Miracle Product

We have a Molekule in every living space in our home, and over the past 3 years since we started adding them, we simply have an easier time breathing despite our family of fours’ chronic allergies, with 2 dogs, a cat and a fish tank.
We had them through COVID-19, during which time we we’re remodeling our interior. All of the contractors involved had COVID at one time or another, but we didn’t catch it. Yes of course we wore masks and distanced while in there presence, but it stands to reason that happening to have these machines that literally kill viruses played a part in our safety. I would give them six stars if I could.

Poor app

I have 5 Molekule machines in the house. 4 are connected to the app and 1 forever says the device is opened when it’s not. That means for 1 of my devices I can never see the filter % or know when to change it. These machines sometimes randomly disconnect from the app which then forces me to reset the whole thing. Which means removing and resetting it up all over again to reconnect to Wifi and the app. I’ve called customer service many times and they have a script where they walk you through the disconnect and reconnect process that I have it memorized. Except for the fact on my 1 machine it never works and they don’t provide a solution other than to buy a new machine. The machine works fine. It’s the app that can’t “see” it so I just can’t see the filter indicator. I refuse to buy a new machine when it works fine and it’s an app software problem that they cannot seem to fix. They keep telling me to ensure I have a 2.4ghz network which I do have so it’s frustrating it’s implied it’s my problem when clearly it’s a bad machine that I have, sadly just past warranty. Worst it’s a software problem not a hardware problem so you would think there would be a solution for this.

You get what you pay for....

This is my second review, of this app and they’re useless devices. By far the worst investment in money ever. This app is terrible, the air purifiers are terrible. The customer service is terrible. If you’re reading this review do yourself a favor and look for a better company. This one is terrible suppose that.

Well as the title says you get what you pay for, that goes for most things except for the molecule air purifier. I mean this thing has the looks of a. Mercedes but it runs like dial-up Internet service. I’ve never had a device in my home that loses connectivity as much as these Air purifiers, And I have three. I mean when you look at the overall product from the app which puts the B in basic an the actual units which from the looks feel and price you would think you were getting the best of the best unfortunately not so! So if you’re in the market for an air purifier please read the reviews because the reviews tell the tale of the tape I only wished I would’ve did more homework before I invested so much money in a troublesome product! Unhappy customer!!!

Better Than Expected

I knew this machine had a good reputation but was surprised to see how sensitive it is. For example, my husband power washed our deck with the door cracked open. The machine, on automatic, kicked into high gear until we closed the door and it kept on working, hitting lower and lower gears until it decided the air was okay. It tells me what our air quality is and tells me what percent each type of particle was responsible for the air quality. We have dogs, cats and birds and I’m super relieved to have the Molekule air cleaner looking out for our air quality.

Terrible App

I’ve got the Molekule mini. Everything ran OK at first and now I cannot connect to it. I am asked to reset and I try to do that. I unplug it and plug it back in that only worked once. I really don’t notice a difference in my room as far as air quality. I had an Oreck from 1996 it still runs. I can tell a difference with it within a half an hour. Problem with that is it’s so old you can’t buy filters for it anymore. Oreck was surprised to know that somebody still had a 1996 whole house unit. So here is this molekule that never connects and won’t reconnect. It says the security is WPA2. Well there isn’t just that to choose from the drop-down menu. It has that listed along with WPA3. It keeps telling me it’s incorrect security type. Save your money! This is way too expensive for what you get.

Buggy and Kind of Pointless

This app is old enough now that it should be able to connect my purifier, give me the stats I need and decent controls. What the app actually does is give me filter info (sometimes) controls the purifier but often not displaying which mode the filter is in until I close it and reopen the app and that’s about it. There was a good amount of money spent in style on this app but I’m not entirely sure why as it’s functionally just not sensible. Thankfully the air purifier works as it is intended but that is heavily marred by the experience this app gives, this company really should have a more fluid app that gives me all the info I need without having to close it out almost every time I open it.

Can’t connect the app to air mini+

The app was never great since I purchased my first molekule air few years back… and now after 4+ years in business, the app is still not working well, there is definitely wrong on the network layer of their app and it’s way too laggy. Allocate engineering resources to fix it once and for all! Ugh very frustrating, you raised millions in funding to get the best software engineers! 😤

Based on other comments it seems there is a problem when attempting connection to the Molekule network. I even tried to do it manually by following instructions on their support page ( WPA 2 and password ) without success unfortunately. Maybe a bug with the app? I saw another comment having the same issue. Please debug and fix it! Owner of 3mini+ and air. Thank you!

Amazing product and even better customer service

We live in the mountains, we have fresh air. I never thought I would love or use an air purifier so much. We have had crazy fires and smoke the last couple years. I was so grateful for this machine, helping keep my babies breathing clean air. The design is beautiful and the machine is quiet. What more could you want!? When we couldn’t figure out the Bluetooth, customer service was there for us to walk us through every step of the way.

Useless App

The app is very primitive for a product that you pay a premium for. Most smart home products enable you to connect to 5 GHZ networks; however, with Molekule it has to be through 2.4 GHZ. Because of this I have to connect my Molekule to my guest network which is 2.4 GHZ, whilst my phone and everything else are connected to my main network which is 5 GHZ. I now am unable to add my Molekule to my ‘HomeKit’ since it’s on a different network. This is absolutely ridiculous and Molekule should get with the times and make their device compatible with all Networks. If Molekule rectified this issue, I’ll gladly change this review to 5 stars.

It simply doesn’t work

The app simply doesn’t work properly.

Brand new purifier but for some reason it “Can’t Connect” for at least 10-15 minutes. After a successful connection the rest of the setup worked but then suddenly not able to connect again…. Then the machine just shuts down and won’t turn back on.

The worst part is that the customer service department is just woefully under equipped and undertrained. They didn’t know how to effectively communicate. They didn’t understand basics of the device. They wanted me to email pictures of connection pins to them while live on the phone like I was a repair technician. They ultimately asked me to “return the device to where I got it from”.
