Description

Fitness Stats is a delightful app that quickly aggregates your activity and workout data for insights.

Fitness Stats calculates totals and averages across any date range for the data in the Health app on your iPhone. You can easily compare these stats across two different date ranges as well. Its super simple to quickly answer questions like:
• How many steps did I walk during that fun trip to Italy?
• Did I burn enough calories during the Holidays?
• Am I working out less or more every day this year?

Key Features:
• Totals & Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Yearly Averages for every supported data type.
• Compare stats across two different date ranges side by side.
• Quickly change the dates for the stats from a custom date range to one of the many preset options like Lifetime, Last 7 days, a specific year, or a month.

Stats are calculated for the following data categories from the Health app on your iPhone:
• Activity: calories, exercise time, steps, flights.
• Moving distance: walking, hiking, running, cycling, swimming.
• Workouts: running, hiking, cycling, rowing, elliptical, HIIT, pilates, strength training.
• Mind & Body Wellness: yoga and meditation.
• Sports: tennis, basketball, soccer.
• Please reach out if you don't see any data types you want to track.

In-App Purchase:
Please note that the in-app purchase is only meant for either tipping or for customers who originally downloaded the free version of the app.

Privacy Policy:
My goal is to make great apps for you, not track you or sell your private, personal information. All Indie apps are built and designed with utmost care to be as private as possible. 1.4.0

This is a small maintenance update fixing a handful of bugs and crashes.
1.3.0
2021-12-30
Added following new stats,
• Total rowing time
• Total yoga time
• Total flights climbed
• Total hiking distance
1.2.2
2020-06-15
Implementing dates based functionality correctly is one of the hard problems in building software. This release fixes some more edge cases and a crash around changing dates.

--- Release Notes for v1.2.0 ---

This update includes the ability to change start and end dates for totals calculations. It has been one of the most frequently asked features, and rightly so, because it is so much more insightful to compare our activity data across different days, weeks, months, and years.

Also added two new data points:
• Total cycling distance from workouts
• HIIT total time

YOUR SUPPORT:
Activity Stats started as a simple project that many of us find fun and insightful, and would love to see more features. That requires a lot more time and effort. As an independent app developer, spending time on a free app is not a long-term viable option for me, so I have also added a Tip Jar that I hope you will use graciously to show your support and interest. Thank you!

v1.2.0 added the ability to change dates, but there was an issue where if selected end date was before start date, it would crash the app and make it useless. This quick release fixes that issue.

Xchaosxkittenx,
Simple but super helpful
As someone who is just at the beginning of a new health journey, it’s really cool to just have a very simple slick, well designed app to show me my overall stats. It really helps me see where I’ve made progress and where I could do better. And it has a great visual design that I can post and share without having to make graphic edits to make it look aesthetically pleasing. The only thing I wish is that it had the option to add or remove categories. There are some stats I don’t really use or care about and it’d be nice to be able to remove those so I only see and share what I care about in my progress. I think the app would be super helpful too if you’re working with a doctor or dietician to show breakdowns of your workout data.
bash_error,
Not good as I thought.
The only real i formation i wanted was daily, weekly, monthly totals. Not averages. Thats useless for me because health app already doea that. Its redundant information. There are three categories featured on app are… , various averages/lifespan of phone total (useless, only total it shows is lifespan-useless), compare (useful because it has totals, but no daily total) and settings. It shows active calories, great but it doesn’t rested calories. Thats lame, since most calories burnt is rested vs active. The categories that span in vertically, cant be organized. So you will have to scroll down every single time to look at one or two categories you truly wanna see. Lets me real about this, we got this because health app on iPhone doesn’t do totals. This sorta hits the spot but doesn’t run with it. Glad it really drives to tell you your info is protected. But that shouldn’t be the # 1 reason why we get this. We get this because we want the app to do what we want.

Used To Be A Good App
This used to be a good app. Not sure if there is a bug or what is going on, but it sayings that I have taken 6056 steps since the beginning of March. I took over 4000 steps on March 1 & just under 4000 steps on March 2 per the Apple health app. I have uninstalled and turned off and on the iWatch and phone. Also, made sure both this app & health can get data from each other. Thinking there is a bug in the system.
Aednat416,
If you want to have a paid version, you have to make sure people like the free version first
This app was kind of a background app for me. I checked it some months just out of curiosity to see how many steps I had taken that much. I was really disappointed to see that this view is no longer an option on the free version of the app.
I understand the developers passion to improve the app and keep it running, but I think you may have misjudged your audience. I was completely fine with a rudimentary date picker and regaining that function is not worth $3 for me.
Most apps have a fairly functional free version as well as an upgraded, innovative paid version. But the free version is mostly useless now. It was fun while it lasted though!
jlarosa360,
Awesome app to see Apple fitness stats
I was looking for a way to see my total walking miles by month. I could not find this ability in Apple fitness or Apple Health. My only frustration was I could not find a way to show date range by month. That was my error. If you uncheck the auto update radio button there is an option for start and end date. Awesome!
jtu3,
It works
Thanks for this. If possible, I’d love one additional feature.

I was an inveterate walker until about a year ago, when I had a foot injury resulting from a chronic condition. Just this past February, still unable to resume walking, I got an exercise bike which has taken up much of the slack.

If there was a way to change the “since date” to include only my exercise since Feb 1 (for example) my totals would be more meaningful to me. Apart from my particular issue, I can think of lots more uses for such a feature.
Reibeez,
Fantastic and simple. Exactly what it should be.
This app is supposed to be simple and clear and that’s exactly what it is. It’s visually appealing and have everything you need it to have and nothing you don’t. And it’s free, and like actually free, not just free to download. I find this info combined with the free price valuable enough to leave a tip. Hopefully more developers keep it simple, beautiful, and free in the future.
Momma to 2,
More of a new product than an update
Pros
+Kept a good amount simplicity while adding functionality. For instance, the compare button is great to see trends snapshot and even simpler than old app. But you can also easily select all kinds of other date options.
+Developer responsive to feedback including enabling family sharing and ability to pick and choose health categories to show and/or share from health app.
+Great for new users.
+ Upgrade pricing is scaled for original adopters of the free app

Cons
- For adopters of the original free app, be aware that upgrade eliminates date picker functionality unless you pay for upgrade. That was not clear to me until after upgrade so I lost functionality until family sharing situation was addressed.
N^D^E,
Great start despite limited functionality
This is the perfect starting point to addressing a huge need for *much* more advanced analysis of one’s activity. I hope you continue to expand its offerings and enable the user to create as many custom views as possible! (Otherwise we’ll all be stuck manually exporting data to Excel and doing it the old fashioned way...)
Zyoniq,
Easy UI w/ your totals - great app
This app does just what I want it to: give me totals for things like miles walked or swum, or steps taken, or calories burned.

The only thing I’d modify would be the ability to see how many [calories/steps/miles/whatever] I do per day or week. Maybe make it so I can swipe the screen left to see the averages per day, and swipe right to see averages per week?
