Looks real great!
Downloaded it for a bit and it looks like it is a great app to practice! If you fall into the main category that the app falls to. Most pieces are classical, which is fine, unless you fall into a nonclassical instrument. Plus some people don’t want to really play classical. For example I downloaded this app and as a Sax player in my school’s jazz band, I want to play some jazz. Unfortunately I couldn’t find one single piece like that.
This app has a whole lot of potential that I hope they expand on eventually. Imagine if they could have lessons for your instrument with it. They could have little classes where they could teach improv for example.
Great app, Just aint for me.
This app has a whole lot of potential that I hope they expand on eventually. Imagine if they could have lessons for your instrument with it. They could have little classes where they could teach improv for example.

Almost good but not quite
I had high hopes for this app, and wanted to try it out to see if it would be helpful for my students, and also see if it would be helpful in my own practice. For me personally, I knew right away that it wouldn’t be all that helpful since it only has a few solo pieces for my instrument (horn). It would be more helpful if it had orchestral excerpts and etudes, and some less standard solo works as well. For a little while I thought it might still be good for my students but it turned out to be just not that great after trying it out with a few pieces. My main complaints are: when the metronome feature is turned on, it is slightly off from the accompaniment that is playing, as is the highlighted bar. Occasionally the accompaniment just completely froze on one note, like it wasn’t picking up my playing correctly. I also noticed it would pause when it picked up the sound from me emptying my horn in the rests. And anytime there was a tempo change it simply did not work well at all. If those were improved, it might be helpful for younger players, and if there was more repertoire it might be better for me.

A music app I am actually willing to pay for...
I have struggled most my life with practice. I’ve had a lot of pressure put on me as a “golden child” when I showed natural ability from a young age. After awhile I didn’t know if I was playing for me or for my parents. This artist’s block has lasted me since age 16. On my fifth or sixth attempt, at the beginning stage of this #100DaysofPractice I downloaded this app after seeing an ad on IG. You guys have legitimately changed my life. I actually look forward to practicing instead of dreading. I have recommended this app to most of my students. I cannot thank you enough. You’ve made practicing Classical as fun for me as Jazz. You’ve accomplished something no one could do in my classical playing life. My future wins audition self will thank you, I thank you.
***what would be helpful is adding more concerti for violin, the real ones for professionals like Mendelssohn, Brahmns, Tvhaikovsky, Sibelius, etc. More advanced pieces would help you compete with Cadenza and Nomad.

Money grab, no way to try or explore
I love the concept of this app, but they SHOVE their subscription down your throat. When first opening and picking your instrument (which you can only choose one of btw) it immediately takes you to their subscription with no friendly way to get past it (you have to click try the 7 day trial then decline the trial) so already not user friendly. Then once you actually get into the “free” part of the app and find a piece, it only allows you to play like one measure before their subscription pops up again. Even declining and trying to continue the piece gets you one more measure and then subscription. So the “free” part of the app is literally unusable for its intended purpose at all. I love the concept and would love to have an app or program like this, but not one that has a poor selection or subscription pop ups every 15 seconds. BTW it’s $14 a month or $75 a year.

Great idea and start I just need more
I think this concept of having play alongs for classical rep would be so great to practice with to prepare pieces and listens to you to you play and records you as well. You got every tool here you could want for a practice session. However for me to commit to a subscription and using this app any further as a saxophonist there needs to be more saxophone rep. Heiden sonata. Glazunov concerto just to name some. More standard rep classical players are expected to play would greatly boost this app into a must for every musician at every level

Bad for advanced players
The thing I’ve noticed about this app, is there’s no hard or challenging pieces. I don’t know if this app is meant for beginners, but they have options for different levels based on how advanced you are. I play the sax, bassoon, and the double bass, and on any of them I couldn’t find any songs that were especially made for those instruments or if they were they weren’t worth playing, ex. Eine Klein Nachtmusik for the bass. In addition to that, you cant even play full pieces unless you pay a dumb amount for what you’re getting. In conclusion, you either have to pay for the app to get anything even somewhat worth playing, or you have to be a piano player/violin player.

Best app ever!!
I’ve played trumpet for 7 years. I was first trumpet in all county. Life happened and I haven’t played in 8. I’ve been looking for an instructor to help me get to where I used to be but I don’t have the funds. I went on the App Store hoping to find an app to help me and this is amazing! I’m on the free trial but it’s only 60 something bucks for the whole year. If you’re old school like me you can even print out the music sheets. They have a wide variety of genres. My only complaint is they don’t have John p sousa yet

Finally a serious App for Musicians
This is not yet another sheet music App that tries to tap you away from paper with useless promises such teaching you how to play! This is a real App for amateurs practicing music who wish bring excellence to their daily practice. You play with orchestras and high quality back tracks that adapt to YOUR interpretation! Looping feature quite useful... High quality sheets and expanding repertoire.
+1 for the Watch App with amazing tuner that works independently from the iPhone.
I wish they propose options to import scores so we could stay focused in one place.

Excellent
The app is amazing. Customer support is amazing. I really like that you can play along, and I think it’s amazing you can adjust the latency of the sound. The selection of music is diverse. I of course wish absolutely everything I wanted was immediately available for me to play hahaha but I LOVE that you can submit a request for anything to suggest additions to the repertoire. I definitely will be purchasing a subscription in the future when I can afford it, it’s definitely worth the price.

Very neat
I highly highly recommend this app for any musician who is wanting to mess around with different pieces. (especially those solo and ensemble kids in Texas.) Find your solo on here and practice with an accompaniment will make your practice sessions more entertaining and your pianist (or orchestra take your pick) will be much less frustrated with you. There is a slight draw back to the app that caused me
