The GeoBallistics mobile app is powered by the BallisticsARC (Ballistics, Atmospherics, and Range Card) solver, and combines the functionality of a ballistics calculator, an atmospheric device, and a GPS rangefinder into one application.
The BallisticsARC solver is an advanced 3 DOF solver with provisions for MV vs Temp, Coriolis, spin drift, crosswind jump, moving targets, multiple targets with unique azimuths and angles and much more.
GeoBallistics includes 4 modes: HUD Mode, Chart Mode, Map Mode, and Comp Mode. All modes are accessible with 1 custom rifle. In order to add additional rifles and save/export range cards, use Kestrel devices, or backup data online, you must upgrade to the Pro version for a one-time fee.
HUD Mode puts everything you need on one screen for a single target. This is also where the new moving target feature and max ordinate display is located.
Chart Mode is a traditional calculator that allows for a complete solution. Solutions include considerations for gyroscopic drift, Coriolis effect, wind influence, shot angle, atmospheric conditions, and more. Chart Mode also allows FREE integration of the WeatherFlow products.
Map Mode allows users to range targets by dropping pins on satellite imagery of a shooting location. Range and solution are displayed by tapping on the target pins. Map Mode also introduces external ballistic data overlays on satellite imagery. These overlays display a bullet's performance along it's path according to parameters specified for each rifle profile. It is our hope that this will assist the hunter with creating safe and ethical shots in the field as well as assisting competitive shooters with markers such as trans-sonic break over point.
Comp Mode allows the user to enter a course of fire with multiple targets with unique variables such as shot angle and shot azimuth. This is inspired by top PRS shooters and will continue to evolve beyond this first offering. Now features the Holdover Data Zero setting (HDZ) calculator. This is a first-in-class feature that allows you to easily set an optimal zero for holdover stages.

Would be 5 stars just needs a tweak
Went and shot a match and was way off due to user error and app incompatibility with apple dark mode while imputing info for a new ammo I did not see I didn’t select moa due to the app making it basically impossible to see what one you selected if you have your phone in dark mode and after the match looking at the table I noticed it said mils not the usual moa. I went back to the ammo edit and then realized I could still not tell what I selected until I turned my dark mode off then you can clearly see what one you selected. If that could be fixed it would be 5star all the way

All of the problems on this app were induced by me. They were great about calling back, stepped me through resolving my input errors. App works great. Because of the “new to me” features there was a bit of a learning curve even even migrating from other ballistics solvers. This does much more than other free or pay apps I have used. Map feature for measurements have been within expected errors when checked by ground GPS and laser range. Outputs are near duplicates of Applied Ballistics on standard drag models using same input weather data (AB app, Kestrel, Garmin 701).
Best “new to me” feature: Map feature of Red marking visually obscured “behind terrain” target works for planning outdoor long distance and is not something I has seen on other ballistic solvers for ELR.

Update to original review
When I first installed this app I liked it and purchased the pro version and discovered a bug that the developer knew about and asked for my money back. The bug in iPhones (at least with mine) is if you have your iPhone in Black Mode then there are several grayed out variables/inputs that are critical and they are not selectable.
The developer quickly informed me that there was a bug and to change to Light Mode on my iPhone which worked. Simple work around.
Since now that I have used it at the Range it was dead on at 600 yards (the max range of the Gun range) with a 17 mph crosswind. I would recommend using it. Now I just need to buy a Kestrel.

Great potential
Bought the Razor 4000 GB over a sig as I’m sick of the AB tax. So far I like the combo, but there are a few things I’d like to see to get the 5th star.
-Day/night color modes - must have for low light and anyone doing night time hunting.
-Apple Watch app, really nice to have my dope card on my wrist and have seen someone with it mounted on their rifle. The whole industry has under capitalized on wearables, so much more practical than a phone.

Pretty good!
I was using iSnipe but the weather app part went down… then I turned to this… it’s pretty good! I like the online sync feature and their app is pretty easy to use. The one thing I don’t like is that you can’t use the exact location for weather data. You either have to buy their Bluetooth kestrel and use it in conjunction with or manually input it. If they added a button that allowed for immediate data download and not from the “nearest” airport that would be nice.

Awesome app!
I have been using this app for a long time and must say that it works great. I do not do a whole bunch of long range shooting. I mostly use the app for hunting, but I did use this app to qualify like a pro with my 300WSM on the 600yd range at my shooting club! Love the map feature and customer service, don’t see how anyone could give this app anything other than a 5 star!

Needs new map
I gave 5 stars because the app works and is accurate ,but the locations where I use this app are not up to date …meaning I have to guess where I put my target based on ridges alone nothing visually there to justify where I put the pin because only tree tops are visible.

Have been looking for a good solver for quite a while. Have found several that are good. This one is excellent. Love the layout and functionality. Also love the ability to calculate dope cards based on density altitude. Appears to be very accurate and the ability to plot targets on a map and then generate range cards from that plot is awesome. Great app for Long Distance Shooting
I first learned of this app when I attended a course in Utah. Once I learned of the functionality and ease of navigation within the app, it quickly became my go to source for this discipline. I am a firearms instructor as well and recommend it to all my students.
