DigiStix Drummer is an AUv3 compatible drum machine / sampler plugin for your favourite DAW.
The program has a host of features which allow you to sample your own drumkits and trigger them either using a host application via MIDI or using the inbuilt pattern and song editor which automatically syncs tempo with your DAW.
There as so many great sources of professionally recorded drum kits these days which can be imported into DigiStix allowing you to build a catalog of your favourite sounds. Alternatively use the built in sampler to record your very own kits.
DigiStix has 16 assignable pads which can be quickly mapped to individual drum samples or recordings. Each pad has it's own volume level, panning, reverb, delay, reverse and sample length settings. You can assign each pad to a mute group which allow for instance a closed hi-hat to mute an open high hat etc. Each pad can be assigned a one shot or looped sample. This enables you to import pre-looped samples at a specified BPM and have them play when a pad is pressed. You can also import up to 3 samples per pad and use in multi-sample mode which allows different velocity levels to trigger different pads etc.
One great feature of DigiStix is the ability to none destructively assign samples from different kits to the pads for live performance and song creation. We also provide an intelligent melodic mapping mode which maps selected samples over all 16 pads tuned to a selected key and scale.
The inbuilt sequencer allows patterns of up to 64 beats in length. Each pattern can have it's own time signature allowing complex arrangements can be constructed. Up to 256 patterns can be chained together to make a soung which are saved independently of the kits. The pattern editor also allows you to enter 1/4, 1/8 and 1/16th note triplets as well as reverse sample and accented notes. We provide easy velocity editing with 'draw in' drum rolls etc.
DigiStix also features a 16 channel mixer, configurable digital delay, reverb, chorus / flanger, bit crunch, overdrive, 8 band EQ and digital filtering options (HP and LP filters).

Workhorse with more work to do
Update to my previous review: due to the developer’s continued efforts (thank you!) this app has become way more than just a drum machine in my workflow. I now use it for all kinds of samples, in addition to the onboard drum samples. So easy and quick to get the sounds I hear in my head onto a pad and start playing/sequencing. The multi-layer sample features work great. If there is anything missing it is the UI to see the layers after import (unless I am missing something).
Feature request: round robin sample playback is nice, but I use random playback way more frequently. Any chance you could add random option?

Sneaky Dope Beatmaker
Just bought this today and it is flames! I plan on doing a full review if this on my channel next week. Question developers? Any plans to evolve this so it can use your awesome fx as inserts and sends? That function would put this on par or above Beatmaker 3! Having fx inserts on each drum would make for not being able to export to individual tracks and really save a lot of time in iOS daws by having all the drums on one track with the ability to still use fox plugins.

I’ve watched this blossom from its infancy into a superb and extremely useful ios drum app. The dev works quickly at squashing any bugs and has added a ton of useful additions, darn impressive actually. All the apps have a solid and similar design ethos. You know when you are using a quality app because you can dive in and you have some familiarity with certain features and the overall look. I really do like the app design templates, for lack of a better word, with all the 4pockets audio & effects apps. Ok time to play with the newly added auv3 multi out feature! ☮️ edit- please fix the upgrade price it’s more than just buying it outright to digistix 2

AU3 beast. Developer = top notch. It will be a pleasure programming drums now.
One UI request...on a small screen (i.e. - 6s), it’s not possible to display both the sequencer screen on page 2 and the note modification buttons on page 3 (triplets, reverse, fade roll) simultaneously in landscape mode. It would be great if we can latch the note modifier buttons, as a workaround. Turning the screen to portrait mode works in AU3 mode, but is not optimal.

The sounds are incredible...the UI is friendly and it keeps getting updated with better features!
A couple of features would make this app tops...an undo button and a play/record buttons where the pads are. Also, having your last state saved after closing the app would be nice...the app deletes everything after being closed, so make sure you save your beat before closing!

Great app very flexible
Love the app has practically everything you need for creating your own beats and drum kits. There are a couple of workflow road blocks that need improving.
.1 Drumkit Wave form window should reflect the last pad tap and Change for every other pad tap.
.2 Audio Editor: when using Select tool, taping PLAY should play the selected area and not the entire sample. This important when editing and cropping to ensure we get a good start end for playback and crop.

Everything they make is top tier and to me should be the go to suit of Audio-Units to buy for your AU Host of choice. Are vital to AUM users and are well priced.
This drum machine has it all.
The modularity and creative possibilities I have in AUM with the likes of stellar apps such as 4Pockets creative 3 bundle, Atom Piano roll, Chameleon, KB-1 & Flux is really something special.
Visuals bundle is next then Vocalist 1 and each bundle until I have em all. Pokémon!!🤣🤣

Good Stuff
GUI is easy to learn and functions well ..Swing is on point .One thing missing is the ability layer Samples ..Effects sound nice like bit reduction , reverb , distortion, Eq...It did crash a bunch of times from trying to load samples from the drum kit waveform menu but they do load from the pads fine . The included drum kits are kinda weak . Used some of my own kits and it definitely can pack a punch with effects ..Updated my review thanks for the quick response ..keep up the good work

Finally Good Drums for Garage Band
I’m about 30 minute into this app. I always felt Garage Band drums just sucked. Maybe I don’t understand how to use them properly. This app makes it easy to get good samples and adjust their volume with its mixer. Finally I can work on some good sounding drums within GB. Hardest thing to figure out was. Slide up to get to the good stuff.

Perfect drum app for the Auv3 community
This app keeps getting better with every update. I just have one request it’s fairly simple but I’m not if it’s going to happen. I need an attack knob (ADSR) I know there’s a decay knob but no attack knob. The work around would be in audio editing which is to fade in the audio this can be a little annoying sometimes. So please if it’s possible can we get a basic (ADSR) or should I say (A=attack knob)
