Description

Hello and welcome to On/Go. The industry leading, I-can’t-believe-they-made-COVID-19-testing-this-simple app. The On/Go app is here to give you peace of mind through the testing process. Instead of reading through a sheet of instructions bigger than a world map, we give you simple, clear, visual instructions at the touch of your fingertips.

Just install the app, create an account, and follow the instructions as you take your On/Go test. The app walks you through all the steps, from prep, to sample collection, to reading the results. The best part is you can store, view, and share your test results (only with those you want to share with). This allows you to easily show your results as you get back out there— from events, to work, to parties, and more. This app can be used with the On/Go and CareStart OTC Self-Tests. For any questions or concerns with regards to our app or tests, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our team at 888-965-0301.

OrionEridanus,
Serious login UI problems on IPhone 12, iOS 15
If the first login attempt fails for any reason such as wrong password and sometiems for now reason I can discern, the login page rerenders with the password pane superimposed over the email pane and the login button on top of both of them, making it impossible to login. The only way out is to force quit the app. The forgot password page behaves the same out of the gate . If I did not have the app on my iPad also I would have been completely locked out of the app. Since I only saw this complaint one other time in the 40ish reviews I scanned, I wonder if I have a corrupt setting. All my other apps work fine. Otherwise the app works fine. It is puzzling how much personal info the app asks for . I suppose this is to collect what might be needed to add the results to a COVID passport app. User should be given a choice whether they intend to use it that way so they can skip the tiresome and seemingly pointlessly invasive questions . I put in a bunch of fake data. I get you handle it carefully, but with so many different apps requiring loads of data, it increases the odds that one will be compromised.
Smat68,
No more Anxiety user friendly Kit
As CDC is come up with Mandatory mask for people working in NY State from 23 May I thought of carrying out a self test prior I began my journey to NY State from Pennsylvania. I got the CareTest kit and thought of just carrying out the test for self precaution and found this kit and the instructions user friendly. In case of any doubt you can refer to You Tube too but for sure that need won’t rise as the instructions coming with the kit is user friendly. Don’t forget to download the ON/GO App prior starting the test as that App will guide you through the entire test process and for each stage there is a timer which records your time so you will be sure that you are not exceeding the time for every stage of the test. I really appreciate the Team who made this test so easy and hassle free. Far better than taking appointments & waiting anxiously for the test results.
pburke,
Disappointed
My husband bought these tests instead of the over-the-counter tests we normally get. I am highly offended that I was required to get an app and make an account in order to take the test. I am an intelligent adult, fully capable of understanding simple directions for an at home test. These tests came with ZERO instructions in the box. "Get the app" was the only instruction I received. I feel like the personal information I had to enter in order to complete download of the app and "take the test" (including name, birthdate and zipcode) was too much. I then had to list symptoms, and take a picture of my test results. (Which were negative by the way, as I suspected) This is obviously a way for someone to keep tabs on who feels sick, who is testing, and who tests positive in certain areas. I am a responsible citizen. I have tested, and tested my family, more times than I care to admit just because I want to go the extra mile to keep others safe. I do not need "big brother" standing over my shoulder to make sure I do the tests right, or report results appropriately. I feel like my privacy was invaded, and if I have to buy these tests again - well, I just won't have home tests. I won't be going to urgent care to get tested when I suspect "maybe, but probably not", either so that will mean less symptomatic people tested. Great job, on/go. 🙄
campjubo,
Grateful
We purchased the test at a local grocery store pharmacy, the only brand of test they offered. Original purchase was to have tests on hand as folks gathered at our home for Christmas. I began with a sore throat and drainage a day later so I used one. After following the written instructions AND using the app, my eyes could clearly see the negative result but the app indicated that the result was inconclusive because ‘test expired’. Confused, I checked the expiration date on the box and it was ok. I could only assume that the app thought I waited too long to read the test, which was not the case. I had confidence in my negative test but retested the following day at the prescribed time. This time the app read what my eyes saw, so while it felt like a waste of the first attempt I did feel confident to be able to go to work (fully masked while i still had cold symptoms) and not fear risking the health of people I might come in contact with. I like that there are 2 tests in the box for retesting or for others in the household. The timer on the app is helpful. Don’t plan to stock up on tests unless you have people to share with because of the short shelf life.
