CatOlivia,
Soooo worth it!
I had been sleeping with a box fan for years and years, but I just didn’t like all the air blowing in my room while I was trying to sleep because I would wake up a lot with a sore throat. I tried several different sound machines, but I could always hear the loop and it would keep me up at night and drive me insane! Snooz is amazing. It literally sounds like a box fan, but it is so small! And there’s no wind! I really love that I can control it from my phone and can set timers so it can fade in and out for an easier wake up cycle. I also love that it’s so small that we always have room to easily pack it whenever we are staying away from home. We won’t go anywhere without it! I seriously can not say enough good things about snooz! It literally exceeded all my expectations!
ridgeback65,
Almost perfect
The Snooz unit is a thing of beauty. Simple, well-designed. It has an actual mechanical fan inside a housing but way better than a clunky store-bought oscillating fan from the hardware store. Snooz’s sound pitch is infinitely tunable from white to brown sound with a twist of the housing. I liken the sound to the sound of a jet flight at 35,000 feet. Smooth, soothing, constant brown sound. The touch controls on top are simple: on/off, speed.

The Bluetooth app to control the device is great too. Intuitive, simple to connect and calibrate. Easy to schedule for weekend/weekdays. We were up and running in 2 minutes.

My only suggestion would be to add more variation to the app speed control in order to dial in the sweet spot for volume level. Right now it has ten “whole” steps of adjustment. It would be great if you could adjust between those steps in halves or 3rds. 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5 or 1, 1.3, 1.6, 2, etc. We find our sweet spot to be between 2 or 3 so a 2.5 would be awesome. Thanks for such a great product. It is expensive but so much better than a desktop fan! It has improved our sleep!
ccroutons,
Great machine and app
Had my machine for years and I love it. App control is great. As for future enhancements:

1. Would love to see integration with iOS shortcuts so that I can incorporate this into my bedtime routines/HomeKit controls. Turn off the lights, turn down the thermostat, turn off the TV and turn on Snooze! May not be possible because SNOOZ uses Bluetooth to connect, but I can hope.

2. Add a few white noise tracks within this app for when you’re on the road. I’ve grown so accustomed to my SNOOZ that I need white noise when I travel. I resort to playing white noise tracks from Apple Music, but loading a few tracks within this app would be a nice touch.
philanon,
Great but needs one enhancement
Simple and easy to use. The sound is just like a fan and I like that you can change the tone a bit. I love that there is a setting to disable all lights. Scheduling is why I bought this but it doesn’t exactly meet my needs. I’d like to listen on low volume all night and then have the volume higher at 7 am when the noisy construction workers start working. However there seems to only be one schedule allowed per day. For now I’ll just use it in the morning and use an app on my phone for nighttime but if you’re listening developers, please allow multiple schedules and selectable volume for each in the future. Aside from this it is perfect and I will think about getting a second one for ambient noise in my office.
Reillyroos,
In love
I have been searching for a sound machine for so long. I like using a desk fan because of the constant humming noise but most sound machines sound nothing like a fan. It was getting to cold to be using a fan so I was on the hunt! I came across SNOOZ on the internet & decided to give it a try. The unit looks nice sitting on my dresser, doesn’t stand out. I love that it has an app for the phone. You can set the timer to go on & off for the week or weekend. I read a few peoples reviews that said that the volume doesn’t go loud enough. I found that it goes very loud if that’s what you like. I’m very happy with my purchase!
JF408,
Snoozing well...
I have used white noise for years, but was finding that the electronically generated noise from other devices or my phone app wasn’t doing the trick anymore. I hesitated to invest in Snooz, not expecting that it would be significantly different. I was wrong! I sleep so much more soundly. There is something about the quality of the sound that is far superior to any other device or app I’ve used. I can’t explain it other than to say I noticed the first morning when I woke up how well I slept and noticed I wasn’t disturbed by a single sound in the night. And that has remained true each night since!
@kjnyc,
Smart-ish Sound Machine
We have 3 Snooz-es set up throughout our home. None of them realize that Daylights Savings ended today. Also, you can only set one timer per machine. For example, if you want to set it to turn on at 7pm and turn off at 7am, it works fine; however, if you try to add a second timer to turn on at 10am and off at 11:30am and again from 3-4pm (for a baby’s naps), it won’t work. When you activate the 10-11:30am timer, it deactivates the nighttime timer and vice versa. And if you add an afternoon timer, it deactivates the morning timer. So only one timer can be active per day. So, the sound machine is only smart-ish; however, we find it to be one of the most attractive sound machines on the market.
Amyjusa,
Works fine
I saw a lot of bad reviews about the app not working and the snooz breaking down etc... I have experienced nothing but satisfaction. The thing I find the most worthwhile about this snooz is the quality of noise it produces and the ability to turn it on and off with a touch of a button on the phone app. This comes in handy when you forget to turn it on (or off) manually and are already in bed or you just don’t want to for whatever reason. It’s expensive but with the added bluetooth features and quality of the built in fan noise it makes it worth the price.
Kumeeleeun,
Needs a way to smoothly increase volume.
Overall the app works very well. It’s fairly intuitive to use although some of the buttons could be made much more obvious. Such as switching between different machines. But the biggest improvement would be a “fade up” feature. It seems like it should be possible since it has a nice smooth fade out function. I often go to bed after my wife and she’ll have the fan low, around 4. I want to crank it up to 10 but it only does distinct jumps and those wake her up. If it could easily fade up that would be ideal.
Liamcross,
Not usable without start/stop schedules (screenshots are misleading!)
Update: the screenshots are misleading, it shows a scheduled start and stop time, I was told by Support this was coming, but it has been over 1 year, starting to suspect the device lacks the components necessary to do this (internal clock etc). I have stopped using it completely, as without schedules start/stop it is near useless. A 30$ white noise machine with a wemo plug is far more functional.

Love the sound levels, but am going to stick with my current white noise due to scheduling capabilities. With a WeMo plug I can schedule my current white noise to turn on and off on a schedule. Snooz currently only allows for scheduling the off (not on) time. Since it is not a physical switch, I can't even use snooz with the wemo. Don't like the idea of having to remember to turn it on every night.
