Add Customizable Routine Color Changes
I really like this app. There’s quite a bit about that I like. I use this app for doing the PT exercises I’ve been given from my physical therapist. One of the features I like is that it gives you the month showing the days you’ve done any of your routines. Great feature to show my therapist when and which pt I’ve done. I love the color tones. I like that I can play my music right in the app. Big numbers for visual is nice. I just wish I could customize those beautiful colors for my routines. I’d like to start a petition to the developers about this feature. I know other things might seem more important, but I REALLY want this feature and as soon as possible.
imperatrix mundi,
Great until I switched to iOS 12
I use this to walk/slow trot in intervals. I’ve used it for awhile. In July I discovered Pokémon GO. On my walking/saunter route, sometimes I stop to get in a raid. I used to be able to pause IntervalTimer Pro, fight the raid, then resume my routine. Since I upgraded to iOS 12 (from iOS 10), if I pause IntervalTimer Pro and switch to another app, my routine stops. I was used to that earlier if I had it paused for awhile (like 5 minutes or more), but today I lost my routine when it was paused and I switched apps for maybe 10 seconds, if that.
I went to Deltaworks’ website to try to contact their support rather than mention this in a review, but they don’t seem to have anything listed for support. Additionally, IntervalTimer (free or pro) is not listed on their site.
I also echo a previous reviewer’s comment about available sounds. I’m disappointed some of the sounds were removed. They remain in old routines I created, but I cannot add those same sounds to new routines. I assume that was an IP thing, and sometimes things like that can’t be helped. I miss the human voice announcing the routine is complete (she was replaced by a computer-generated voice). Again, maybe that was a residuals thing and the devs needed to cut some costs. But I miss the human.
I really miss being able to pause for a minute or three, though. If this can’t be fixed, I’ll have to figure out how to force my Fitbit app to do this, or I’ll have to get another interval app.
Szopinet,
Perfect for me!
The 4.1.9 update resulted in sluggish responsiveness when using switching between 2 apps. I listen to NPR or watch video during parts of my exercise routine. When I switch back to interval timer it takes several seconds for the timer display to adjust to the end of the exercise. The alert sounds on time. It’s just the display that is sluggish when switching back to it. Previously the display refresh was much quicker. SEE BELOW COMMENTS. THIS REALLY IS AN AWESOME APP THAT DOES EXACTLY WHAT I NEED. I wish the company had a more private way to give performance feedback about the app.

I really like the flexibility of this app. I'm not a gym rat but wanted a way to time and measure a few exercises I do. I don't use the app the way an athlete might but rather use the low and high intensity to time the length of time doing an exercise - for me low intensity is the time exercising and high intensity is my rest time.
The paid version allows me to set up all of my exercises and allows me to easily shorten or lengthen my workout based on the amount of time I have.
I also like the graph that shows each exercise and the amount of time I spent on it. As a repetition and time counter this app is very flexible and meets my need to record and track my workout - even though my exercise is moderate by most standards.
If I could add something to this app in would be an option to show the total amount of exercise time for a particular day.
Chopper&G,
Very customizable!!
I have used this for nearly a year doing interval run training. I love that I'm able to add multiple workouts, customize high and low intervals, breaks, and warmup/cool down. The notifications are loud enough that I'm able to hear over my music or podcast, and the sounds keep me on track for training. It's easy to pause and restart as needed and I love that I can program multiple run interval times within the same workout. I just upgraded to the full version; I'm not really sure there's any difference aside from the lack of ads at the bottom of the screen. Still, I want to support the developer and laud the work put into this app. It does everything I need and runs seamlessly in the background while I run. It saves my workouts and gives me the option to share socially. I highly recommend this over other interval apps I've tried!
Stevefirst,
Like it but wish there were some directions
I think I’m a pretty smart guy and I’m not trying to do anything too fancy- just set up 12-15 rounds of 3 minutes with a high intensity period within the last 30 seconds to one minute of the round followed by a rest period of say 30 seconds to one minute. I am not suggesting each round must have that variability but it would be nice to be able to maybe ramp up the intensity in mid rounds and shorten rest periods if possible. I am just confused by the jargon and a very simple one page legend would go miles-OR- perhaps there is one and I haven’t figured that out as yet; in which case my fault I guess......I will try a bit harder!
morezmore,
More sounds, please
Great app, I have been using it for years as a clock chime to count off time while I am working. I tend to focus too much and lose track of time. This app gently reminds me how much time I have left without interrupting the flow state. Gently is the key word. There only 1-2 sounds I can use, the rest are too jarring. And the trouble is I need to change the sounds periodically, because after a while I stop noticing them if I am too deep in thought. WOULD YOU KINDLY ADD MORE SOUNDS, which would be SHORT and PLEASANT. Or connect system own sounds. Thank you very much for considering. Wonderful app, otherwise, I use every day for several hours.

Music shuffle
I’d give this 5 stars, but the one minor issue I’ve had this past year is after some update that occurred my music will no longer play on shuffle. I have about 7000 songs on my phone that I enjoy listening to over time. If I set my music to shuffle the moment I start using the app it reverts back to playing in alphabetical order. Every other use in this app is pretty flawless & easy to learn & use. I just get tired of having to open my music and changing to something new each time instead of seamlessly going through different genres without touching my phone.
Amb2016,
Practical and easy round timer
I purchased this round timer when schedule changes meant that I had to leave my CrossFit class. I still wanted to do a modified CrossFit so I use this timer along with a wireless headset to grab a similar workout no matter where I am. I like that you can control the music from within the app. When the phone is in "landscape" orientation it's easy to see the timer from across a room. You have to take some time to set up your timers, but once you have them set, works perfectly. I have had this about a year and I am very pleased!
XeroKane,

Updating my review. The app has really come back to me since they made sharing optional. (Nothing worse then trying to get in a workout rhythm and clicking on the share after timer and spending time trying to figure out what went wrong with your app). Aside from a few audio issues one of the best apps I have worked with.

Tip for the audio issue. Make sure to have at least one music or sound file on your device. Hit the play at the bottom and then you can correct your devices audio levels as opposed to it trying to change the ringer as default.
Neon Bond,
For everyone shape and size
I have been using it for two to three years. I am not an athlete. But how I use is for a routine that I found from Pinterest and I apply this App.
For example: 20 min. Week 1: Walk fast for 4 minutes, walk regular for one. Week 2: run for one minute, walk for 3 five times. 20 min. And so forth. In the end( 12 weeks) you should be running for 20 min. This App let's you lead up to that.
I finally bought it because I used it soooo much. I am 53 years old! Love you can listen to music and easy to use. Never had issues.
