I was skeptical for sure. Three years ago, after a bout with breast cancer, I was put on Tamoxifen and the hot flashes began immediately. They hit with ferocious intensity - searingly hot, seemingly lasting an eternity and making me drenched with sweat. When they would pass, I’d be left soaking wet, usually freezing (ironic 🤨) because of wet clothes and AC and just super annoyed and dejected. But, always in my mind was, “It’s OK, it’s better than cancer and temporary - only five years!” So, three years on, things have gotten better due to medications, bamboo sheets, fans, etc.
But then I saw an ad for Ember on FB and I was intrigued. What is this pretty little device that looks like a health tracker and says it will eliminate hot flashes 🥵?! Hmmm, can it be? thought about it for about two minutes and ordered it. Within a few hours of getting my cute little rose gold Ember 2 and putting it on, I could feel the difference. Now one week on… game changer, especially at night. It has a night sweats setting 😃!!

“Hot” and “cool”
I love my Embr Wave devices for both heating (when I am on airplanes or in chilly meeting rooms or hotels or grocery stores) and cooling (hot flashes and 8-hour sleep mode). Wave 1 was my first and I still use it when loaning out my Wave 2 to family members and friends. Wave 2 is even more powerful, more sleek, and easy to use. Both are truly remarkable in helping me to manage my comfort level when in a situation where I can’t control the environment around me. The app is very useful and easy to use as well. When I had an issue early on with programming a device from the first release of wave 2 (trying to set both buttons for cooling in different modes) I contacted the support team and they were quickly responsive and accurate in helping me fix my problem.

Always Been Hot!!
I’ve been hot all my life. I just started getting hot flashes a couple months ago and was dreading the summer. The minute I saw the commercial for Embr Wave2 I bought it and it’s been an amazing way to stop or totally diminish hot flashes. OMG I sleep through the night without waking up hot kicking covers off.
LOOOVE! Just told my friends and they’re buying one too. I was just about to start taking supplements or maybe hormones. But I love the non invasive aspect of the Wave2.

Unique Tech That Does What It Says
While I don’t personally see myself using this as it is too big to write and type with. The device itself does exactly what it is designed to do. The cooling and warmth effects are super unique and interesting. If you are a big tech person I would recommend this but if you are looking for practical use I recommend do your research first.

Rarely works as expected
Even when using the app with my home WIFI at full strength, it’s a crapshoot whether the app will work. I own the Embr 2 and it used to work intermittently; now it does not work at all. This caused a dangerous health situation for me when I went outside on a hot day in reliance upon this device working as advertising and it didn’t. I am sorely disappointed and angry that I spent so much money on a piece of junk. I hope my review will deter others from making the same mistake. Fwiw, my Embr 1 worked well. It’s ridiculous to have a device be heavily dependent on an app that doesn’t function properly!

Highly recommend
This really does work. I’m 72 and still have night sweats. Have tried patches and different remedies and nothing works . Have used it for at least 6 months. Only problem is, it’s not getting a full charge. Checking in to it to see what the problem is. Highly recommend..

This Really Works!
I’ve had a hard time sleeping during times when I it’s hot outside. This has been an ongoing problem for years and it impacts my health overall. I’ve tried special pillows, blankets, mattress pads, night clothes, etc.. Nothing helped. This device is the first that offered relief. It really works! This is not a gimmick.

Ember Wave 2
It was given to me as a Christmas gift 2022 from my children. They pooled the $300 for it. The company had to replace it in March 2023 because it warmed when it was in cooling mode.
Now constantly having app issues….can’t locate device, can’t connect to device. I’ve followed all troubleshooting instructions, Bluetooth is on, deleted/reinstalled, refreshed…..nothing. Maybe tomorrow
