Almost exactly what I was looking for
Edit/Update - after beating this game, I was made aware of the other games - 5 stars - great game. Apologies, devs!!
The game is great. Aside from some minor changes, like a fuller story, a better crafting system, the game is excellent. Take all the joys of SNES FF games, some survival/crafting mechanics, and you have a fun little game. I feel like an expansion is definitely in order, or a second game; as I don’t have the slightest clue what goes into making a game, I can’t make any major demands of the dev team. The game is very refreshing - if you’re a Minecraft enjoyer, maybe you’ve bought the latest console or PC game, got sick of it and grabbed your pickaxe and sword and started building your 5th castle and simply relaxed - this is how I feel about this - so many games on App Store that either hold your interest for about 3 hours, or have insane space and battery demands, then want money - this game breaks away from that. Give it a shot!

Great game
This is one of my favorite game. The game offers some brain teaser and makes you think. The puzzles aren’t too difficult. At a certain point, you may need to grind for materials and food. It is for a long run.
The negative part of the game is the control. I played on my iPad and it is quite difficult to move the character because the control pad is too far into the screen. Another negative part is the hint. I didn’t really use the hint. One time I was stuck and checked the hint. It kept saying I need a better armor for dark cave. However, I already passed that point in game. I found out that I need snake skin armor but that when I already beat the game and I got only 97.1%. Then I got back in game and tried something and that when I found out about the armor that I missed but could still progress the game.
Even though there are a couple negative parts, overall the game is great and that overcomes those negative parts. I still give this game 5 stars.

I finished the game (both with and without finding the treasure) before writing this, so I know what I’m talking about when I say this is an awesome survival RPG game. It’s not a AAA game or anything, but it’s definitely a great way to kill some time.
There’s only one thing I would stress, though. Be careful once you get a metal detector.
There’s a very limited amount of ore and you should NOT make anything unless you need to. That’s my only problem with the game; there’s a small margin of error at first with ore, but all it takes is making one too many knives and you’ve soft-locked yourself out of victory. (Unless ores re-appear once a day or something; this game was so addicting that I finished it in less than 24 hours!)
(Don’t worry though, that’s the only thing that could screw you over. Any other mistake just means fishing for like 2 minutes or picking up a few more rocks here and there.)
But I love how it’s left up to the player to figure out most things (like which enemies are bosses, where everything is, how to advance and unlock better stuff...) especially since there’s no penalty for death except being sent back to your base (unless you choose to watch an ad, of course). Reminds me of The Legend of Zelda for NES a bit.

Great game the way it should be!
I thoroughly enjoyed this game. It has a nice retro feel (like SNES Zelda). The gameplay is straight forward and controls work properly. I think they fixed any bugs with their hint system, which others have mentioned, because mine worked perfectly.
My favorite parts of the game are:
• It has an end; I.e. you can actually play this game through.
• On that note, it’s not like most games where you can only play until you’re invested and then you must buy things to make gameplay approach tolerable.
• It’s well structured forcing you to complete certain tasks before being able to explore.
• Simple game mechanics.
• Some decently challenging sections.
• A little bit of resource farming but not so much the game gets boring.
• Lastly, the ads actually give the user something in return for having to watch them.
Cons:
• I thought the ads were a bit excessive but it is a free game and I appreciate getting something in return.
Overall it’s a great, simple, 8bit style game that isn’t too complicated or a big time/money scam. I downloaded the 2nd and 3rd versions too.

Surprisingly addictive
Someone recommended this game to me so I downloaded it. Wasn’t impressed having played snes growing up and still a major fan of Zelda and games alike. I then deleted this game and that same person was telling me about some of the things you unlock later on, so I gave it another try. Once I got passed the beginning I was hooked. The reward of figuring out what to do and where to go next is satisfying.
My biggest con is the fight mechanic. It isn’t very good and if you don’t have food you can forget getting anywhere. But I guess that adds to the challenge 🤷🏻♂️
Overall, it’s a great game and amazing time passer. 10/10

Great concept
Loved this game. And I saw there are two sequels out there. Cant wait to play them. Reading other reviews I was worried about running out of resources for crafting, but the game won’t allow you to craft more then you need with materials that are limited... specifically, iron ore. I finished 100% and had 4 extra. Maybe it’s been updated since the original reviews. With the ore and nails, you just have to be prepared to search the entire map, which isn’t too large. Overall, it was a fun adventure with some simple crafting mechanics that kept me entertained throughout.

Amazing game and gameplay
Basically perfect the only bad thing would be the ads you get when you go in your shelter because it skips to day making it so you can’t Heal by sleeping I would like it if you could make a base for stuff maybe it would let you make some stuff you couldn’t without maybe you need like a campfire or something like that to make the stuff with metal but it’s a great game 10/10

This is a awesome game you should try it.
I was looking through my phone and I found this came SRPG 1 I wondered what it is so I tried it i’m so confused what to do with them I got the hang of it because I was instructions it’s a very fun game I was so confused when it talented nights for first time I did not know what to do so I just waited For morning to fall then in the morning I decided I would try my best to grind and then I got a boat and went to different islands!

If you are thinking about getting this game, get it! It is really fun. Though it’s kind of hard to explain but if you have played one of the old Zelda games but think they are a little hard, then this is a good rpg for you. Also, clarification, a rpg game is not a gun, it’s a role playing game. RPG for short. So, if you like Minecraft and the old Zelda, this is for you.

Old school game... sorta
... to be fair, I’m only in the beginning of the game as I write the review.
This whole “crafting” craze falls short for my taste. I’d rather explore, discovering items through searching and using found items creatively.
Also, I’m not a fan of “In App Purchase” game model. I think it can hamper the design aspect of the developer, choosing for level design to be narrower (but harder, resulting in the player’s decision to either do endless routine collecting or pay to advance...naturally)
In fairness, it’s controls are well designed/ easy to operate. Graphics are simple, but it works. The Crafting menu is simple, yet a bit frustrating (I can make a padded shirt, but there’s no menu option to “wear shirt” or “use sword”. The game, from what I can observe, uses a “passive” format, donning equipment that’s best for the player. Meh...
