Love it, but…
I fell in love with this game from the first day I played. I have spent a few dollars on it, because I don’t mind giving back when I have been given so much free entertainment. But I find myself, almost a year later, wondering, isn’t there anything more to achieve than the first day I played? I mean, I’m nearing the end of what they have created in the Main Mines, and the Events are the same week after week. Isn’t there anything more to achieve? The Goblin Dudes get to around the same levels with every Main Mine, and you get a teaser of what they could be in the Events…but I personally have never gotten past Level 26 or 27 in an Event, and don’t get past the hard hats in the Mains, basically because there’s not enough time. Why not let the Mains go on…past 3 or 4 parts? Then we can get our Dudes to the Spacesuits and maybe beyond, if there is a beyond? Because I don’t know about anyone else, but I have given all the dollars I’m going to, to a game that goes no further. Tempt me, tease me! Isn’t that what we all want…?

The nerve of some people to make not just one ad, but multiple ads over 30 seconds. Advertising the same thing over and over isn't really a good selling point and quite frankly it makes the player want to download the game much less. When presented with a goal of getting to the end of not only a 45 second ad, but an entire minute advertisement and then having to wait *15 additional seconds* and doing nothing. Is this really supposed to make someone download the game?
My main critique of the game is that at the surface, it appears to be just another idle game. However, offline idle games with no comp tend to be just a wee bit worse than online idle games. I'm glad to see this game move in another right direction.
Anyway, no critique to the actual game, but the ads are horrendous. Mobile games are usually much worse so credit is due there. None of this is actually meant to be said about the game, but I oly downloaded it to complain about the strange advertisements. At least it isn't Evertale-level of ads. Actually, it's still false advertising as far as the beginning of the game goes. The whole concept of it being an idle game but a player controlling footage in the (did I mention multiple yet?) ads is already incorrect. I hope this review helps

Great time waster
I noticed lots of reviews saying it’s a pointless game, and they’re right, but it’s still amusing and well-designed. My favorite part is that YOU DON’T HAVE TO WATCH ADS OR FEEL LIKE YOU NEED TO SPEND MONEY!!
That’s so refreshing these days. Sure, if you want to progress faster, watch some ads, but since the game is basically pointless anyway, I only watch them during the events. And hey, if you want to give the devs a few bucks every now and again during the events, you can place higher and get more rewards, which will help you go faster in the day-to-day levels. But again, there’s really no need to rush through the levels, it’s not like you win some weekend getaway for two to the Bahamas or something.
It’s just mindless entertainment when you don’t really want to think too much. And, it’s funny watching the goblins do their thing. Totally mindless fun when you’ve had an exhausting day, are tired of watching equally-mindless TV, but still want to be a couch potato for a bit.

Deceptive Practices Hurt Players
As others have noted, the gameplay is not as advertised as it is a top down idle game with very different graphics than shown in ads. That being said, I still found it to be a fun game to kill time periodically. The reason for the low star is the deliberately deceptive game mechanic surrounding in-game events. The event leaderboard is intentionally vague so you do not know how many points other players have. If you secure a top three spot (which is only possible by spending actual money for most events), you will have no way of knowing if the person behind you is closing in or if you have a reasonable chance at securing the top spot. This results in increased spending to maintain positions that may not even be necessary or to try to secure positions that would actually require significant spending ($100+ easily) to “catch up.” You also have no way of knowing if you are up against actual players versus bots created to drive spending. Efforts to find out more specific information on the leaderboard dynamic lead to evasive answers. Support has taken the position that providing specific information on the leaderboard is somehow “unfair” to players. Incredibly scammy practices.

False Advertising at its Finest
The adds make it look like fun, you control the action with a little touchscreen joystick and move your goblin(s) all around, hacking at ores, running over and collecting the rewards that stack beautifully on your back, then depositing them into your buildings for more goblins and better upgrades. Everything from the graphics, animations, camera angle, and promise the ad delivers is missing from the actual game. In reality it is a flat, two dimensional, tap-tap game where you do nothing but tap the screen as the goblins slowly, gruelingly, hack away at ores then stand there idly waiting to be dragged over to the next ore while you tap on the gold pieces. There is no puzzles where you mines through numbered blocks to collect pickaxes to increase your own pickaxe strength, no great big bulldozers you can control and rip through different ores and gems then collect them in the trunk, none of it. Plain and simple, false advertising for a bland and boring game with maybe 10% of the same art assets used in the fake ads. Despicable. Gonna be contacting the USFTC and opening a claim because I’ve had it with these money grubbing mobile games falsely advertising their weak products.

