Get the official Barbell Medicine app on iPhones and iPads to get access to all of the Barbell Medicine templates and content in an easy-to-use format.

Through the app, users can access all of Barbell Medicine's free training templates, like The Bridge, The Beginner Prescription, the Peaking Templates, and the Free Strongman Template along with their associated e-books.

All of our other templates and associated resources are also available to improve strength, muscle size, endurance, and/or return to exercise from injury. Additionally, a 1-week free trial is available for all templates, and if you're new to training a quick questionnaire can help you determine where to start.

At Barbell Medicine, we believe that data is useful for making decisions about training and health. The app lets users store and browse data from an unlimited number of sessions in your history, which will sync across your iOS devices, including:
• Exercise selection, with over 1,000 built-in exercises to choose from
• Weight, reps, and RPE (Rating of Perceived Exertion)
• Training duration and rest periods
• Maximum weight lifted for any given exercise, up to 10 reps, including 1-rep max
• Exercise volume, like number of reps executed or minutes performed in a week
• Fastest average pace and distance traveled for endurance-related exercises
• Body weight, BMI (Body Mass Index), and waist circumference
• Communicate with your Barbell Medicine coach via in-app messaging
• Store your exercise videos, including uploading them to the cloud for your Barbell Medicine coach to review

The day has arrived!
Best templates in the game! Highly recommend to anyone. All the templates that I’ve purchased through barbellmedicine dot com showed up automatically by using my same email at login! Very excited to start using the app (goodbye spreadsheets)

Great content - decent application
The barbell medicine group has some of the best general exercise advice / plans / programs there is. The depth of the info in the programs including the PDFs is pretty exceptional.

The only reason I gave it four stars is the app is still somewhat unintuitive for some routine actions. For example the only way I’ve found to preview upcoming workouts is to go to the purchases page and look at the full calendar of workouts. Would be nice to have at least a weekly schedule tab with all upcoming workouts not just the next workout which is the only option currently.

While pretty exceptional in its functionality I find the workout journal to be a bit cluttered and substituting exercises is not as simple as it could be.

Great app for BBM followers, needs bug fixes and easier viewing of past workouts
I really like the concept, but if I leave a session unfinished (hitting finished) and return to it (hitting continue program), my workout data for the exercises I’ve completed is empty. There should also be an easier way to view past workouts, as I use those numbers along with how I’m feeling during warmups to pick my top set numbers for the day. In addition I’ve faced some intermittent scrolling problem on some of the home pages that I’ve only been able to fix by closing and restarting the app.

Good, but missing latest templates
The ability to sync to my already purchased programs is great! The interface is easy to manage and I like the tools and features built into the app. With that said, I was disappointed my recently purchased low-fatigue and powerbuilding III Templates were not listed. Also, in my hypertrophy II template, changing the exercise has to be done in the session. I am not able to select exercises the same way as the excel sheets.

Pretty good
Overall I enjoy the app. There’s one issue, not sure if this is a bug or if it’s meant to be this way. I know the strength 3 program has customizable exercises. But when you go to the program, it has the press programmed into every day and sometimes multiple times per day. I have to keep going to the template on the web to get the right days work.

Great App but Would Love Exercise Selection section
I enjoy using the App versus the excel spreadsheet, with the exception of the Workout Selection section. I wish that the program templates would remember my swap selections for each workout and carry it through week to week, would prevent me having to print off the excel overview to pair with the app. Maybe with future development!

Enjoying it so far
I enjoy using the app so far given how long it’s been released. Been currently using it as a custom log tracker for my own program and the only gripe I have is the option to log MYO-Reps in one line.

Nice looking and feature rich app
BBM did a nice job with this app. It syncs with the website so it knows what templates you have already bought and it is very easy to use. Only complaint is the newer templates (I.e. low fatigue) aren’t available yet but I understand they are working on adding them.

Nice App, but missing features.
I like that all my prior templates sync to the app, but it’s missing a few features. -Weight calculator -Apple health integration -Ability to see prior workout’s weights and RPE rating For that reason, I will continue logging my workouts in the Strong app. But would love to make the switch once these changes have been implemented!

Much better than using mobile Excel!
The app is very well designed. It simplifies logging—no need to run clunky mobile Excel.

A couple things I think could be improved:

1.) Exercise selection: changing exercise preferences, and having them save for all workouts in a given block, is not intuitive.

2.) Templates in the app do not match the original Excel templates. This isn’t a big deal for me, as the app templates are enhancements.

3.) It would be nice to save modified versions of base templates.
