Love this app!!!
I get sick relatively easily and going to the doctor can be a hassle especially being a college student working multiple jobs. But it’s fear no more it no longer a hassle to speak to a doctor with this app! I can’t tell you how many times these doctors have really provided excellent medical advice for me when I’m sick or experiencing any sort of health issue. I had actually downloaded this app last year or so and throughly enjoyed the first free 6 month trial and was so sad when it ended because I couldn’t afford to subscribe at the time. But then a couple weeks ago I began having an allergic reaction to a prescription I received from an urgent care and I was really in a pinch because I didn’t know what was happening to me and really didn’t want to go to the ER. But then I remembered I still had this app and immediately subscribed and was provided with advice within a matter of a couple minutes after reaching out to them! They guided me through the necessary steps and provided excellent care for me in that situation and they always do in any situation. I always highly recommend this app to anyone and everyone and I’m highly appreciative that I even came across this app in the first place!

Great if you’re not in a rush!
I used Galileo for a non-urgent medical situation that I wanted to address before it got worse. I was hoping they would be able to help diagnose and fill my prescription at a local pharmacy without me having to brave going to an urgent care to wait hours to get in and be exposed to so many people in the pandemic. It worked and I am completely taken care of now. Full disclosure, the process took about 36 hours start to end—first time reaching out, getting a test that I needed delivered to my house which I paid for myself (so about 12 of those hours are on me because they gave me a quicker in person option), getting the prescription in and picked up. For my circumstances that worked great, but I wouldn’t recommend Galileo for situations that require immediate intervention, as they say their wait time is a couple hours which is pretty much between each reply. The practitioners I talked to were kind and responsive and I would absolutely use Galileo for similar events again.

Has gone downhill
I used Galileo in 2021 to follow up on a long-standing diagnosis of acne vulgaris and it was a great system! I quickly had a video visit with a physician who evaluated me and refilled my existing prescription that had been prescribed to me by a fantastic dermatologist (who now practices about 2 hours away from me - too far!). In 2023, I renewed my Galileo subscription to request another refill on this same topical medication. This should’ve been simple, but I had a really weird experience. First, whoever I was texting with did not introduce themselves. Then, they needed to change my case from “medication management” (aka a refill) to “acne vulgaris.” Sure, ok. Then, the person I was texting with asked for photos of my face. They had still not introduced themselves - I wondered who exactly wants a photo of my face? It was really weird. I would’ve been happy to do a video visit, but I was uncomfortable at this point. I messaged customer service asking to cancel my subscription. Then, the texting provider magically introduces themselves and insinuates that I’m confused - and tells me that a video visit isn’t how Galileo works. If she looked in my chart, she’d see that I had one two years ago. This app was good, but I can’t recommend it now, especially for the price ($90 to text with a nurse practitioner). There are better, more elegant solutions out there.

Amazing
I never write reviews. Ever. But this app is AMAZING. I struggle with depression and anxiety along with a long list of other medical issues. I just lost my insurance so I was desperate to find someone to refill my prescriptions that wouldn’t cost an arm and a leg. I was losing hope until I found this app. I was able to be seen in just 2 days over video chat and the psychiatrist I saw was PHENOMENAL. He listened to everything I had to say, thoroughly explained any questions I had, and was genuinely interested in helping me. He listened to me and I could tell he really cared. I have had bad luck with finding doctors who will actually listen to my concerns, and it was refreshing to finally feel like I was heard. My prescriptions were filled the same night as my video chat appointment. For only $9 a month, it is WELL WORTH IT. Like I said, I rarely am blown away by any apps, but this is a literal miracle for me. I am so happy I found it.

Quite possibly the worst care I’ve ever had
This is a joke. Don’t do it if you want to ever get real care. Initially i met with what seemed to be an understanding and caring physician. I went through the issues I was facing and they assured me I wouldn’t have to go and jump through tons of hoops to get my meds. Yet I jumped through every hoop asked that I could and they were never satisfied with it. I now have a lack care as I had canceled my appointment in person with a local physician. They lie and gaslight to try and force you to continue to use them by trickling out info needed or downright lying to you to get you to sign up. This place is unethical and the lack of any accountability, transparency of who you are interacting with or care of what you’ve already shared was astounding. A total and complete waste of my time and money. If you want to do tons of expensive testing for medicine you’ve been on for years with no issues and/or add a supplement that needs to be prescribed because of side effects for the OTC - be sure to sign up, that’s what they want to do. Order TONS of unnecessary and expensive testing. Without that you are dead in the water with them.

Awesome!
I saw one bad review and almost didn’t download this app. I decided to give it a try since I was in a panic about what was going on with me. It was quick and easy to set up. I didn’t like seeing at first a 3 month minimum subscription but soon after, decided I could just continue using it if something else unrelated came up. I work overnight and sleep during the day so I wasn’t sure about the wait times for conversation with a doctor, but everything the app says is true. With my experience you can still expect a response within about two hours, faster if it’s during regular Business hours it seems. Overall very happy with this app and was able to very quickly get a prescription once they were able to verify the problem I was having. Would definitely recommend and already have

I seriously love these people
This app is an incredible deal. Last time I checked it was $59 for a year, no insurance required. That is a small price to pay for having 24/7 access to actual doctors who you can consult about whatever might be bothering you. As a hypochondriac who’s also been dealing with a fair amount of health issues recently, I am constantly messaging them — and they are always exceptionally kind and thoroughly professional. They take my concerns seriously and work with me to find a solution. They are more than happy to prescribe medication if possible, which is extremely convenient since I have severe anxiety over doctors offices (and getting an appointment can be difficult and stressful). I can’t recommend Galileo enough. Thank you for dealing with me always getting anxious about my body!!!

This app gave me hope!
I recently was diagnosed with severe depression and my therapist recommended I see a clinician to begin anti-depressant medication. My insurance isn’t covered close to where I live and I began to do online research and came across Galileo. I like this app because you don’t need to telehealth any doctors to get help- you simply just login and start a quick conversation over text with their doctors. Within two hours they responded back to me and within the end of the day my prescription was ready to be picked up at Walgreens. For $9 I subscribed to Galileo, spoke with a doctor about my symptoms and did multiple test over text, got my prescription, and have a two week follow up planned. No hidden fees, no insurance needed to get help. This is what our healthcare system needs to be like and I’m so grateful for this app because now I’m getting the help I need.

Easy to use on your time
I’ve always been a fairly active participant in my healthcare. Having chronic illnesses to manage means I struggle to keep appointments that I desperately need though. Enter Galileo. I started using the service during COVID and I’ve been delighted with my care since.
In the past 2ish years I’ve had exactly one “error” where the wrong form of a medicine was sent to the pharmacy (I required capsules but it was written as tablets). The team was more than happy to correct the issue and faster than my traditional dr offices have ever been.
As of recently the wait times are getting a bit longer, but considering it’s a text message like chat, it’s not that bad. If I couldn’t wait a couple hours for a response, I really need to be in an urgent care facility anyway.

The best telehealth option out there !!!
Honestly an amazing easy to use app that’s worth every cent. College life in nyc along with the pandemic is already hectic and it’s super annoying to be in long wait doctor offices and have to call for simple things so this is an awesome change ! I tried other options telehealth options but they were 1- way too expensive and 2-didn’t have easy to use apps and just felt annoying to use. This app and service is very affordable monthly or yearly membership option and their providers are really easy to communicate with. I really love how helpful they’ve been and truly appreciate the service ! They also always send your prescriptions on time !