Might be worth your full purchase
I’ve been playing this game off and on for the last few months and as of late it’s becoming one of the only things I play and as far as idle games go, or what genre you call this, this game is one of the best. I really like that when you feel the main Mines start to feel hard to progress, BOOM, there’s an event mine! I enjoy the event mines weaved in the middle of playing the main one.
I was using a strategy with the ads and bonus spins but I finally broke down and bought the full game(no ads) and unlike many other games, this one actually removes EVERY SINGLE AD! I even had to ask support before purchasing because I’ve refunded a handful of games that promised ‘ad-free’ and they still had lots of ads but this game is honest and in my opinion, worth it. :)
Hoping for more varied content in the future! Whether it be additional mines or item-types, or event types, etc.

Needs a little more
Fun idle game. Almost too idle. Needs more stuff for when you’re actually in the app. Money only buys time or random chance upgrades. Would be nice to use gems for something like dynamite packs, or goblin upgrades. Speaking of upgrades, goblins merge but there’s not much else to them. You can upgrade a card to strengthen them but that’s it. How about something for speeding up mining for a short time, or allowing them to move forward after finishing a rock for a limited number of spaces?
Idle goblins are also useless. With the bottle necks of some levels, having too many goblins of different levels is such a waste. It would be cool to be able to put them working towards a mine to speed it up, or sell them off for gold or elixirs. Last thing, coming back after an extended period of time and having a lot of stuff to pick up can be overwhelming to my pea brain. A button to “pick up all” would be nice.
Game is fun, easy to get into, easy to open up and then close for a few hours. It’s an idle game.

Takes Time and Frustrating Special Events
I downloaded this game about three weeks ago. After laying a few days, my husband decided to download on his phone. When we play the regular mine shafts, it is fun. Just hard to get high amounts of elixir - which you should be able to get more quantity the harder the location, but you don’t. Otherwise, it is fun.
Now, my husband and I have played two of the side events to try and get more stuff to help. The first one we played more like the mineshaft, and we got maybe 3/4 of the way though. We just thought that maybe we didn’t do something right. This second even, we have been playing non-stop for the full days. I even left my screen on over night in hopes of collecting items. We have played and clicked non-stop since the beginning. My husband might reach the last keys in time. I can’t even reach them.
We don’t use money to play apps and games. I feel as though that is the only way to play the events, and you need the events to get through the basic mine easier.

False advertising
What you actually do in this “game” is obviously ok because I’ve had it installed and I “play” it regularly. It is a time waster and a cute one at that. However, ALL YOU DO is buy/merge goblins to whack away at rocks that get higher in toughness so it takes longer to break them so you merge your goblin to upgrade them. Their is NO manual control where you drive a rig that chops up various rocks to where you “upgrade” your rig and/or home base. That is NOT in this game anywhere and was the main reason I downloaded the game. When the developer responds with their “it’s an idea for the future”….yeah? What future because this game has been nothing but NOT what you advertise for almost a year. It’s a gameplay feature that has never existed in the game, it was animated to ONLY get you to download and make IAP. I’m a gamer from the days of DOS and boot disks. Deceptive things like this used to get game companies sued in court. What’s in the game is alright, what’s in the game is NOT ANYTHING that it’s advertised to be.

Fantastic Game to Play!
I’ll admit I was skeptical of this game at first. Most games let you get so far and then it’s impossible to progress without spending money. Not this game. You can go as far as you want. Does it offer you items to spend money on? Yes. But the beauty part is you don’t have to. There is only one purchase I would recommend with this game. It’s the $15 dollar purchase that makes the game completely ad free. You get all the benefits that you would with watching an ad but without having to watch it! Best idea from the developers.
The only thing I would recommend to the developers is lowering the price of goblins. It’s sometimes difficult to upgrade them when your on level 5 to buy them and your highest ones are on 10. If that makes sense lol. Other than that I love this game. It has become my new go to!
