Super fun and nostalgic!
This game brings me back and I love that!! The game is wonderfully fun, with plenty to do. I’ve never had to wait for energy of any of those annoying types of things.
One MAJOR issue I have with it though, is the amount of time it takes to get new cards. There are SO many awesome cards, but I only have 1 or 2 shards on several of them. It’s going to take FOREVER to get a new card. Everyone you fight at your level of the arena has the exact same cards as you. It makes the game go stale rather quickly.
Bottom line, it’s a GREAT game but if they made getting new cards just a little more obtainable, this game would have much more staying power.

I really love this game .. but
I find it very annoying and very frustrating that every person in the area is way way Higher, then my level on any given day and I want to battle other people but the system is setup to be extremely unfair and at an advantage to the other participant.
I really love this game overall and am finding myself constantly playing it when I have the time but the one HUGE 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙗𝙡𝙚𝙢 is the area matchups no matter how many times I refresh. The graphics are beautiful and well designed and the concept is very enjoyable . Please fix this issue and huge problem with the arena and this game will be 5/5 hands down! I can’t deal with that problem and constantly losing no matter how good I am as a player . Great game overall and love it immensely 🤩
Update : another thing I want to add is the energy for regular or other takes a immensely long time to recover and it’s rough when I can’t get back into the game intill like 2 days later .. ok a gross estimate but seriously why does myself or any other player have to wait so long just to play again, we should have full energy for both counts in an hour or less time. This long waiting makes me and I’m sure others lose interest because they can’t play with an appropriate amount of time between losing the energy in the first place . Fix these 2 issues and it’ll be perfect at least to me but these issues seriously need to be addressed . Thanks :)

Been done before...
Game has nostalgia. Seeing old characters from the past is fun again. The game is easy to play , and has the 3x speed and auto for matches. Has a few different types of game play like arena , and so far 3 different campaigns. Other than that the game is just the same old hero type game.
The negatives are , I wish you could collect the cards but in the fights they were actually out of the cards fighting. Playing with a bunch of cards tapping the enemy cards in a static background is very boring looking. The game is super basic and will get old fast. You get on but get to a certain point pretty quickly and can’t progress , then just play to farm for levels or pieces of gear. So on day 2 of playing im already stuck and just auto ticketing to get gear to become strong enough. That’s basically it. No events or really any excitement for me to keep getting back on. Maybe down the road more updates will make it better but games like Looneytoons and Clone evolution are a lot better right now.

Really wanted to like it but.....
First of all I’m a huge GPK fan. I was eagerly awaiting this game for over a year. It’s fun at first. You level quickly. But after a point there is a huge gold bottleneck. I play several times daily, do all the missions etc but after a week or so and after buying gold with gems I have enough to make one character max starred or power up a few. So as it stands I’ve got about 7 toons I can’t level and no one beyond 60 power even though I’m level 70. The thing is: it doesn’t matter either. The game is soooo basic nothing is going on. No teams. No guilds. No need for maxed out toons. With minimal stars and power I crushed the whole game and collected every toon. So what now? I guess spend more time on one of the many other games just like this one that have so much more going on.

Addictive and very fun to play but....
I have been playing this game for about three weeks now and I have all of my cards leveled up to 31. Here’s the thing, sometimes the battles just freeze up and app closes, it’s impossible to level up your characters abilities after the first time because you can’t find the gears... you can only get so far without leveling them up, and you can forget entering into any event too. Energy runs out quickly and you have to reach certain levels to play different stages in the calamity club. Also, you can’t really unlock characters or tier them up without spending your gems, or tokens, or real money. With that being said, I know it’s new and there’s probably still some bugs, but I hope it gets better soon because I do enjoy playing and want to see more of this game

Fun bit of nostalgia
I have to admit that I was a young lad when The Cabbage Patch Kids were all the craze. I remember collecting and trading these irreverent little cards that poked fun at the CPK. I’m glad that kids still like things that are gross and slimy and maybe have a parent or grandparent that can share a lit bit about the 80s. I like the music and voice overs. It’s something that I can play in short bursts when I’m on break at work. It does crash quite often on my IOS mobile devices. Not a problem for me as I don’t want to waste hours playing this game. It saves my progress each time so I can pickup where I left off. Just something to consider.

I really want to like this game. But like many others, I have had a ton of issues. After sounding like $100 for upgrades and coins, ect., I have had the game completely delete my account. Which took many emails and days to fix. Then had the game charge me 1,000 jewels for an upgrade and then freeze. Didn’t give me the upgrade but charged me.
Then I spent about 3 1/2 million coins. And got a message saying that the rewards were having “issues” and expected to be repaired within a few days. Did I ever receive my rewards? Nope. This is absolutely unacceptable for a game charging you money. Small dev team or not, if they can’t get their act together, Topps needs to revoke the license. Because this damages their brand.

Awesome game! Couple things though.
Really disappointed. I made it totally through the worm hole finally. I thought I would be sent to the next level through the hole itself, but it just let me know that was it I completed the one level. You should be able to go through the worm hole to a whole new level if you get that far. Also. I feel there should be more to do. Maybe a side game to continue playing. Too much time lapses between being Able to play. In addition the game keeps kicking me out. PLEASE, fix the bugs!! Thank you for listening. Hope to see more good things.

Great for a few days ...
If you want a quick dive into nostalgia then this game is a great diversion ... for a few days. Once you level up to around 35, the game grinds to a halt and you must spend to keep progressing. I wouldn’t have a problem with this if there was a reason to keep going, but at the higher levels it all stagnates. The arena is a buggy mess, and it is false advertising to say the it has a PvP component. It does not. The scoring is skewed to those in the PST time zone as well. Want a shot at first place? You’ll need to stay up till 3am EST for that lol.
Overall, a neat diversion for a weekend. Hopefully, they’ll work on improving the game for those that are willing to spend and stick around. I’ll update my review if that ever happens.

Edit- this app is in violation of apples guideline policies. The app sells items in its store that you need gems (in game currency) to purchase. Those items are not a set amount but are chance purchases. Where they are failing to adhere to the policies is that they provide none whatsoever odds and percentages of what you may acquire when purchasing. It has even been brought to jagos attention by the community of players on their forum. Without any response if they will fix that violation.
This app is a complete rip off from another app. Jago studios constantly complains that they’re a small team as an excuse for not fixing simple things that have been broken or missing since the start. Jago has made it plainly clear they can not handle the GPK app. So I suggest that Topps and GPK company move in and remove Jago studios from the GPK brand name all together.
