I am a Latin teacher (also bilingual in English & Spanish) and very demanding of the learning tools I employ.
I recently started studying French and was shocked by the poor quality of apps I bought or downloaded.
However, this dictionary app is outstanding & I recommend it to everyone.
It is easy to use & the translations are accurate.
I'd give it a "10"!

A great reference and superb interface
Easy to use and intuitive, this dictionary is a great tool on the go. I love the interface, which puts the search box at the top and begins showing results with the first letter typed. You can also browse for words, and the app takes full advantage of the iPad's beautifully fluid presentation. Some words from classic French literature haven't been available, but on the whole, this is a terrific resource that now goes with me everywhere, regardless of whether or not I have an Internet connection. I only wish I could type in the occasional phrase, as with the iGoogle translator. Perhaps that will be a companion app. Hats off to the development team for this excellent French/English dictionary, and keep up the good work!

Needs a bit of tweaking
Dictionary is pretty good for an online app. I purchased the (computerized) "voice" which pronounces the words. That's a work in progress. In less than half an hour, it pronounced at least one word using incorrect sounds. (Pronouncing substitute letters). Can live with that, but what grates on the ears, is that the computer does not distinguish what it reads. So abbreviations ( like Qqn, or Qqchapronounced as though they are words. The computer has not

Awesome dictionary!
Love it because it doesn't require an intertet connection to function and yet it has a huge word bank. I've only had a few obscure words not come up in search. The only thing is the sensetivity on some of the buttons needs work. But definitely one of the best dictionaries out there!

Not Perfect, But Still Five-Star
This app has a very rich list of words, and helpful phrases for most of them. The voice addition is, to my mind, worth it.
The main drawback is that for many words there are multiple and sometimes widely different meanings, and no guide to what common usage is. But in conjunction with other apps, it is invaluable for learning le français.
