Having an online visit couldn’t be easier. Once you download the Blue Cross® Online VisitsSM app and register for an account, you can connect with doctors or therapists wherever it’s convenient for you: at home, in the office or even while traveling.

ONLINE HEALTH CARE OPTIONS

Depending on your plan, you can see a telehealth practitioner for medical, therapy or psychiatry services.

Medical services
• Online doctors are available 24/7 for minor symptoms like sore throats and stuffy noses.
• If they determine that you need a prescription, they can send one to your nearest pharmacy. They can also send visit notes to your primary care physician at your request.
• All of our telemedicine doctors are U.S. board certified.

Therapy services
• See a doctoral-level psychologist or a master’s-level therapist by appointment.
• Therapists include clinical social workers, marriage and family therapists, and professional counselors.
• All are trained in prevention and treatment techniques specific to telemedicine.

Psychiatry services
• Our psychiatrists are online doctors who are also U.S. board certified.
• They’re available by appointment and are capable of treating a variety of behavioral health conditions.

AMAZING!!!!! Thank you Blue Cross Blue Shield!!!
I have had BCBS insurance nearly my entire life and they have kept me protected with ALL my medical conditions. Having autoimmune disease is life changing....and every medical professional I have seen is all thanks to Blue Cross. I was able to get a life saving surgery thanks to BCBS. In the past 4 years, my plan significantly changed and even then, I still receive 100% quality healthcare. This is a blessing and I am so thankful everyday to be a subscriber of Blue Cross. TODAY I was given the gift of telemedicine thanks to BCBS. I had no idea my plan would even participate with telemedicine....but after a few hours contemplating if I should go to the emergency room or not, I tried downloading this app. With in 5 minutes....YES FIVE MINUTES, I was provided with outstandingly incredible healthcare and medical advice from an amazing medical doctor. My experience today was 5 stars and beyond awesome!!! Thanks to Blue Cross, I was able to avoid having to sit in the Emergency Room for hours on end as well as I didn’t have to occupy an ER bed either — which left a spot open for someone else with a life threatening medical emergency or COVID19 complication. THANK YOU BLUE CROSS BLUE SHIELD and thank you to my telehealth doctor, Nina for all of your help today. So Far, So Good!
I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to Blue Cross for now offering this service to us! As a teacher, I am constantly getting sick with something throughout the school year. Luckily for me, the major illness that I get quite a few times a year are sinus infections. As my sinuses have been horrible this summer, I came down with my usual sinus infection in the cheek with the swelling and pain and it is not fun. The absolute LAST thing I want to do when I have one is sit in a crowded Urgent Care or doctor’s office in agony, and now I no longer have to. I really like the fact that you can pick the physician you want to see and you can view their information! I was seen by Dr. Jill Weber and would highly recommend her! She informed me that I should not take ibuprofen with the steroids I typically receive with my sinus infections. No other doctor has ever informed me of this! I would give this app and service 10 stars if I could! Keep up the good work! First time using it and 100% satisfied!

Overjoyed!!!
I am overjoyed with the fact that I do not have to wait for hours on end at a doctors office in a room filled with patients who are just as annoyed as I am with the wait even with a scheduled appt! Not to mention that my insurance pays for the online visits so I do not have anything out-of-pocket/copayment. I’ve only used the Medical doctors but the three times I have used the online visit app I have been more than satisfied with both the knowledgeable physicians and their great

More difficulty getting to an actual doctors office or they are limited on their mobility.
I opt to wait a little while longer than normal for Dr. Horner because she is so personally, knowledgeable and speaks to me in medical terms that non-medical people can understand and grasp. I highly recommend using this app! Especially if you’re not able to get to a doctors office so easily!

Susan was incredible!!!!
I was completely blown away by Susan Hendrickson. She is incredibly knowledgeable and used terms and words in a way that I just “got” what she was saying. We worked together to figure out that it wasn’t as bad of a cut as I originally thought, which is great! She also told me numerous signs to look for as the hematoma is draining and assured me not to worry that the injury is getting worse just because of that. In that line, she also explained that if redness or pain presents then I need to seek further help. She was just a momma bear like me and understand exactly where I was and what I needed to hear for reassurance. Thank you so much for your amazing doctoral staff and them being able to meet people’s needs in their own home.

Quick and easy
Had the flu and later developed bad sinus infection. Been to urgent care 3 times since inception of flu. On the third visit I told the PA my sinuses were getting infected. I told him my daughter, an ICU nurse had the flu and al my symptoms. She had a very bad sinus infection post flu. Still, he would not put me on antibiotics. I’m a 57 year old man and healthy. My sinuses have always be my only real health issue, so I know my body. My teeth even hurt which is a pretty good indicator.
The doctor on line listened to me and I appreciate him understanding that people do know their own health issue. Off the the pharmacy to get my antibiotics and get feeling better and ridding myself of the cold sweats.

Helpful Doc but
I had previously selected a different doctor and while waiting to meet with her I was alerted she was no longer available and was diverted to another doctor. While I appreciate the approach I intentionally picked a woman of color to speak too because of the nature of my issue. The doctor that ended up helping me was fantastic but it was a man which made me feel a little more awkward about discussing my issue. I would just say in the future it may be helpful to the patients to ask if they have a preference of doctor because of comfortability level. Some issues are hard to talk about if you don’t feel the doctor can relate. I had a feminine issue and would’ve preferred a female doctor because of it.

First time user
I was pleased with the doctor and her diagnosis. However, I am not pleased with the fact that after waiting 1.5 hours to speak with a doctor, I was disconnected with the message that the doctor was no longer available. I had to start all over from the beginning. It took me another 1.5 hours of waiting before getting to speak with a doctor. I could have gone to the urgent care facility and been home in the time it took me to get through on telemedicine. For a first time user, I don’t know if it is worth the time and trouble.

Never Visit an Urgent Care Again!
First time using a Teledoc and it may have been the best experience EVER with a medical professional. I am sure a lot had to do with the doctor herself but the tech was easy the follow up lightening speed, highly recommend. The doctor was personable , highly empathetic, professional and took her time. She didn’t rush into the ‘room’ and rush out! Today the wait was long but I was relaxing in my own home rather than sitting in a crowded uncomfortable waiting room with a group of other sick people.

Better than waiting in a Doctor’s office with sick coughing people.
My employer sent this to out as an alternative to visiting the doctor’s office. It is easy to use. Yes depending on the time of day you can wait 2-3 hours but isn’t that better than waiting at a crowded doctors office where the nurse slides the glass see through window in your face and tells you to have a seat in the waiting room full of symptomatic people! Take a walk on the wild side and try it! You’ll be glad you did. Oh and Dr. Zubricky is amazing!

Call was canceled in the middle of video chat
I have an earache and was assigned to a doctor named Cesar Sturla who was completely unprofessional. I could tell he did not want to work today, he had his hand on his head as if doing his job was a bore. He did not greet me nor did he ask what was going on. As soon as I told him that I had an earache he ended the telemedicine call. I am not sure if he was racist, overworked, or just plain rude but I believe he should have called off today. When someone is sick they do not need someone who doesn’t care for their patients to help them. He doesn’t need to be apart of this amazing app. I ended up seeing another doctor who was compassionate and listened to watch was actually wrong with me.
