Introducing MTB Fit - by MTB Fitness! From its launch back in 2015, tens of thousands of mountain bikers have improved their fitness on the mountain bike through MTB Fitness programmes and guides. Run by Matt Mooney, a keen mountain biker and personal trainer since 2010, MTB Fitness was created to help your everyday rider get fitter, faster and stronger on the bike so they can enjoy this awesome sport to the max.



The MTB Fit app is a huge leap forward in the MTB Fitness offering, helping you commit to improving your fitness on the bike in a seamless and exciting way.

The app includes :

- New MTB specific programmes every 2 weeks with in-app demo videos, quick glance exercise screenshots, rep/weight tracking & much more. You’ll have total flexibility; choose to train anything from one to six times a week & schedule your workouts using the in-app calendar.


- 2 levels of difficulty. Choose between beginner plans and advanced plans and switch between them at anytime. These make the app accessible to all fitness & strength levels and also allows you to ramp things up leading up to an event or riding holiday or scale things back to ‘maintenance’ through the hotter months.


- Train at home or in the gym (or in your home gym!) Both home & gym programmes are included and accessible at all times. Train at home with just a set of resistance bands & your bodyweight, or train in the gym/your home gym using free-weights.

- Ongoing programmes mean no rigid ’12 week schedule’ to stick to. Had a break for a week or two due to illness or injury? Jump straight back into your training with the up-to-date plans, meaning no feelings of guilt and no trying to ‘catch up’. This is just like Matt’s in-person personal training clients who train long term, rather than for a short period of time.


- An exclusive global community to hold you accountable. Members of MTB Fit receive access to an exclusive private Facebook group. Only current subscribers to MTB Fit have access to the group, meaning everyone can motivate and support each other while all following the current programmes together. (Note : this is totally separate to the public group on Facebook)


- Direct priority access to Matt through email or in the Facebook group to ask any questions & get expert support anytime you like.

- Sync the app with a host of other apps & devices such as Apple Health, Fitbit, Garmin, in-phone calendars, MyFitnessPal & Withings.


- Access to your own desktop hub and Apple Watch app is also included.

Tremendous Training Tool
The MTB Fitness App has given me a totally new approach to training off of the bike and how I track it. The workouts have been fantastic and time sensitive with most not taking more that 35 to 40 minutes. The programmed workouts rotate every 3 to 4 weeks to keep our bodies in a continual state of change. I have noticed big changes to certain portions of my body that I had not trained in these ways. My core has gotten tremendously stronger and more balanced. If workout in the gym or at home, this app has you covered. Highly recommend this app.

I’m on board. This is by far one of the best workout programs I’ve ever done. The workouts are very straightforward and very strategic in progression. They translate well to riding a mountain bike and attacking gnar and elevation. Matt is outstanding. He’s responded to every inquiry I’ve had and has some outstanding insight and advice. This app is only in its infancy. It’s getting better All the time. Great job Matt!!! Well earned five start review. When you come state side and head out to the southwest, let me know.

Outstanding program and even better support!
I’ve been mountain biking for years but haven’t really taken my fitness seriously. I decided I want to get into competition shape and I’d been following MTB Fitness on social for a while so I thought I’d give it a shot. The owner of the company, Matt, provides constant support and thoughtful answers to questions in such a timely manner that you wonder how he has time to ride! The Facebook community is awesome and the workouts are fantastic.

Perfect training for MTB
These workouts make me feel like throwing up the exact same way my local trail climbs do. Couldn’t get off the floor after the last session. I do the home sessions with resistance bands that cost me $25, and the fact that Matt put together a workout program this good with only the bands for equipment is awesome. Great app itself with 100% MTB-relevant workouts and solid companion videos.

Love the app
Was a user of the 12 week plan which was good, but the app is sooo much better. The user interface is great and the videos are a huge help. The Facebook page for app users is also awesome and helps to maintain motivation. My riding has certainly improved.

Best workout I’ve had in a long time!
Wonderfully thought out app. Track your progress, video demonstrations, built in timer… I could go on but you should just check it out for yourself! You won’t be disappointed
