I cannot speak highly enough of dr. Rodd. He has been my doctor since I moved to Michigan two years ago and has been nothing short of amazing. He is easy to talk to, authentic and caring. He doesn’t rush you and he always tries to help me with whatever I’m going through. He is kind and empathetic and never judges me. He takes the time to listen to my problems and medical concerns but also balances things out by asking about my personal life and talking to me about things we both enjoy like hunting and fishing. I can’t speak highly enough about his bedside manner. I’ve gone through some really good times and really rough times and he always treats me with respect and genuinely cares for my well being. I’ve never had a doctor that is so authentic and genuinely wants the best for my life. I can’t speak highly enough of him. It’s so comforting to know that he cares and I can be honest with him about whatever I’m going through and he will do his best to help in whatever way he can. 5/5 stars for dr. Rodd. I can’t recommend him highly enough. I am incredibly blessed he is my doctor.

Chart review I can not express well enough how much I am a fan of the my chart !
The chart has been a real connector for me. It is very patient friendly and easy to use. I can’t even begin to guess how many times it has saved me having to hunt around to find addresses and phone numbers of the doctors I need to see. I have had extensive and varied medical conditions that were with multiple different doctors. It would have been a nightmare for an extremely I’ll person to navigate getting all the info I needed for my appointments! Using the messaging part of the chart has speeded up my communication with my doctors and nurses also! I truly love the speedy responses and in depth info that allows me to receive my care in such a timely and accurate way. I know the staff must be very happy that their patients aren’t bombarding them with phone calls and interruptions while with their current patients! It’s a win/win scenario LOVE IT!

Easy to Navigate
I am enjoying this app. I can use it for both my husband and myself. I have access to our medications and health information. So if we are at another office other than Spectrum I can pull up our charts and medications lists.
If I have questions I send a message and it is addressed in a timely manner! Its better than worrying about missing a return phone call.

Needs Work
Would be a great resource if accurate. Meds are incorrect. I deleted some I hadn’t taken in many years, but they are still listed. I have had vaccinations, but they are not listed in the app and I cannot list the. App should tell me how to get them listed. App should document source of info. App should at least let me add notes, such as the date on which I received a vax or when my next appt is for something it says I am late on. Incorrect/missing info on top of no instr on how to get it updated makes app not pnly useless but a hazard to my health depending on who is referencing it. I would like to be able to include all of my medical providers in one app, but instead each office seems to have their own system. Needs some medical community integration. I have high hopes for improvement.

Quick quick results seen and a good way to communicate with your doctor
There is only one thing that I believe they could improve about the app itself, to be able to print from it. There’s no way to do that. Another downside to the app is if somebody reads new information off of your chart that you share, it appears as read and your own chart you cannot tell which is new information anymore if they happen to read it first.

Love their app….
I love their app except it takes forever for messages to go through. Our family has doctors at both Trinity and Spectrum and the messages from Trinity go right through but the ones from spectrum are very delayed.
This doesn’t have to do with the Spectrum app I don’t think but when they send in a prescription for someone to Walgreens, I don’t get notified on either here or Walgreens app. It doesn’t even show up on my Walgreens app ever.

Virtual Visits
After having a sinus infection since the middle of September I went through this video application for this sinus infection. Was given an antibiotic that did not work and never took before. Then went on again with a PA who was rude and disrespectful!!! And he would not give me another antibiotic after it has gone into my ears with fever and earaches. Then he prescribed Benadryl and Sudafed!!! Did he not read my chart or my records to see I can not take those because of three conditions with my heart. I could have had a heart attack taking those but I knew I not to take them.

I am offended I am asked my gender identity, whether or not I believe I am a man or a woman or I was born a man or a woman this is just so wrong….. 1% of the population does not need to control the other 99%.
I was recently in to have blood drawn, and was asked literally the same questions why do I have to constantly answer the same questions over and over and over. Why can’t we just say things haven’t changed or identify the items that have changed.
This system is redundant and over burdensome on the patient.

Best SH App yet
Spectrum Health has put out many apps. Some have been easy to use and some have been difficult. This app is actually easy to use and easy to follow. I only wish that the billing application was more detailed and allowed us the opportunity to pay bills and find out more information than what is available. Other than that it’s a great app.

A Surpising Omission
MyChart can be a bit confusing to navigate at times, but it is getting better. The surprising thing to me is the lack of ability to show the booster shot for COVID in the electronic vaccine card. It doesn’t seem like a tough thing to add. It is curious that they can’t even have that available for all vaccines. EPIC has an army of developers and consultants tweaking stuff daily. I don’t understand why this simple fix has taken so long.
