somedud3,
GREAT STORY- but the bugs ruin it
Love the game, love the story, and it keeps me captivated and it's so fun solving these puzzles the game throws at you. I love when a mobile game doesn't throw itself into the expectation of the rest of mobile games and has strong storylines, a great 3D world to explore and has a message! (No offense to literally 99% of mobile games) but I just wish I could learn what that message is.

The game falls SUPER short with bugs, I haven't really noticed the bugs that everyone else was commenting on (maybe I downloaded it after a bug update) BUT I have had some nasty occurrences with graphics freaking out and the worst one of all... I can't finish the game. I got lost at a puzzle about 1/2 through the game and so I decided to take a break and come back tomorrow. Well the game saved my spot and what resources I had used but not the amount of "substance" I had saved, a crucial part to progressing. Now the only way for me to continue is by restarting the ENTIRE game. Yeah, there isn't even an option to restart the level. Pretty sad about losing all my progress just because of a small bug. Hopefully this gets fixed or at least they add a restart level/chapter option. Probably won't finish it now, unfortunately, but excited to watch playthroughs! Looks fun, definitely recommend if they release some good patches!
TMBRMECH,
Fun game, but 1 BIG gripe
It’s an interesting game, reminds me a bit of portal. The puzzles are fun. I just have 1 gripe, and a big one at that. The lack of direction is horrendous. Example: near the beginning of the game you’re told to escape through the train station, but it’s locked down. You’re told to “find an alternate route.” How do you do this? You take a picture of a specific monitor on a wall filled with more monitors and the adjacent wall has a few monitors too. There’s no indication that this is what you’re supposed to do. Not only that, these monitors are somewhat blurry so you can’t exactly read what it says. Taking pictures of anything else will result in either saying “you can’t move through there” or telling you in various ways that she doesn’t know what you’re trying to show her and that she can’t help. The issue is that if you don’t take a picture of anything for a couple of minutes she’ll tell you to take a picture to ask for help, yet the only time you’ll get a real response from her is when you take a picture of where you’re actually supposed to take one in order to progress through the game.
mskiwiann,
Great game but extremely irritating glitches.
Love the storyline! It definitely pulled me in and I could not stop playing! The controls are a bit off but I adapted. However, I literally fell through the floor and randomly ended up back in a previous part of the building. I took the time to get back to where the story was progressing. Then I got stuck in a spot I couldn’t move out of. I decided to restart the game and lost all my progress. Once again, I put in the effort to catch back up. I tried again, this time checking if I could manually save somehow or if I had to reach the next chapter, like a checkpoint. I made some decent progress considering I had mastered each puzzle from repeatedly completing them. But, of course, I got caught up in another glitch and crossed my fingers that my progression wasn’t wasted. Unfortunately upon restarting, I was back at the original checkpoint and I just turned it off. It really is fun to play! But to have to replay it over and over for a little more progress and only then to lose it all because of a game error…
Tommy#25,
This game could be so much better
I almost gave it 3 stars because it has some real issues but in the end it is still a fun game. The comparisons to Portal are kind of weak; it’s a very different game. It runs great on my iPad Pro but suffers in performance and frame rate on my Apple TV(where I would prefer to play). I definitely recommend using a controller. The voice acting is the best of any game on the App Store, hands down. It is almost console quality. It isn’t without flaws though. Many parts of the game are not intuitively built and left me wondering what to do. I had to reference the only available walkthrough since the game literally just came out. That it’s really frustrating and is much more than just a difficulty issue. It has a quest guide but it’s flawed and sometimes doesn’t give enough information or gets stuck telling you to do things you already did. The story is pretty interesting if not a little predictable. It’s a short game that can be finished in about 2-3 hours. I definitely recommend it but maybe wait until it’s updated. A lot.
MurcielagoZhou,
A quite engaging game
The engagement of the game is amazing. You have no idea what is happening in the beginning, the same as the character you’re role playing. With the guidance from the AI and the female character, you started to understand what’s going on and what shall you do. The game started to show the charming after the new employee training. It’s really fun and need some thinking.

I love the narrative of the game being told by the people via the phone and the funny dialog. The way for the game to provide hint is also one of a kind, it feels really nature and helpful.

