A must!!

If you are learning any language you should absolutely add this to your learning tool kit. I use drops for vocal and speaking and it works great but I am getting even more out of my other learning apps thanks to the reading and writing practice this app offers. I use them to practice my Japanese.

Great selection of hard-to-find languages!

I downloaded this app because I can practice the Burmese and Georgian writing systems - 2 languages I couldn’t find writing practice for on any other app. There are many other hard-to-find languages here. As an aspiring polyglot, I say this is a huge plus. I do wish Persian Farsi would be added, and I wish the app was built natively for iPad. But if you’re looking for an obscure language you’re having trouble finding on other apps I definitely recommend checking here. The more commonly studied languages are available as well.

Recognition tolerance has improved

Initially I had a lot of trouble with the structures of the handwriting recognition, but it seems much better now. having multiple languages in one app is nice. The essentials all seem to be working pretty well now, but there's a lot of extra clicking around that gets tedious and could be eliminated. If I enter a correct answer, don't make me tap next, just go. Or at least let me tap anywhere to advance instead of having to target the button, which takes more effort. when you're doing it every couple seconds it gets old fast.

Nice app - some annoying features

Small font and low contrast colors hard to read for older eyes.
Easy to delete progress and have to start over (logout or click refresh by mistake)
Dictionary has nice categories and pronunciation but not translation. E.g. a list foods in Thai with pronunciation is not that useful.
Reported these in feedback but no answer so far.
Several feedback channels are provided. I tried all that I could find.

I love this app with all my heart

My parent are from Laos and I’ve been struggling to find a lesson on Laos like writing. I also want my parent to be proud of me learning their language and I came across this and I don’t know how much I can say. The skills are just easy and that’s what I want.

Solid, useful

While definitely not sufficient alone, this app is excellent for practicing non-roman letters and alphabets. I’ve found it to be an excellent companion to apps like Drops and Duolingo, which never really help you with individual letters much. The interface is clunky and the drawing isn’t as responsive as I’d like, but this is still a worthy download for sure.

I used for Russian and Thai so far.

Been looking for an app like this

Only just started using the app, but I have been looking for an app like this to help me learn Thai and also Urdu. I am excited to see that they offer both of these. The interface and practices are easy to do and follow, so far so good. Will come back at change rating and update after more use.

This app is awesome!!!

So I LOVE learn thai with ling, so when I eat lucky enough to hear about write me, I had to try it write (haha ;) ) away. I'm using it right now to learn to write thai script but I can't wait to check out all the other languages too. I've already learned four Thai letters!!

Arabic Alphabet Severely Lacking

They go over the base forms of each letter of the arabic alphabet, but they don’t teach you the diacritics or the various forms of the letters. I thought by buying the $9 premium version, that I would unlock these features and the ability to practice writing full words, but no.

Other than maybe reciting the alphabet from memory, this app will not help you learn to read or write arabic at all.

Worth the free version, but don’t waste your money like i did.

Some questions.

Overall the lessons are good, i am learning Thai.

And my question is when i reach the Thai lesson 18, it stops loading more lessons and from what i understand is that Thai lessons has 74 all together?

If that is the case…why is not uploading after lesson 18?

I rated this a 3 because of the fact that I can’t move on to the next lesson higher than 18.
I also rated this a 3 because of its easy to learn and fun to do , i highly recommend this as a fun way to slowly learning new languages.
