Great! But needs a repeat function
I use this in conjunction with Duolingo (plus Tinycards) and Babel. This app is great for learning phrases, the basics, and listening to a native speaker, while to others help reinforce and introduce basic vocabulary like food, animals, common adjectives, and pronunciation. I find this the perfect for learning French for a trip to Paris. I find the accent particularly easy to understand and pleasant. I, like other users, wish there was a repeat feature for listening and practicing in the car or while falling asleep at night. It's annoying having to wake my phone up after a short lesson to start it over. A constant loop of a single lesson or the ability to play through all lessons would make this the perfect app!! Navigation through the app is fairly simple. You start with lessons 1-8 for free, you download 9-24 (also for free after you have been through the first eight). I have not made additional in-app purchases.

Great app, despite minor bugs
So the app is great! Amazing! The only issues I have is when I scroll up to look at previous words while paused, it automatically scrolls me down to the word selected.
Things I would love to see. (Developers only)
- A button which allows you to stay on a single word so you can practice over and over
- a button which resets the list so you can practice again and again without having to go back up and select a word from the same list so you can begin again.
- a Quiz section, which works like notecards, allowing you to see he french sentence and when you flip it over it gives you the English translation.
This app is amazing, and has helped me learn french according to my own pace. This is a great app and I am so happy to have bought the program. I am excited to see where I go with French with this app!

I love this app! It works
So, I just got this app like 10min ago and I already love it! I love how the girl says it in English then in In French. But she says it twice. It’s really good it’s actually very helpful, I’ve already memorized a couple words and I just got a 10 minutes ago that’s how good it is! If you guys wanna learn French this is the app. So I was looking all over the App Store for a French learning app but they all say in at purchase or you have to pay a monthly fee And I was like just give me a app that works but this app is amazing I keep seeing amazing but it’s amazing! So I think this app or I wanted to learn French because I’m going to French in a month and I want to understand and talk in French. But so far I learned a couple words for for this app and I still can’t believe that I’m going to learn French so I give us at five stars and I hope you guys enjoy it too!

Better than Duolingo
I have to address the caveat right away, I have a more photographic mind. So for me seeing the English and French words next to each other really helps me retain the knowledge, even better than duo lingo. I also enjoy the fact that every word and phrase you hear the pronunciation which is huge when trying to convey yourself properly! It is also an app you can just listen to and don’t have to constantly interact with. You can start a lesson and just listen to it and follow along. The app also speaks slowly and clearly. I highly suggest this app to anyone looking to establish or strengthen there foundation in French!

So far I'm pleased. I have only had for a few days. I'm using as a extra practice to the French program I'm teaching my daughter this upcoming school year.

I live in rural Alaska and our small school district can not afford to offer a French class so I (someone who knows no French) am teaching my daughter for her language requirements. This program has given me a confidence in ability to teacher her as we learn together.

Big mistake not including article with noun
Right after I bought the in app upgrade for my son who is starting to learn French, I realized there is a major flaw w this app. All the nous don’t come with articles, la,le. This is a major no no for learning finch, Italian or Spanish, all the Romance languages. You need to know from the very beginning whether a noun is female or male. Just another tip, for learning German you definitely need to know der die das from the very beginning. Otherwise you will be in for major failure and pain later on. I am calling itune to get a refund. You know this app is written by English speakers. A French book will never teach you a noun without telling you the gender.

Almost perfect app
Love this app. Best I have found for learning French. 24 lessons. Would like more if the lessons could run together-so while driving, could do lesson 1 to lesson 24 without reaching for the phone and advancing to the next lesson. Would be a great feature. Same goes for listening while falling asleep. It would be great if it didn't stop at the end of the chosen lesson but just rolled on to the next one by itself.

Great App for Learning
I am delighted to find this program that teaches sets of words/phrases in manageable lists. You can go as fast/slow as you want. I studied French, in France, a long time ago, but without practicing it, in the States, I've forgotten a lot. This app has been great in helping me. So that I'm able to practice communicating with new friends who speaks French! I love this app!

This could be better, but what can I do?
This app is good but I wish it had pictures of the words like he, she, book, car and so on. I also think it should say the audio word more than two times. I hope the developer will read this and improve the app, but if not that's ok two.
