Review that really sticks
===
Academic research has found that memories are formed by repeated exposure to new information, so Magoosh’s flashcard app uses a spaced repetition system. Concepts you are learning will reappear frequently (occurring less frequently the better you know them) and concepts you already know won’t be repeated. The GMAT list is also culled to only 425 so that you don't waste time learning unimportant words.

“I really like the way the words appear and the simple interface to show progress of the user. You guys have put good use of algorithms so one comes out learning the words well. The best flashcard app to date.” - Arif

"I was able to learn more words in the 4th week by using your flash card app than I learnt over the previous 3 weeks using Barron's 1100." - Sai

MelodyMuse7,
First helpful thing so far
I did very well in math when I was in high school (over ten years ago). When I have done practice problems for the GMAT, I have become increasingly frustrated and intimidated by math that I recall knowing very well (about 80-90% remember) and getting the problem wrong because I couldn't remember the definition and function of it. I didn't know where to start so I went through a number of different tools to get back on the horse. These flash cards are the first no ruffles way I've found that works to help me recall these math terms and formulas, the important thing I need to know about them, and something so portable I can do a few quick problems while on the train or heading to a meeting. Definitely recommend, a great tool.
FitTiffMJ,
Glad I looked at these
I am someone who graduated college with a Masters 20 years ago. Needless to say I am out of practice on math. After listening to lessons and working practice problems I still don’t seem to be improving in my practice. So, I took a break from lessons and looked at the flash cards and it turned out they were a great supplement to the videos in helping reinforce the math principals. I am actually retaining information and helps me feel like all my time studying is working. Hopefully with continued video lessons, using the Flashcards and working practice problems, come test day I will be confident and ready for the GRE and get the score I need to further my education.

Great app! Definitely recommend
Living in NYC, I used these a lot when I was on the subway or bus, walking to-and-from work, etc. For me, I also bought Magoosh Premium acct so the videos online were great for learning the tough concepts but reviewing basic math through the app def helped me to be quicker on the real test, saving time for harder questions.

Altogether, this app, the Magoosh idiom app (highly highly recommend you check that out too!), and the premium acct helped me to get a 720 on the first try-definitely recommend!!
.....me....me....me,
Helpful
Magoosh has just been helpful all around. I used it when I prepped for the GRE five years ago, and it was my first choice when I decided to prep again for next year. It’s the only one I recommend when other people ask for suggestions for study materials. Math is my weak point. I’ve been using the flashcards in combination with the 6-month study plan. I’ll often do the flashcards in bed before I go to sleep. It’s helping to solidify the understandings I’m getting from my official study times.

Magoosh is for those of us who slacked in gradschool and coasted when we knew we could have excelled. Those who reached the level of the standardized test and realized that cramming was not enough.

Whether it's for the GRE or the GMAT, Magoosh is the simplest and easiest way to develop and hone the skills and thinking you need to reach your top school and the accomplishment you KNEW you were capable of.

Magoosh gives lessons which are in both video and text transcript. Magoosh also offers thousands of questions which are very similar to what you can expect on the exam.

Each question has video and text transcript explanations so you're never left scratching your head.

Magoosh also estimates your score and measures your time against the average student for each question.

I have not studied math that is needed for the GRE since high school. This app as well as the entire Magoosh website has been a life saver! The app is easy to understand and use and is very helpful for learning all of the little rules that I have forgotten since high school. I use the app every time I have some down time and the repetition of the flash cards is really what helps me to memorize everything. Thank you Magoosh!

Adaptive memory recall
I love that this app reinforces which words you’re still learning by changing up the order of the definitions for each word and by showing you the word a specified amount of time to ensure you’ve really learned it. It’s interactive nature feels personalized to my needs and makes learning fun! (ESP when you’re “forced” to study for a standardized test you don’t look forward to taking)
Паюпер,
Wow, excellent!
These flashcards are super helpful and have formed the backbone of my preparation for the GRE. The questions are not given in the form of GRE questions but they teach you things that are immediately applicable to GRE. I am so glad that this app is free and gives you access to all the content.
Also, this app works without the internet which is huge for someone studying while abroad. Thank you Magoosh. You’re the best.
JLGibson,
Not just another Prep app
Undoubtedly you have come across this application in an attempt to assuage your angst over an impending exam. Will this product prove the anodyne to your encroaching doom?
No, but Magoosh does offer a product that comes without side hustles and a diversity of math concepts. While the program does not teach anything the repetition of flash cards will resurrect those forgotten bits of high school math you have forgotten over the years.
Bballsavant,
Flash cards app is awesome
If you need to brush up on some old concepts (or learn) when you're on the go or lying in bed this is the perfect app. There's nothing else out there like it that I've seen in the App Store. They're definitely a great supplement to doing practice problems since the only other way I relearn these concepts I've forgotten is doing practice problems and getting them wrong.
