So many pharmacies seem to have numb employees that don’t have any compassion for you or how you feel ie; sick, in pain or whatver symptoms that ail you, could even be your insurance (ugh)…THIS GIANT PHARMACY IS A MUST IF…you’re looking for a pharmacy that truly CARES, willing to put YOUR BEST INTEREST FIRST and show it with staff that make you feel welcome and that you do matter, regardless of what you are dealing with. The concern, efficiency, knowledge and communication is top notch.

Biggest problem - ability to archive/hide expired scripts. I have several “expired” scripts which remain in my “ready to refill” section. I understand you need to retain the information, but they don’t need to remain in an active scripts section. What would help this tremendously is rather than creating a new prescription number each time a doctor authorizes more refills is to add the refills to the existing prescription. I’m on a few maintenance meds and they all have several expired scripts in the “ready to refill” section. This also causes duplicate prescriptions to be filled if a doctor authorizes refills during a visit and the current script isn’t depleted. I have one right now. I could request a refill from both the old and new script without question. What if this is happens with an opioid or barbiturate script? The person would have double the amount intended. That’s just a lawsuit waiting to happen.

I will maybe update this review in the future with my actual star rating of the app itself.

But my local Giant Pharmacy is the most amazing thing ever. i’ve never experienced such a level of personal care and professionalism from a pharmacy. I know this has nothing to do with the app but in my mind that makes me want to give this five stars until I feel like articulating what I feel could be improved about the app, which is a good bit.

Functionally it works well. Prescriptions show up very quickly in the app after my doctor sends them. Although the interface and organization is often very confusing, and it is difficult to determine which ones are new, and which are old. Often prescriptions that have just been sent and will appear at the very bottom of the “filled prescriptions” section. I get a lot of prescriptions every month, so it’s especially chaotic for me. Submitting refill requests is seamless and I have yet to have an issue with the pharmacy not receiving it.

Anyway, thank you to my local Giant Pharmacy and its wonderful staff. They go above and beyond every time. I love you guys ❤️

I’ve been a long time (20+ years) customer of cvs and recently changed from very good employer benefits to Medicare only to find out that cvs is not the even close to the best pricing. I’ve never even considered a grocery store pharmacy before yet found their prices way more competitive when my insurance fails me. Kudos to giant! The app has been easy to get used to & I’m am in the process of transferring all of my meds to giant (which is considerable due to a complex genetic disease). This has been a well researched decision on my part.

I love the ability to scan my current prescriptions, when it’s time to renew. The pharmacy always has them ready on time and there is never any issues. It’s also nice to have all the medications and doses available to look at, when going to a doctors office, when they ask for your list of current medications. I just open up the app and all the information is available. I definitely recommend this app for the convenience factor.

What could be easier than an app that let’s you choose how to order your refill (scan label or type Rx number) and select default locations or choose new ones, plus select one-time refill order or auto-refill? Answer is nothing, and with Giant the pharmacy also checks to be sure your request aligns to your insurance company offerings. We’ll done, Giant!

Generally, I like the app. BUT, and it’s a big but, there’s no option to archive or separate expired or one-time meds. It’s been brought up multiple times before but apparently Giant doesn’t read these reviews. Meanwhile I have a number of prescriptions that show as ready to refill even though they expired or have no refills remaining. Since there are several years of prescriptions showing I have some meds that are listed multiple times. C’mon man, it’s 2023. Every other pharmacy app has an archive option. Get your programmers working in this.

Not too fancy, nothing that will blow your socks off, but it works. Not over engineered like everything else. It’s a mirror image of the Giant pharmacy. They are solid, attentive and very friendly. The f you’re tired of the CVS’s and Walgreens of the world switch over you won’t regret it. So glad I did. One less thing to be stressed out about it. It just works....and that’s just fine with me.

Great, would like to pick up all prescriptions on the 3rd of February, im on Social Security and that’s when I can afford to pick up prescription prescriptions. This calendar only allows to the 2nd of February, So if we can do that with both prescriptions I have in process. Please hold until the 3rd of February.. Then I will have to change great to FANTASTIC! ..Thank you for your time.

Much happier using the giant pharmacy, compared to CVS. I was on vacation and needed one medication transferred to a different CVS. Instead of transferring just the one medication they transferred several. What a nightmare to get them back to the original location. I was also amazed how the giant pharmacy would have medication more consistently then a national pharmaceutical company.
