Laughalot99,
Using App is a breeze
Luna was recommended to me by my doctor following surgery. A highly qualified physical therapist delivered a customized treatment plan right in my own home. The Luna app allowed me to seamlessly manage appointments, message my therapist, communicate with the concierge center, and track my progress 24 X 7. My therapist inserted video exercises into the app which I could quickly access with touch ID at my convenience. Couldn’t be any easier! The only suggestion I have for the app going forward is to improve integration with billing department records and communications.

Full Disclosure - Luna offered me a $20 gift certificate to write a review but this is an accurate summary of my experience.

One star only because it doesn’t crash
The workouts concept is nice, but the execution is trash. The video for the workout isn’t really synchronized to the timer. You need to do some math to figure out how long you are supposed to rest between reps, and then count along for yourself. There aren’t any audio cues (which is probably an accessibility violation), so you can’t watch a show or something while you’re doing your exercises. You can’t even play a video in split-screen or picture-in-picture at the same time, either.

The app also prompts for a tip, which is extremely inappropriate generally considered unethical in the health care professions. That’s more of a complaint about the company than the app itself, but I feel it bears mentioning as part of the app review, because I doubt the company would never have the nerve to prompt for a tip to my face. I can’t imagine any DPT ringing me out and asking how much of a tip I’d like to give. I don’t hold it against the therapists - they’re probably as mortified about it as well. I like my DPT.

Outstanding PT
At my surgeon’s recommendation I scheduled in home PT thru Luna after a hip replacement last year. Even though I knew of a quality local practice in town, I was unable to drive myself to the clinic, so having a therapist come to my house was ideal. I have had physical therapy several times at different clinics and I know that the quality of the therapist varies and can make all the difference in recovery.
I was immediately pleased with Travis Moore, who was knowledgeable, experienced and he listened. Having him actually see my living situation - a 3 level house, on a hillside with a steep driveway, made it easier for him to give me ways to navigate the obstacles. He was patient, always encouraging and able to deal with new issues as they arose.
I would definitely recommend both Luna and Travis.

I love Luna Physical Therapy
I put off my surgery for years mainly because I was so sick of going to physical therapy. And then I heard about Luna that comes to your home. What a difference. They do everything right. They are so on top of any changes in your schedule, and always reminding you of your upcoming appointments. Their website is great. They have a video of each exercise, no more papers of stick figures that you have to shuffle through at home. Their therapists are well trained with high degrees. I can’t say enough good things about Luna. I tell everyone I know that needs PT.

Great app for busy patient
Let me just start by saying I don’t normally write reviews. I was referred to PT for a nagging Achilles injury. Verified my coverage in app. Luna booked me with a PT in 2 days, and I communicated direct with my therapist from there. She came to my home and we worked out a good time with my schedule. For about an hour two times a week for a month and a half. She gave my “homework” exercises to do in app. Which is good for me because I need to be nudged! No more Achilles issues. Super convenient and effective. No issues, great experience.

Pandemic lifesaver
I was recovering from surgery in 2020 and was hesitant to go out to outpatient therapy because of health and safety concerns. Independent of those concerns, it would've been a lot harder to get myself to a clinic because of my limitations post surgery.

Luna was a lifesaver for me. By bringing high quality PT services directly to me, I didn't have to worry about any of those concerns.

The app itself is unexpectedly well-designed. I appreciate how I can view my scheduling, exercises, and handle progress questionnaires all in the app.
Unreliable Bullies,
Forces Male Therapists On Women
My first therapist refused to stick to an appointment time and called to change the time 2-3 days prior every week. She then called me and harassed me for weeks to give her another chance. When I tried to get a new therapist, the male supervisor told me that I was being discriminatory because I wanted a female. They called me for weeks to try and force a male and then asked me to schedule anyway. Not recommended for women who want to have bodily autonomy and safety in their own homes. This service treated my needs as though I was a child demanding too much. Avoid at all costs if you’re a trauma survivor. No compassion or understanding whatsoever. Ken, the supervisor, was arrogant and pushed hard on me to have a male therapist. I feel bullied and am deleting this app.
nancybal,
Luna is great!
Luna was wonderful for my mom who was recuperating from a a laminectomy. Rachael was amazing! She motivated my mom to do exercises that she would have never considered doing before. Her progress was exceptional as Rachael encouraged her every step of the way. And my mom wanted to please her in the most sincere way!

Having an expert coming to her home was fantastic as it was difficult for my mom to get into the car. Rachael was punctual, patient and professional, and we are grateful for what she did for my mom.

I would recommend Luna to anyone!

Great PT App
I broke my foot and needed some in-home PT because I could not drive. I found Luna and they were a life saver. The app was really easy to use and make appointments and they dealt with my insurance. They found me a therapist within hours and I had my first session the next day. The therapist was great and she brought everything that was needed including a huge table to work on my foot and leg. Using Luna was so much easier than going to a location and the therapy was just as good. I highly recommend Luna.
Chubbycouture,
Poor Service, Unreliable Therapists
I really needed this to be an awesome app/PT option. However after a no show therapist with no warning, a cancel with no explanation, and no response from customer service, I’m starting to believe it’s an elaborate scam that I’m just not clever enough to figure out. The app is ok, though no easy way to contact customer service in-app outside of a very delayed concierge chat. Their site also says that they accept United Health Care care but in actuality they do not, but they offer a discounted price so that was a bonus. I wish I could say something great about this, but honestly, it’s just a lot of run around and minimal transparency. Very disappointed.
