I found a bug that cost me a day of my life
For someone like me that tries a hundred times in a level, to get the best possible time, every second counts. I’ll re-do a single level for hours to reduce a second. So the bug/glitch I’m talking about is if you beat a level in under a second, your score will show up as 0. However, if you open that level again, it will reset as a new game, so whatever time you get upon re-opening the level with 0 seconds, will be your actual score. So I had to spend hours and hours trying to beat the levels again, to get my leaderboard back up. I was able to get 2/3 levels back to 0 seconds. If you beat a level with 1 second or more, your time is permanent, and doesn’t get deleted. Why do the developers punish the people who devote their lives to getting the best time on their game? I want my score to be put back to 0 seconds. That’s only fair, and you should fix the bug for the people who love the game enough to try and get the best time.

Intriguing, no-pressure puzzle game
The point of each puzzle is to connect colored dots and fill in all the spaces with connecting lines. That’s it. No time limit, no character in peril, no competition (unless you really want to be on the leaderboard and practice each puzzle over and over). You can pause the timer on a puzzle and come back to it, so it’s great for entertainment when you’re waiting somewhere. You can “buy” a clue with in-game coins, and you get free coins when you check in each day and more if you watch an ad. For a very low price you can get an ad-free version. Remembering that you have to fill in all spaces as well as connect the dots can also be a clue, because sometimes a line connecting two dots can wind around other dots. One question for the developers, though: the game awards “diamonds” for sharing it. What are they for?

Knot Dot
I just came across your game. I play this for a special and logic work out for the brain. Kind of like my visual tracking that I needed to go through after a stroke. But this game is much more fun. But this game is not easy. This game is a workout for your brain…visually, visual tracking visual logically, problem solving. I think any one from 8 to 108 will benefit in multiple brain ways when playing this little masterpiece. If you have a few minutes between meetings, while waiting for you child to come out of school, or wanting a relaxing brain teaser few minutes or a longer time frame. I’ve even played with my grandson where we are both trying to find the correct path together. Whenever we solve one, we both look at each other and say “just one more.”

Great game and fun way to pass time
It has a mix of easy levels and very difficult ones. There were a lot of ads and they did get annoying so I paid for ad free and I am so glad I did! It is worth it for how much I play (daily, right before bed to relax). On that note: the daily challenge for June 22, 2020 level 2 froze every time I solved it. I could not move on to level 3 of the daily challenge. I looked at the leaderboard to see how everyone else did but I got a “no data available” message for it. Could be a glitch? Other than that it has been a great game.
Update (Aug 2020): 2100 levels and the game ended. Please consider creating more levels. I loved playing this game. It helped me relax but also made me think.

Game: 5 ⭐️ ; ad frequency: 1 ⭐️
The game itself is really fun!! It’s genuinely challenging and compelling to play. It’s honestly so difficult, it prevents me from playing too much because I will inevitably get stuck and the forced break usually helps me solve the puzzle when I come back in a few hours. My only complaint is that the ad frequency is absolutely bonkers out of control. If it was an ad after every level, that’d be fine I guess. However, it’s not just that. You get ads in the middle of a level. Sometimes more than one. It’s intolerable. Since it was only $3-4 to pay once to get rid of them, I bit the bullet and paid to remove ads. Grumbled the whole time though. Never seen a game with THAT many ads. So, kind of annoying on that front but, fortunately, the game itself is enjoyable enough to justify the purchase. Alas.

Intrusive ads and app crashes
It’s a nice game for the iPad. But the touch response is too laggy. And there are too many ads, including ad breaks when you’ve just started a game. And many of these ads crash the app, leaving a blank black, or occasionally blank white screen, necessitating an app close and reset, losing any progress you’ve made. I doubt I can play for more than 10 minutes typically before a crash. Cannot recommend unless you like frustration.
Edit: The developers suggested sending them screenshots to identify what they called “bad ads” after crashes. Which is absurd, because pictures of blank screens won’t help them. (They can’t have read what I wrote properly.) I have now switched to Flow Free, which runs much smoother, and where ads NEVER crash the app. It all makes me think the Dot Knot app itself is what’s causing the crashes. Uninstalling.

Great game poor logistics
Many challenging puzzles but illogical operations. If one can’t fill in all squares, the Challenge is aborted and lost - very poor customer management. Why not have a 100 point charge to see the solution and move to the next level? Or a decline button? What Do you lose if I’m aborted? At least 5 ads!! If I am trying a path from one dot and then go to the destination dot you erase the path, Why? Why not allow me to hold a line and start a connecting path from the second dot? For a dot that is surrounded by others there is only one way out, let me make that path, because there is only one way and freeze on a square or hold that line. Your ad breaks every 30 seconds is extremely annoying. All of these add up to that I am ready to delete this app. The bad far out weighs the fun, enjoyment, and challenge. Sorry to see you go. Good app challenge but extremely poor execution.

Good Game But Has A Downside
This game is pretty good and competitive. It has so many levels so you don’t have to end so soon. Plus the timing also brings out the competition to players to test themselves on how fast they can complete the level.
The game is good. However, it does come with a flaw, especially on Mobile.
The swiping is what I’m annoyed with. It is difficult to swipe where you want to go at a fast pace. Like literally, when I try to connect one point to another, the connecting stops and will take more time to just complete that one segment. I try to beat the records but because of the swiping, it’s impossible. I hope you devs can do something about this, otherwise I might not be playing the game anytime soon if this keeps up.

Worse version of a great game
I’ve been playing Flow (and all of its variations) for years now... those games do the same thing and are better in practically every way. The ads are MUCH less intrusive in Flow (and if I remember correctly, you actually get more free levels than you do in this game) and this game just feels worse in the actual puzzles, because it does nothing to try to snap onto where your finger is if you go a little too fast on a corner in the path, so you’re forced to awkwardly backtrack and take extra time to carefully do each turn perfectly. The only mechanic that I think still holds up with this game when it’s compared to Flow are the multi-color points, which I’ve never seen done before and are an interesting idea, for sure. Sadly, it’s not enough to make me want to play this game any longer than I already have. Flow is just... better.

Paid version?
I love playing this game. Sometimes, even on a difficult puzzle, I solve it right away — others are a huge challenge to my brain!
I JUST enjoy doing the puzzles…I don’t care about all the extras, and don’t understand what all the logos mean. (I haven’t found a place where they’re explained/defined, but I really don’t care about any of that - contests, bonuses, etc).
But the ads are making me crazy - not just between games, but DURING a game! Now that I know I enjoy the game, I’d be happy to pay the $3.99. HOWEVER….I see nowhere to do that! It gave me ONE opportunity, but by the time I found my PW, the opportunity was gone.
Obviously, I’m missing something - can someone tell me how to pay for NO ADS?
