Solara called one day after posting the initial review to do some troubleshooting. Very proactive, caught me off guard. Seems like on the initial setup, the app was … overloaded? It’s not entirely clear, but my blood glucose readings are now all up to date, and my healthcare provider accounts are linked, as is Apple Health. There’s still some pretty significant lag when moving between certain screens, but overall I’m liking how the app consolidates a lot of health-related data points. That it is diabetes-focused gives it a leg up on Apple Health alone for me. Hopefully they continue to support and improve the app!

Loving this app!!!
Perfect one-stop shop for tracking all of my health data! I’m a diabetic & have recently been experiencing random, extremely low dips in my blood pressure that, so far, we haven’t been able to explain (blood work all normal). My doctor asked that I begin keeping a detailed diary of my glucose, BP, when & what I eat, water intake & when I’m taking my meds so we can try to see if there’s a pattern that could explain why it’s happening — this app lets me track all of that in one spot AND will generate reports that I can share with my doctor.
I ran into one tiny glitch when I tried to link to Apple health (it caused the app to freeze / crash), and I wound up uninstalling & had trouble locating the app to reinstall it. Tech support was awesome — spoke with Lena who was super nice / helpful & got me back up & running!

IMHO - poorly done
Limited time using this and already very disappointed. As with most things associated with Solara, this is not user friendly. Does not allow you to choose or opt out of reminders- keeps asking for my weight and gives me a “ weekly report” whether I want it or not. An envelope icon on the upper right side of the screen is inactive on my i-phone 11 (on which other apps work great). Tech support is not as available for west coast and mountain time users because they are only available M- F to 6 pm EST. No help on weekends. I finally figured out that I have to go to “weekly reports” to make these “unread” but inaccessible messages go away, and even then, I cannot delete them. Also looks like ordering from Solara via the app may be much slower than over the phone. Ordered a transmitter on Friday last week and still only says “preparing your order” 5 days later. If I could give this a zero, I would. Question: What are they doing with all of the detailed medical data users are entering IF you choose to do that?

Works okay, but…
I like this app, but I am constantly having to sign in with my email and password and re-create my four digit pin number. It’s very aggravating, especially when I am recording blood sugars in the middle of the night. Also, the app keeps telling me it’s time for me to order supplies, but no supplies are showing up in the list.

Horrible app
This app is absolutely horrible. I recently moved and went to the app to update my new address. Nope, not an option. So I went to the Solara website and tried there. Nope, you are sent to a page to send in an email to ask a question. So I went back to the app to try and put in a new order. During the ordering process you are asked several questions, one of them being “Do you have a new address?” I clicked “yes” and before you finish there is an area to type any changes to your order including new address or new insurance. My order was placed and is now going to my old address. I would say both this app snd their website look like they were built by kids in high school, but I’ve had seen the work kids can do nowadays and it would be an insult. The only way to contact them for you to call and wait on hold for about an hour. Except for the countless sales calls to let you know you can order more supplies.

Great, use it every day
I use Clarity from Dexcom once in a while. It produces 2 to 90 day reports; But plus+ gives me a daily report auto delivered to my phone instantly. Every day same time. Very useful! I would like it even better if the graphs were a little prettier and I could turn my phone sideways and see even larger.

App constantly freezes
When this app works, it’s great, but too often when I try to log into it the entire thing freezes. It asks me for my PIN and after I enter it I get a blank screen and can’t click anything. Usually after an hour and at least 6 more attempts it will finally let me see my supplies and read my weekly reports. I only use this to reorder my Dexcom G6 CGM and really wish I could go back to the Trace by Solara app instead.

It’s a fair record keeping system but it locks me out often and I remove the app and reinstall and sometimes it starts back up and works. It has problems but being free and part of the package from which I receive my supplies from I’ll use it.

Ridiculous
I downloaded this app to try and communicate with Solara since Insulet/Omnipod is making me go through them. I have had to order my pumps through various pump suppliers on line since changing to Omnipod Dash in the fall of 2021. There is no way to communicate with Solara since I will never wait over an hour on their phone line. I have asked Insulet to try and help. They texted me the link to this app but there is no mention of pumps at all - only my Dexcom sensors.

She showed me all the things that app can do! Check it out! It does it all. Keep track of your meds, food intake, take a picture of your food and the app breaks down the nutritional facts! This app is too cool!!!
