get my progress back. So a warning to anyone who wants to play: save your progress.
littleskele,
Very addicting and fun buuut…
This game is overall very well thought out and keeps you grinding for more which makes it really fun. But, some quality of live improvements would go a long way in this game. For example, crafting. I constantly find myself with an excessive amounts of crafted items after I left the game for too long, so what I propose is a bar that you can control that limits the amounts of items you want to craft, for example 1000 amber chargers, or 100 insulated wires and a switch that you can toggle enables how the game crafts now. Another addition that would go great with this is a queued item list, so after you’re done crafting 1000 amber chargers, it immediately switches to crafting 100 insulated wires. Lastly, I propose an easier way to mass move mining stations, chemical miners etc. I propose you revamp the “mine buildings” menu and allow for you to move the mining stations, chemical miners, etc. with more ease.

I hope you didn’t take this the wrong way, i absolutely love this game and would just like to see it grow more.
mad staks,
As good as Minecraft
Minecraft is good you know what else is good...deep town you mine through the earth just like Minecraft and you can also craft stuff like in Minecraft and it’s also a long game just like Minecraft there is basically everything there is in Minecraft in this game the only thing that sets it apart from Minecraft is that it’s realistic and it’s 2D this is a great game that I play for hours every day and I love it this is also a great mobile game and there aren’t that many good mobile games so I’m happy that this is a good game it’s a perfect balance of difficulty and fun and it’s feels good to progress in this game and the quest feel rewarding it’s also a great game for kids because it is entertaining and family friendly this is one of the most greatest games I’ve ever played and I’m hoping for a sequel called deep town 2 thank you for this game rockbite studios
FearMartyr,
Fun & Entertaining
Deep Town is a fun and entertaining game that is ACTUALLY free to play! It does take a bit of time to make noticeable progress but that is half the fun. Who wants a game that ends quickly anyways? You gain gems from completing an ENORMOUS amount of quests (which are actually not a drag... there is a decent story line behind it all). You also receive gold from selling the items you have mined/found/received from crates, etc., and between the gems and the gold that you get, you are given everything that you NEED to progress in game for FREE! (Of course you could always speed things up by buying gems but it’s NOT a pay to win (or play) game here in the slightest, which I appreciate and will continue to enjoy playing! Thank You For This *Gem* Of A Game!
TheFluffyness,
Only 2 Hours of Idle???
I’m going to agree with the other recent reviews, I was just starting to make really good headway in the game, a decent mining setup, upgraded bots and knocking out objectives left and right. Now I’m hit with a two hour idle limit?? What the heck?? It was fun before but now my 3 hour boosters on my bots mean little to nothing if I’m limited to only two hours of offline idle! With school and work, along with sleep, taking up most of my other time, I can’t check it often enough to warrant anything. I get that the devs are trying to maximize income, but this isn’t how you do it. The game just overrode its biggest feature of having timed bots in the first place. If they redact this feature of 2 hours of idle, the game will be good again. But as it stands, it isn’t worth it. Not enough can be done in two hours of idle. In eight hours, a decent can be done and it’s usually the right amount of time for any amount of idle. Limiting it like this isn’t how you grow the game. It sadly wasn’t an improvement this time. I hope the devs see this and reverse this decision.
V.143,
Fun but confusing
This game was really fun for me for about a few weeks, but one thing I quickly realized was how confusing this game is. There were two main issues I had with this game, one concerning the crafting and smelting floors and the other involving the satellite. I think you guys just need to implement a better tutorial including a) how to smelt, craft, buy new buildings b) how to build the satellite (I don’t mean the missions, I mean integrating a second tutorial that actually puts you through the motions. I’m looking for more of a hands on experience here). Other than that, this game was fairly fun and entertaining but even the layout of where things were was hard to navigate. Please correct these and integrate the story more—after that, I’ll be much more pleased with how this game turned out. For now, I’m deleting it and giving it three stars. I’ll be downloading it again sometime soon to see if the bugs were fixed, though, so I’ll definitely give it second and third chances.
Castlewench,
Fun diversion up to a point
This is a unique and well crafted game. I appreciate the thought and care that went into it, and this is one of the few games of this genre that isn’t constantly trying to make you spend big money or watch a billion ads. The ads are there and cash items, but the suggestions are subtle and the game is very much still playable without spending. That makes me want to invest some money into it for my appreciation of their work.

However, things changed when I got to Area 75 or thereabouts.

Suddenly the majority of quests and items to craft require me to dig to area 85 and the costs to upgrade mining tools is enormous. Also, when I got to this level, I was offered nothing new to explore or fun little hints that something good was coming up.

Up until Area 75 or so, the quests and new crafting items seemed on par (though I think the dependency on coal and copper goes too far into the game. It should progress to newer resources.) but suddenly everything is stalled until Area 85. I just grind out the materials I need to upgrade mines and make coins. The game got boring quickly.

Also, what’s up with Trading? I keep upgrading, but the prices for items are about 1/2 the price of selling them. At the level I’m on, the prices are supposed to be 1.14 the selling price. They’re no more than 0.50. Seems like a waste of time to even open it.
NatalieLovesYou:),
Fun game but...
Don’t get me wrong this game is awesome...until it decided to break on me this morning and now the game won’t even LOAD whenever the bar gets full the music starts playing but nothing else happens the game just has the loading screen there...i tried restarting my device, I’ve tried restarting the game not by deleting it but nothing works and i really liked this game but now it’s just making me mad because i can’t even get in to check anything. I got in a few times by leaving the app (but it’s still open) and going to another but as soon as i went back in it opened up to my chemical miner and kicked me out instantly. I don’t know if it’s a new bug from the new update but you seriously need to fix it or else i will delete this game as it is unplayable.
Reviewer8324,
Great Game, Except
This game is really fun and engaging. There’s different kinds of mining and a crafting system to keep things interesting. There are micro transactions, but the game isn’t pay-to-win, you can make good progress without spending any money. This would be a 5 star review, except for a major bug I’ve encountered.

In order to progress in the game, you have to craft certain items. The one I’m currently working on needs 50 lamps (which also have to be crafted) as base materials, among other things. There’s a weird glitch, though. In my inventory it will show I have more than enough, like 68. But on the crafting menu, it will say I have like 18. No matter what I do, once I get to 50 lamps, the counter resets. I’ve been through this cycle about three times and am quite frustrated. I can’t move forward until this bug is corrected. Once this issue is fixed, I’ll give the game the 5 stars it deserves.