There’re a couple drawbacks are pretty critical. The FPS is really unstable even on my 11 inch iPad Pro. In the beginning sequence, I guess it’s only ~ 20 FPS. I can’t image how bad it can be on lower end devices. Another is there’s no visual hint or anything even for the beginner. I ended up walk back and force on the same floor to find out the clues. Especially in the early day that you’re not yet get used to send photos to that female character for help. That last one is control, besides on typo for which Xbox controller button to do what, the accuracy of placing objects in the game is a nightmare as well. Somethings it feels really frustrating especially in tight rooms.

All things considered, this is still a really engaging game with great story telling. It’s worth your time playing as long as your device is good enough.
cryogenicGardener,
Story's great but...
Let's start with controls. (I played on a tablet) You move very slowly. Well... you walk slow yes but looking around is more of a labor then a simple look. Imagine if, instead of turning your head, you had to turn your whole body and you're in a wheelchair.

Now, I encountered what I'm certain is a huge bug. Oh yeah uh... spoilers. During the last mirror puzzle on the third cell, I got the laser to the mirror that points it up through the scaffolding, but it wouldn't reflect. None of the mirrors you can place direct light up, so I was stuck. I tried soft resetting, then hard resetting, I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and it still wouldn't reflect the laser. I can't finish the game and I'm literally so close. 😭😭

Another thing that might be nit-picky is reclaimable objects. They blend in with the environment and if you don't already know what you're looking for, you can wander around for a long time. Your only indication is the reticule changing, but that's delayed so you can gloss right over important things. I think a simple bright colored outline would do, or maybe a shiny effect (similar to the bradwellium) applied to it.

Basically, the only thing that kept me going through the game was the story, but I can't even do that so.... there's no point. Save yourself the disappointment and don't bother. It's more worth your effort to watch someone else play it online.
a wide bench,
Underrated
Would love to see more games of this type on arcade! I loved getting to explore a new world while solving puzzles along the way. I will admit that at times I had some serious concerns that the game was broken, especially towards the end. I read buggy reviews about this game before I downloaded, so when I couldn’t move past a certain puzzle I thought that perhaps it was the game and not my lack of puzzle expertise. But sure enough, I beat the game with basically no issues that other players mentioned. Would only improve the controls, they are a bit jerky but other than that awesome game *5/5

**Tip: When you get to the mirrors if the light dips into the ground the puzzle can’t be completed, don’t waste your time like I did trying to reflect a light that was vaguely there, just raise the light**
L1mune,
I love this game
I’m honestly more disappointed with the bad reviews for this game. I absolutely love this game, and it doesn’t deserve and overall 3.2 star rating. I admit there are problems like the graphics and saving can be confusing. But, the puzzles are really fun and although I’ll be searching for a while for substance, it’s a really amazing feeling when I finally find it, and probably my favorite part, the voice acting is AMMAZING and the way they set up your character, I actually felt like I was the character or I kinda felt like I actually knew and was really talking with Amber. And the sense of mystery is amazing, I really hope the developers make more games like this and can work out the kinks. But none the less I love this game and it’s definitely in my top 5 list of Apple Arcade.
so pro to the go pro,
Best experience ever
‼️➡️READ BOOK TO SAVE PROGRESS⬅️‼️The puzzles at the start of the game made sense perfect sense when the ground fell and I went to train station I was lost and it wanted me to find lift status I found it but I took a picture of the wrong screen so here I am wasting time (it’s my fault) so I Think about it again then I scan all the screens eventually I go downstairs and to the employee she says get an ID so I get and ID she gets me a guide and smp and brrrrrrr a few moments later...
I was stuck in the celebration room stairs boom the plank thing and bam I’m on the green part
You need take photo door she close it and walk and then I’m all like how do I get the curve price man and then I’m at small core and then big and then huge and then substance core and bing bang boom game over I win
BCook128,
Eh.
This game has potential but feels unfinished. Horrible controls with camera panning so slow you forget what you’re panning to by the time it gets there. The “helper” asks for pictures of where you are because “she wants to help” but pretty much any time you send one, she makes some snarky comment about it being a nice picture but she doesn’t know what you need help with. The only time she does have any advice is when you already know what to do. This game also has a lot of dead ends which makes it unnecessarily difficult to get to the puzzles. That combined with the slow, awkward panning makes moving around something to dread rather than a chance to explore. That part isn’t fun at all. More than once, I had to fight the urge to just close the game out of boredom or disgust at having to wait another 10 full seconds for the camera to pan over an area of 180 degrees. Laborious is probably the best description I could give. Until this is fixed, it’s a no from me dawg.
