Great game, some things could be improved
This game is actually really fun. The gameplay is fun and fast paced. The controls are easy to learn and I strongly recommend the touch controls. The game is very well put together and the interface is great. However, something’s could be added or changed.
I think there should be some instruction on faceoffs and fighting as those are not in the tutorial. I also think there should be a guide taking us through season mode as some things are confusing and you have to figure it out. Something else that needs to be changed is penalties, specifically tripping. Sometimes I will be skating down the ice and a random tripping call will be happen. I think that tripping should only be allowed to happen from stick checks. Also, there is just too much fighting and therefore 4v4’s, unlike real life.
Overall Ice League Hockey is a very good game and I look forward to what they bring in the future. Thank you.

Missed the mark
I’ve played the game for a little while and this is an unbiased review. The game is good but there is so much missing. The game is super zoomed in and when you zoom out it’s like too zoomed out it’s hard to find a comfortable spot. Also I started a manager mode and I couldn’t draft any players the first year cause i had no coins? how do you set up a manager mode but not allow me to do the most fun part. In addition the controls are just funky. To power shoot you have to hold and drag. Seems simple on paper but when you hold and drag you have to put your finger down in order to drag (obviously) and every time you do that it shoots. Also it’s wayyy to easy to check players so bodies are just flying everywhere every time you are on defense even in the harder settings. All in all the game is fun if you like fast paced sports games you’ll like this. If you played their other game like Hoop League you might find this a change of pace in a positive or negative way. Either way I think the plan was their but it missed the mark. I would like to see a different game maybe soccer in the future from this developer.

Not that entertaining
It’s fun when you actually get to play. I enjoy career mode as I like having some goal to accomplish rather then just doing a quick play game however, no matter how good you are you’re out for like 3/4 of every single game. You essentially get to watch the ai play itself. Not fun at all! Sometimes the puck gets stuck almost vibrating on the stick of the affected player while the game just runs through all the time with essentially nothing happening and unable to play and fix it manually since you’re out.( it will sometimes do a face off but not always) Others have mentioned difficulty but honestly just head straight to the goal and pray(I’m on rookie though). I can usually get 1-2 goals a game even with the short play time. Not currently worth buying premium, as I’m not sure it will fix the issue with being out for long periods. Thank god for the fast forward button or I would’ve deleted the game within 15min. Maybe a sim until you play button rather then a fast forward one would make things better?

Great Game!
If you like hockey and creative team management then try this game out. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is there’s not much going on during the season, which makes playing game after game pretty repetitive. It would be cool if teams came to you with trade offers, or if there were other decisions to be made between games. It would also be cool if there was some off-ice things your players could do like charity organizations or something.
Another suggestion is to be able to control your AI players play styles. Sometimes you want them to forecheck or back check better but they always do the same thing.

Amazing Hockey Game
The game had a bit of a touchy start, with semi unresponsive controls and it was hard to understand. After playing for a while the controls got easier, and now with a better tutorial and better controls, the game feels great. It definitely requires strategy during actual gameplay, don’t expect to hop in the game and start scoring easy goals on all difficulties. Also with premium there’s a plethora of things you can do with your league, practically anything you can think of, you can control and insert into your own league. Also, if you’re a fan of retro bowl, this feels like it but with more control over gameplay, you get to play on defense, and much more customization options for your team. Not to mention an actual trade system that feels real. Amazing game, can’t wait to see more!

One of the best games I’ve ever downloaded
A lot of great aspects to this game. The team building from season to season. The draft and free agency process. Setting the years and dollar value of contracts for players. The ability to dictate the number of games in a season and salary cap amount. Once you get familiar with the controls and challenging difficulty levels, the gameplay is engaging. I’ve been playing this for a year and still enjoy it a lot.
I do have a few suggestions for improvement, most of which revolve around the AI.
- too often the CPU teams mismanage their cap space by making unrealistic signings, which limits their roster and dilutes the competition
- sometimes it’s too easy to fleece the CPU in a trade (3.5 star player for the #1 overall pick?)
- contract extensions for your own players before their current contract expires
In general, the AI is good enough. I really enjoy playing this game on a daily basis. But it could be better. In some respects, the shortcomings of the AI allow the game fall into the “too easy to manipulate and dominate” range. But with a bit more improvement, the AI could make the game just challenging enough to make it realistic and take it from its already great level to even higher levels.

Great game concept (could be used for soccer game)
Overall the game is fairly good. I think the touch controls are a little iffy, I personally find the button controls to be a lot more comfortable. I think the amount of customization you can have once you unlock the premium option is great, similar to that of hoop league. I love being able to customize my own league and build different teams and players. I personally am not that even big of hockey fan but this game made me enjoy it. The overall concept of this game would work great with futbol (soccer) game. Could use a similar format but of course tweak it to were it matches that of a futbol game. Plus you would be targeting a bigger audience. We’ll just an idea. Keep up the good work!

First stared playing Hoop League cause I like basketball, and got bored one day and found this gem by the same creators. I’m not much of a hockey guy myself, but I was pleasantly surprised by how entertaining this game is. Taking control of a team and rebuilding is really fun, and is my favorite part.
A question I have is, can I use pictures from my gallery for team logos, and if I can’t, that would be a really fun feature I think. I think it would also be cool if you could take control of 1 specific player, either created by the user, or already existing, and have them level up a different way, like having set goals per games, such as 2 assists or 5 body checks or something like that.

Great game
This game is good with solid fast paced arcade style gameplay and 90s style graphics and lots of customization. Though there are some things that I would like to see added in the future like more customization options for players such as beards hair accessories similar to that of hoop league tactics and the ability to change things about the arena like seats and stairs. Also the option to have a outdoor or winter classic game would be really cool. Overall ice league hockey is the best mobile hockey game and I can’t wait to see what comes in the future.

Wish for some updates
I wish there were some updates to this game. Overall I really enjoy the gameplay but far too often my players, when they go to shoot, are facing the other direction and the shot will go backwards. This shouldn’t even be possible. Given the limitations of essentially two controls—skating with one hand, and shooting/passing with the other—too often I’m trying to skate into a position to shoot and when I do the app thinks I’m trying to shoot backwards. Please, please fix this! It’s the one issue that keeps me from giving this five stars and playing it more often! It’s really a fun game.
