Description

* All in one lossless music player: FLAC+APE+WAV+WavPack+AIFF+ALAC
* Designed for audiophiles

Golden Ear is a lossless music player. It supports all common lossless audio formats, including FLAC, APE, WAV, WavPack,AIFF, ALAC. It also recognizes accompanying CUE files, and lists individual tracks so you can pick up your favorite one very easily. You just need to make sure CUE file shares same file name with the music file. Similarly, to display the cover art, you just provide the image file with same name. Golden Ear recognizes embedded cover art and CUESHEET comment tag inside flac files.

Music files can be grouped either by artists or by albums. You can also show all files in one single playlist, or only files in a chosen folder.

Golden Ear provides a straight forward control interface. You can use three playback modes: 1) Continuing in order; 2) Shuffle; 3) Loop one track/song.

Just put your collection onto your device via iTunes file sharing, then you can start listening to high quality audio everywhere you go.

Eudamon ,
Great flac player but.....
Really needs to support adding files through file app. No one really plugs in devices anymore ;) and CarPlay support
Oleg Kh,
Supports cue files, very battery friendly
Plays all lossless formats, can play 24bit files, supports cue files. Sound quality is just stellar.
Very important to me - very battery friendly, does not drain battery much.
Arveedub,
No gapless playback, no support
There are short pauses between each track despite the description specifically stating that playback is seamless. As anyone else that listens to FLAC files, I am looking for as close to perfect playback as possible & this app is useless for that. I sent an email to the developer's support link, but have received no reply. Charging what they do for the app yet delivering one that does not perform as advertised is inexcusable.
LonneyTune,
Need a way to play sequentially in album folder
Need a way to play sequentially in album folder without adding files to queue.
Play fro here function is only available inside queue. This is a pain.
James Sumners,
Fantastic app for the audiophile
Only docking the one star because I wish it supported CarPlay. Other than that, it does what it should: play FLACs.
swnewyork,
Great program...
Been a long time user of Golden Ear...
Was hoping you would, at some point, provide an equalizer function... similar to foobar2000.

Thx for a great program.

Sent from my iPhone
Flattpicker,
EQ
Love this app, but they need to add a EQ.
sterryghsam,
nice player
It would be better if there is a faceid or a passwd lock~o(〃'▽'〃)o
A6❌,
dsf文件不能播放
can't play .dsf files,thank you!
Yestify,
Great!
This is the only audiophile app I've tried that is worth having on the ipad. The interface is simple, fairly attractive, and makes managing files easy. Files can be transferred either wirelessly or through iTunes with a usb cable; transferring wirelessly is preferred as it will allow you to keep folders and the whole file structure intact. Doesn't have a huge number of extra features that you will never use, and it does what it advertises to do---play music--- exceptionally well unlike many of the feature rich apps. There is no equalizer, but who cares?

I've used a few other "audiophile" apps, and I like Goldenear the most. Flac player is nice, but is only able to play FLAC, which makes it unusable for me. Caprico has the worst interface I've ever seen, is prone to crashing, and the volume does not get loud enough. Tuneshell is made for the iPhone and not the iPad. Equalizer pro is no longer in development.

Caprico does handle album art better but that is a minor point.
