This has helped me
So I’ll give an up to date review . My app works great no glitches and is not slow . Besides that the app is great . I always have someone to talk to or just understand what I’m going through . It’s more than just relationships it’s people going through many different things it could be a work problem or a school problem they can’t figure out . It’s helpful , but it’s not just an app you get on and see sad posts it’s also happy post . It is like a support group. You go when you feel like it any time of the day . People who follow you get to keep up with you and how you’re doing and you get to do the same so that’s a nice feature I like ! And sometimes you just don’t want to hear opinions or comments and other times people just don’t know what to say so I love the buttons that say “hug” and “support “ and “I’m here for you” because it’s the little bit of reassurance somebody needs. Seriously use this app if you just wanna post and post it’s like a twitter but somewhere where you don’t have to feel embarrassed somewhere you probably won’t see anyone you know on it it’s a safe place. It’s helped me a lot so thank you to whoever made this app.

I have an honest review
This app is no different than religion, if you need it, if it helps you through the days, if it serves you well, then go for it. I see people posting everything from I need help, to dry begging for a date. I don’t get in direct messaging. I literally only have the app, to vent.. I sincerely believe if you’re going to do yourself harm, you’re not going to get online and say it, over and over.. I’ve had people really close, take their own lives, and in each case, they didn’t announce it, we were in shock, we asked, why, when you ask why, it’s because you don’t expect it, or need an explanation for the reason the deceased DIDNT say something. Like I said if it helps, awesome. The other day an apple screen popped up, warning that this may be an imposter app, trying to get my information, so I removed the app, waited a day, now I’m going to download it, and see if I get that pop up again.

Angry and Disappointed
What the heck. This app has given me a place to go and be supported because literally no one close to me struggles with what I do. I have multiple chronic illnesses that lead to 3am bathroom breakdowns because I can’t move off the floor because of how dizzy and nauseous I am. This app has given me a place to vent about when that’s happening to try and distract myself and get some support and non-harmful release at 3am when all my friends are sleeping. This app has saved my life on multiple occasions and multiple users have talked me out of s*lf h*rm*ng because of how upset I get about not being able to find any acting jobs near me. If you had to change the minimum age to work with Europe’s new laws, that’s understandable. But instead of deleting and restricting hundreds of thousands of people from sometimes their ONLY support mechanism, maybe you should’ve adding a feature to ask if TalkLife can access your location in order to make sure you’re above minimum age for those country’s laws. Now you’ve taken away pretty much my only dang support system because you had to change your WHOLE policy for EVERYONE.

They don't care about your health. They don't care about you at all or any of their users and never will. They sure like to talk this big talk saying they do, but it's all lies and their actions prove it. They've completely sold out. Lost their integrity. Let the community become a cesspool for toxicity. They are literally making millions off of enabling millions of mentally ill people and pitting them against eachother. There is no real justice or moderation here. If you need help and post you WILL be attacked and if you stand up for yourself you'll get banned. You could have spent hundreds of dollars on their stupid app hoping you'll get support and care and love and friends. You might get that but you will always get more toxicity and abuse from the users. And if you make good friends well they'll ban you at the drop of a hat for something they dont care to look into and all your money? all your new cyber friend? poof. gone.

I love talkLife!
This is a really great app for people struggling with mental health issues and a great place for anyone to make friends in general.
The only reason I gave the app 3 stars instead of five is because I deleted my account hoping to just create a new one afterwards and I tried to create a new account using the same email and it kept saying “this email has already been used” which is weird because I tried logging back into my already deleted account and it said “this user does not exist”. So it let me delete my account but I can’t ever log back in or make another one on the same email.
That’s something they need to work out because it would be a real shame to never be able to use the app again on the only email I have. Otherwise i’d definitely give the app a five star rating.

Don’t trust the “Heroes” on here
I had this app for a few days (just because I heard Vent was dying out and this app was its supposed replacement). Well, I wrote a simple post about 5 days in to having this app. All I said was, “I do have plans.”
A “Hero” asked me what those plans were. I told the truth, was honest and genuine, and expressed that I want to reclaim the very first car I ever had - a Pontiac Firebird. And once reclaimed, I would take my deadbeat father for a drive in it and tell him how I really felt about my childhood.
So, this “Hero” on TalkLife proceeded to call my idea “tash.” Needless to say, I stood up for myself. And eventually, her and I squashed the beef. And when I ushered a formal apology, she “lol’d” at me.
I snapped. How dare you laugh at me when I try to be civil during something YOU brought to fruition. You didn’t have to pry into my personal business. I stood my ground. Next thing I know, my post is completely gone as well as any trace of her account. Still don’t know who she was, but if YOU get this app, apparently you have to watch what you say…

Worth trying, but has creeps
It’s definitely more of an attention-seeking app than a support-finding app, BUT if you come with good intentions and a willingness to block all the creepy, persistent men, then you’ll definitely find the support you need, if only in small quantities here and there throughout the week.
The app is a thousand times better if you make friends, and you do tend to see the same people around a lot if you’re active enough - so be on good behavior, be genuine, be supportive when you’re capable, and you’ll make friends in no time.
On that note, it’s important to be aware of the inappropriate users. All apps like this have creeps, and they prey on vulnerable people who are looking for support. If you get this app, be vigilant. Check people’s profiles for red flags, enforce your boundaries in DMs, and try changing your DM settings so that only people you trust can message you.

The app was ok
There was cyber bullying and it did not gave me a good experience. I have learned that people may experience the same thing, but the other could be really toxic and think that what they had said is okay. I was told that I’m not allowed to post and complain, even though I was venting and overwhelmed. They had jumped to conclusions that I didn’t do anything about my situation and instead complain about it, even though I have been doing something and just wanted to vent. I understand that anywhere, there are gonna be like that, but I don’t think they get the point of this app. I thought it was meant to support each other not tear each other down. I may have been immature also in my part. I was only trying to make them see the bigger picture. And the more she provoked me the more irritated I got. But I think I’m gonna go look for different apps.

Prejudiced App, with One Critical Flaw.
TalkLife is an app that has been shown to be a great tool for bringing together many different people across varied demographics. The anti-bullying rule seems like a good idea from the surface, although it has one absolutely critical flaw: it allows a safe space for everyone, while turning a blind eye towards straight white men in DIRE need of a safe space where solidarity within their own identity is accepted and self worth is encouraged within a world where they have been led to believe that they are the definition of evil at birth. If you try looking up “straight white men” on the app, you will find that the vast majority of posts involve men who are seeking help ending up bullied and without respite. This does absolutely nothing other than further harm and destroy the minds of these men, driving them further and further into isolation, underhandedly contributing to acts of mass violence portrayed by straight white men, perpetuating the cycle. This app needs fixed.

So many glitches
I have been a member of this app for more than 3 years now and it’s helped me when I really needed it most of the time. But for some reason ever since I got the app it’s always had glitches and problems that take forever to get fixed and once they do new ones just come up. I just downloaded this app again because I’m in desperate need of help since I’m on a medication break and I can’t even comment on posts because they literally just wont publish or load. How are we supposed to help each other or receive help if we can’t even communicate with each other?
Also, I just want to warn that sometimes this app can be more triggering than helpful to people with mental illness. I got in a very negative headspace to the point where that app was just adding to the negative vibes around me. But it’s different for everyone and every situation.
