You Need This App!!🤩
I have been using the Yoga app for the last year and loved it (along with my other exercises) and am on Run Dog’s workout 3 beginner level 25min…Run Dog AWESOME 🤩 OMG it’s definitely hard at the beginner level…I’m about 1.0-.5 speeds behind the slowest speed recommendations…but I’ll work up to it. I have to say 2021 has been the year of loosing the 2020 weight and I’m down about 25lbs and just hit 139lbs this week. I’ve been doing treadmill exercises for the last year about 3-5x a week but if I had had this app…I’d already be where I want to be weight wise…I just didn’t really know what I was doing. I’d try and watch my heart rate but my workouts weren’t nearly as impactful as Run Dog’s. I LOVE THIS APP AND WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS IF YOU’RE TRYING TO LOOSE WEIGHT AND GET YOUR CARDIO ON POINT👍👍👍

Less than satisfied
I adore the DownDog Yoga apps, so I was truly disappointed when this app didn’t work for my jogging journey.
It is super glitchy when not connected to WiFi, making outdoor runs way less productive, and the music selections are frankly terrible. I do not enjoy the embedded poppy/hiphop style musics, so I tried to use my own playlists, and it made it impossible to hear the trainer because there was no adaptation in volume for either the trainer or the music.
I have a different app that I pay for for jogging training that I was hoping to get rid of for budget purposes, but because this one didn’t work for me due to the above listed reasons, I have to stick with the other app. I was very disappointed with the lack of usage and the incompatibility with my own music choices.
I love the other apps this company offers, and I have a full access subscription, but with the jogging workouts not fully downloading to the phone and running off of data in-the-moment, it just does t work for me.
If you treadmill run, it’s a decent option, but I was just underwhelmed with the entire experience of this particular app.

Running just got a lot more interesting
Every few months, fad workout routines pop up here and there. But the best advice I ever received about fitness is that everyone’s body works differently. And what works for other people won’t necessarily work for you. And in all my years of experimenting, I’ve found that I get the best fitness results with running and HIIT workout routines.
But the thing with running is that it can get boring sometimes. But this app just changed that for me. I’m excited to run again.

The best!
I have been trying to run for years but just couldn’t get the hang. I did a lot of reading - but every time when I tried, I ended up to surrender to my thoughts to slow down. I didn’t know how to pace and when to push myself. But with this app, everything changed! It gave clear instructions how to breath, pace and when to push. The first time I tried, I finished 20 mins run (1.6miles) without a thought to stop! Highly recommended!

Love this running app!
Like the yoga version, I love this running app! It makes it SO easy to jump into a workout. No endless scrolling or filtering, I can literally be working out in seconds. I love that I can do a quick 10 minutes during the middle of the day or an hour during my usual workout time in the evening. I do have two suggestions that could make this even better: 1. have the background color change when there is a change in incline or speed, and 2. Add options to customize how long the warm-up and cool-down are.

Perfect motivation!
I’ve tried many a running app and believe this app to be the best of them. The cues help with form and technique, the encouragement comes at just the right time, the well-timed music keeps me motivated, and their suggestions for speed, incline, etc will help me improve my skills. It’s a “must-try” for new and experienced runners alike.

Fun app, but marred by technical glitches
The music and coaching make this sound, and feel like a peloton app. Unfortunately, the prompts that the app gives are often out of sequence. This is especially true if you keep the workout to less than 30 minutes. For example, it will tell you that you have to run hard for a full minute and then bring you back to a jog after only 30 seconds. Also, the instructor will say that you are going to move from a hard run to a fast jog, but then the app forgets about the fast jog.

Mph a bit tough
I love the down dog series for fitness. I have been using the yoga app for two years and got the HIIT one a few months ago. So I was /am excited about this version. The music is great and it was a great challenge. I would say in the beginner mode, the mph suggested are maybe too fast? A “slow jog” between 5-7 mph is not really that slow. For me at least. That being said I just adjusted as the instructor mentioned and had a great workout in 30 minutes.

Bummed
I really wanted to love this app, I think their yoga app is topnotch but the running app? Not so much. Tons of tech issues, kept freezing up and crashing. I tried the beginner run despite being a higher end intermediate runner because I wanted a slow easier workout today. That was not in any shape or form a beginner run. 45 second warmup only and then running the rest of the time including being told not to walk during recovery time. A beginner runner will either get hurt starting out this way and or hate running after that workout.

I hate running
This is by far the best running app I have tried. I use the down dog yoga app nearly everyday and love it, I had to try their running app since I hate running. There were clear results. I run every other day, each time increasing the speed. There is no doubt this app works.

A few recommendations:
I wish I could upload my own playlist. While the music is upbeat and definitely works, it’s not for everyone.
It would be nice to have a mile and speed tracker. Even a setting for how far you’d like to run would be nice.
It’s often unclear when I’m supposed to speed back up and I get confused about the varying time increments.
