Very useful
I agree with another reviewer that pictures would be even more helpful in connecting a word with what it is. Also if there was some way to speed up the teacher's voice it would be a lot faster to learn (for those who find this easy to pick up this language the way it's presented.) However, for a free app... who can really complain? Not me!

COULD be a great tool
This app COULD be a great tool to begin learning German, or to review/refresh. HOWEVER, I installed the latest updates, and tried using the “Games” feature to enhance my learning. After only three (3) of the 15 questions were answered, an ad popped-up in the middle of my phone screen, TOTALLY covering the questions in the quiz game. I clicked the TINY x in the upper right corner to close the ad and try to resume my quiz/game. The dialogue box changed from the ad content to a message saying “ad closed by Google”, but the blank dialogue/ad box remained, with absolutely no way to close the box, and TOTALLY obscuring the questions and answers of the quiz/game. I battled it for a moment, clicked the “report ad....ad covers content” (an understatement) option, but couldn’t get the box to close to resume my lesson. I hit the home button and started over. I got to question three (3) of 15 again, and another ad that TOTALLY covered the questions and answers, and wouldn’t close appeared again. Essentially, on an iPhone screen, trying to utilize the app in its current form to play “games” or more accurately answer timed quiz questions is absolutely pointless and extremely frustrating.

Simple and effective way to learn a new language
This app employs simple and clean lessons for learning a new language. It is masterful in providing user only the necessary information to learn a language. Highly recommend given it a try.

For a beginner app, not bad
Quite a helpful app for beginners. It sounds out and repeats the words, which is nice. It also allows you to go back and review the lessons. Each lesson is short but to the point, which I can use between breaks at work. The only thing I'd change is adding the ä, ü, ß to the words and explaining what sounds those characters make. Also, it be nice if after each lesson we have a quiz where it lets us spell the words out in order to get a better feel of the word.
All in all, great app!

This is still a great app for noobs, I’d like to see a section for sounding out combo letters, and the sound the letter R makes depending on its location in a word. Besides that, still I’d recommend this app :).

Very useful!
I am using this app to learn some words and phrases for my upcoming trip to Germany and Austria. The pronunciation is very clear and I am certainly learning some German. Each list requires many repetitions, but with practice, you’ll remember more and more each time. Certainly requires more than 24 hours in order to learn all the words in all the lessons. I recommend this app. Great for beginners!

I love this app but...
I love this app but they should make it all free. if we’re going to learn three lessons we might as well learn more. there are only 3 free lessons, yes they are useful but we should be able to learn more since it’s 24 HOUR German. since there are 15 lessons and only 3 are free as i mentioned they should have a bonus 5 free other ones or at least 3 more free. that’s just my opinion.

I am reviewing the Deutsch I learned 60 years ago as a soldier in Germany during the Cold War. I am now reviewing in order to offset Alzheimers.
Although there are few German people to converse with, it's not like like being in Germany. I try to use my Deutsch in any occasion. I find it fun, whenever I have the chance, to meet a German person. I always try....lots of laughs! "Sind sie win Deutscher", always works.

Love this app!
This is the best on the go language learning app. On the plane, subway, bus or walking you can listen - repeat - and learn to speak German! Everyone has been impressed that I’ve picked it up so quickly. This app is a really wonderful tool. Thank you!

I have always been a natural at pronouncing German words and like the repeat pronunciation of words, I think it would be helpful if there were pictures along with words for association, like vocabulary cartoons, that would make this app THE best