Cryptik,
Easier to use than many others
After three years of dodging COVID-19, I finally caught it in March 2023.
I was pleasantly surprised to find that the On/Go app has an expedited pipeline for evaluating if you qualify for a Paxlovid intervention, which must be started early during the symptom window.
If you test positive for COVID, *do* fill out the offered in-app questionnaire to evaluate if a course of Paxlovid is appropriate. The App has human review, approval by a qualified reviewer, and works with your insurance and your pharmacy. All 4 steps are important, and timely execution of them is key if you are to receive a course of treatment within the recommended early intervention window, when a course of Paxlovid may prevent a mild- to mid-severity case from becoming worse.
I'm certain the app and test helped me avoid a worse outcome with COVID, and helped me get back on my my feet more quickly.
Schnurkelique,
Easy to use and reliable
I have tried several different brands of Covid rapid tests and on/go is definitely my favorite. At the very start of Covid back in 2020, on/go was the first test I ever tried and the one I continue to turn to for reliable results. For those who would like a walkthrough of the test, the app is incredibly easy and takes you through the process step by step. To help you along the way there are timers and handy illustrations and a photo of the results for your records. There is always a chance that the viral load in your nose at the time you test may not carry enough of the virus to be detected on a rapid test, so testing multiple times at different times of the day is the recommendation if you have persistent symptoms and your test is negative. On/go is my go-to for rapid testing.
JanouBrie,
Good app/UI, bad test instructions
While I was a little nervous about giving my health data to this company, I’ve basically given up on data privacy at this point. I liked the UI and clear instructions of the app (particularly important since the box of tests I purchased included two sets of Spanish instructions and zero English). However, the instructions themselves led to a wasted test! It clearly and explicitly stated to place three drops of fluid on the test, but that wasn’t enough for the capillary action to actually reach the test window, even on a completely flat surface. It rendered the test unreadable, so I had to use the second test in the box. When it was clear the second test was going to have the same problem, I added an additional 6 drops of fluid. That was enough to get the liquid to reach the test window, and I received a result. But that was a waste of ~$15, since I had to use both tests for a single result. Seems like they need to revisit their instructions to ensure it gets a result.
BarbaraOwen,
On/Go is a great asset for those who need an at-home test
I have used the On/Go home test twice. Once to assure my friends that I was clear of infection prior to our annual holiday get-together (we missed last year). We were all so excited to be able to gather in person after almost two years apart.
The second round of tests was prior to travel from Orlando to New York City to be with my sister and family for the holidays. I wanted to make sure that I wasn’t bringing virus into their home as my brother-in-law has health issues. As a bonus we were able to enjoy a holiday party at their home with their friends who were also vaccinated and tested.
The ease to use, accurate On/Go test has been a great blessing to our family.
pupsandbuns,
Can’t add family members
Very easy to use so that gets a 5. The app walked us right thru every step even though the written directions were a bit overwhelming at first.
Couldn’t add a family member under my name so I have both a positive and a negative. So that gets a 2. There are two different ways to do this - as you start the test and under your profile. However neither way would let me save their name. It was for an adult and I even tried giving them a fake child’s birthday but that didn’t work either.
Really once you do it the first time you don’t need the app but the timers are handy to have.
Also, I’m not sure why they make you take a picture of it and then make YOU interpret your test. If I have another app that reads my grocery receipt and knows what I bought, surely there is technology to read a test like this.
Literroy,
Way too much personal info required
If I had known that I had to give personal information to this company before taking their COVID test, I never would have bought their COVID test. But you have to give them an email, phone number, your first and last name, and birthday before you can use the app. Plus it doesn’t even let me use my actual last name, which has an apostrophe in it. It of course doesn’t tell you that—I struggled for five minutes trying to figure out why it wouldn’t let me continue before I realized it was the apostrophe issue. If you’re going to refuse to allow apostrophes in names, despite millions of people in the world having them, the bare minimum you could do is actually say that’s what you’re doing.

We have a moral responsibility to one another to make COVID testing easy, and this company is failing at that responsibility. (In addition to how much they charge for tests, which is fairly obscene to begin with.)
