For my work, sometimes I have to translate difficult documents and this has been one of the best online dictionaries for high-level technical words.

Voices in Spanish I purchased are the stock Siri English pronunciation it appears.

As promised we went back up to five stars in the ratings! I can’t wait for all of the other languages to have iPhone X support but I remember your release schedules I’m sure they will be out shortly.
FYI, not a huge deal but that audio issue still exists in the French dictionary where if you’re listening to a song and you come into the application and it has to launch for the first time it stops playing the music, needless to say as a man with tinnitus who frequently has to listen to ambient music it’s a bit tedious always have to swipe down and unpause my music, especially on the iPhone X although reachability helps.
Also, I noticed in Italian that you can’t actually change the speed of the voice or rather you can but you have to leave the app and come back for it to take affect so maybe a small issue in the preview there.
Thanks a lot guys I love your work, let me know if you ever want some iOS help, I’ll be happy to help out as I’ve been developing for a decade.

Easy to use!
I've marked four stars instead of five because I haven't found the word I want more often than seems reasonable. But when the right word is there, the dictionary supplies a wide selection of definitions to choose from!

I use this dictionary a lot. I have a Spanish wife and there are times when we both need to find the best word to describe our thoughts or feelings.

Not useful for high level of Spanish reading
I live and work all in Spanish. This dictionary leaves much to be desired. Good for a high school or college student who needs easy access. There is no reason they couldn’t add a couple hundred words every time they update their app. After all, ow there are ads.

I used to use these great apps for a long time, but since the new updates 2 of my dictionaries keep crashing on me. I'm on 9.0.2. Please help me using the app like before and fix these bugs!

Translated words listed alphabetically
This dictionary has a substantial data base which allows it to work well as a stand-alone dictionary even when you don’t have access to the Internet. On the basis of this, I feel that for a couple of bucks it’s a good buy. My only serious objection is that translated words are listed alphabetically instead of in order of the most likely correct translation. If you’re not careful this can lead to some serious mistakes. For instance if you look up the English word ‘dog’, you’ll get ten Spanish equivalents. The first word in the list is ‘barrilete’. This is the Spanish word for those cylindrical pegs that wood workers use as stops for securing items that are being clamped to a work bench. It is therefore a correct translation of the word dog. However, it is a very specialized use of the word that many native speakers of English are not familiar with. The word for the four-legged critter that barks and wags its tail is ‘perro’, but that shows up in the sixth place on a list of ten words. The tenth word in the list is ‘zorro’. This is the word for fox, and I have never heard a Spanish speaker use it to refer to a dog. Use this app with caution.
