HOW IT WORKS

1. Go to the gym and open up Sheiko Gold. Answer a few questions about last night’s sleep, your mood, motivation, soreness, and so on. 
2. Sheiko Gold will analyze your responses relative to previous responses, past training history, goals you’re working towards, and other relevant factors. The AI will then create the best workout for that moment to move you forwards.
3. With the right workout based on your past, present, and future in hand, it’s time to get to it. Log the workout in real-time as you go. Some small adjustments might be made to the weights and number of sets depending on how things go. You can also ask for exercise substitutions if some surprises come up and the AI will determine something suitable for you.
4. Save when finished. Rest up. Then repeat the process when you’re ready to workout again.

WHY IT WORKS

This is the really simple part. It works because it’s like having a coach by your side while you train who makes sure you get the right dose of training stress at the right time. Sometimes you get pushed to do a little more and sometimes you get off easy.

HEALTH

Sheiko Gold also uses Apple’s Health app to read heart rate data so you can monitor your recovery between sets.

SUBSCRIPTIONS

The Basic Subscription is available for $19.99/month, $89.99/6 months, or $119.99/year (prices may vary by territory) within the Sheiko Gold mobile application.

You can subscribe and pay through your iTunes account. Payment will be charged to iTunes account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription will automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renew may be turned off after purchase by going to the 'Manage Subscription' page in settings. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable. The subscription will renew at the same cost.

Absolutely Fantastic !!!
First let me state, I am NOT a competitive powerlifter. But I am a competitive amateur athlete that has made a living as a full-time personal trainer and coach for the last 25 years. This app has everything a serious lifter could ask for to quantify their training. HRV, RHR and other metrics to assess athlete readiness before and RPE during the workout vs. loads, reps and sets; all combine to create an impulse response model to training that is the best I have seen for the gym. You can add your own exercises to your app’s library and the entries are very specific and detailed. You can add velocity accelerometer data that synchs to the app. And this is just scratching the surface. The thought that went into this is simply outstanding. But this app isn’t for everyone. This app is for athletes that value optimizing and quantifying training loads and are students of the craft. It will take about 30 days of entries before the AI in the app becomes helpful and you must enter the data, all of it. If you can’t do that you’re wasting your time. But for the focused and disciplined this app delivers!

Easily the best training app I’ve used
I really love this app. Quick background, I’m an amateur power lifter who was looking for a program that adjusted for me and was easy to use. I was already familiar with the Sheiko style of programming (focus on the big lifts in the 65%-85% range with frequent training) so gravitate to this app.

I’ve used it for two months now. The first month is an observation period where you enter what you’re already doing and it learns from you. Once that is through then it programs for you. It will adjust mid session if things are too hard or too easy so each time you train it’s based off how you are feeling.

The app is well done and is really simple to use. Besides giving you your daily training it will track your readiness and fatigue level. It’s simple to use and very intuitive. It’s continually updated and you can tell that the author really cares about it. Highly recommended.

Amazing app and more amazing dev
This is truly one of the best fitness apps that Ive used and if you are into powerlifting you owe it to yourself to at least give this a shot. Sheiko is one of the few training methodologies I had yet to try and the results so far have been phenomenal. I feel like the app is pushing me just hard enough to make progress but not too hard that I burn out and injure myself. I always leave the gym feeling accomplished. The developer is quite possibly one of the best around. Always active on the Facebook group and pretty much pushing out weekly updates for bug fixes and new features. Really excited to see what else is in store for this app. I don’t see myself going back to training without it any time soon.

(This rating only refers to the initial observation period) I purchased the regular Sheiko app way back and used it for nearly 2 years and it produced the greatest strength gains I ever saw. A few years off due to hernia surgeries, motorcycle falls, etc... I thought I’ll try the AI version. During the observation period Boris would chime in to advise load changes, or even give me a complete routine - until today, when I updated the app. Those features have been removed it appears. Otherwise would be 5 stars - the same as the standard version.

Changing the game
Absolute game changer. The developer did an outstanding job meshing the training ideologies of Boris himself with the data capabilities of a smart app (as well as a great user experience).

The biggest pro for this app is how closely tied the developer is with the users’ feedback. He takes the time to respond meaningfully to multiple posts daily to the forum pages, which gives the users a better understanding of the app AND means that each version is better than the next.

Pricing is beyond fair. And not gonna give away any spoilers but BIG THINGS ARE COMING with Sheiko Gold!

Only caveat is that this is an app for powerlifters or for individuals looking to train squat, bench, and deadlift. This is very clear from the app description. Use Robert’s other app, Strongur, for other lifting related goals.

Developer Continues To Expand Features
Developer is extremely responsive to feedback and feature requests. Since the initial release there have been countless improvements. The most recent being the addition of a PPL hypertrophy style program for off-season training that has you working in higher rep ranges, and is a nice change of pace.

Love it so far!
I love the flexibility this app gives me. That feature is probably the number one reason I’d recommend it. My schedule varies and so following a rigid, x-day per week program where you get everything a week or a month ahead of time just doesn’t work, or works poorly at best. This figured out volume and fatigue for you so if one week you can lift 4 days, great. If the next its only 3, great.

can we please get an ios 16 permanent widget with the time remaining between lifts?

Also, for non competition lifts, can we get some information on how many sets we should be doing? without this, the next time you do a lift it just makes the number of sets whatever you did last time.

Couldn’t be happier
I’m about half way through my first cycle and could not be happier! Easy to use all the guess work for programming is gone.
The programming is balanced and all ways seems to be right on, I’m looking forward to seeing the results at the end of the year!

Professional, clean and easy to use.

Maybe add more options for the recovery screen. I don’t like being locked in the count down screen. My mind wants to look at the upcoming exercises, not just a running clock

Dk if that feature was intentional, to keep users engaged and focused but yeah that’s how I feel
