Way is an intuitive eating and mindful eating app that helps you find peace in your relationship with food and your body.

Grounded in intuitive eating and mindfulness within the cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) framework, we focus on what food makes your body feel good and what makes you feel good about your body, as an avenue to long-term eating behavior change. Listening to your body is core to the experience and what we hope to guide you to.

Good concept. App needs improvement.
I don’t get any notifications even though I have that checked in the settings. I am having a bit of trouble navigating the app. It doesn’t give any options to answer “none of the above“
on questions that are multiple choice, such as, “Which exercise did you struggle with the most?” There also aren’t enough instructions as to how to proceed through the exercises. I’m just feeling my way through and I’m not sure where I’m going. So, even though I’m finding it to be somewhat helpful in my journey to peace with food, the app itself isn’t quite what I would hope for. Like other reviewers I’ve also experienced some sentences being cut off with ellipses with seemingly no way to read the rest of the text.

Love the concept, but the app is very buggy..
The concept and info included is amazing, but the app is just too buggy to use. Had some issues completing several sessions that kept locking up. Then one prompt used answers from a previous session, but none of the answers were ones I inputted. If they could fix the bugs (which looking at the reviews have been an ongoing issue), then the app would be worth it 100%. I won’t be keeping after free trial, because my frustration with the app (like having to rewrite my response 5 times to an in depth question) was undoing any benefit from the content in addition to making it hard to progress.

Also, I have an iPhone 12.

Not ready for prime time
I spent less than 10 minutes with this app before I cancelled my subscription. The first exercise asks you to identify the first food rule you learned, but then quickly moves on to summarize the lesson by saying that you’ve explored multiple food rules. The next exercise asks you to identify a food scenario that you’ve experienced recently and how you felt. That one was fine. Then the 3rd exercise takes that info and tries to dig deeper, but can’t because no matter what I’ve written in the 2nd exercise, the third one tries to help me with eating while bored. Even though that’s not the issue I identified. It’s a great idea for an app but this one isn’t worth paying money for.

Love it but it locks up
Great concepts, features, love it except … unfortunately, in the middle of doing an exercise the program locks up. It kept doing this over and over and over again. Very frustrating. I’d get about halfway or even all the way to the last step of an exercise, and have to start all over again. It was especially frustrating when I would start over again and it would lock up again and again until I just gave up. So fix this glitch and I’ll be one of your biggest fans and subscribe to the premium version.

Glitches!
So far, I’ve struggled quite a bit with this app. SO MANY GLITCHES. I’ve had to exit out and reboot the app so many times because it won’t let me move to the next screen. Or it asks me to click a choice but the options are obscured and when I try to scroll to make them more visible, it won’t “stay” and rolls back to the “obscured” view. A couple times the entire app is frozen and no matter where I try to click or write, it does nothing. I’ve had this app for about 15 minutes and have had to exit probably 15 times at least. Fix the app, please! I believe strongly that this is some thing that could benefit me, but I will stop using it if I have to constantly maneuver around the glitches.

Close but not quite
Like most of the reviews, I love the idea of this app. I struggle with my relationship with food and was looking for a way to get healthy without counting calories.

However, also like most reviews, I didn’t think this app felt fully developed. It’s surface level pretty, but doesn’t function like you’d expect.

The 2nd exercise asked me to choose a food experience I’ve had recently, I chose stress eating because that’s my biggest issue. It then walked me through a less on bored eating. While that lesson was great, it’s not my problem at all. So I chose a different food experience, and they all just walk you through a lesson on bored. Why have me choose if it’s not going to be targeted to that response?

For now, I’m not continuing with the app, but I hope to come back in a few months and see good work from the devs. This app as a lot of potential, but right now it’s just pretty

Has some bugs
I love the idea of this app but there are still some bugs that need to be worked out. The most annoying one so far is it doesn’t matter if you’ve selected to do 3 or 6 sessions a day, after doing one session I get locked out saying I’ve already done my max sessions.
Also, sometimes it’s like the statements in one session don’t match. I want to keep going because I see the potential but I’m not sure if I want to keep paying for it with all the glitches.

Bugs/Format challenges
I really like this so far and am glad to pay for it. But the app needs work! LOTS of times the text on the screen doesn’t fit and there’s no way to scroll and see more. Sometimes the “continue” button is off or nearly off the screen meaning you can’t move on easily. I am stuck on one module because I can’t click “continue.” And I’ve tried to join the “community” several times and it doesn’t seem to work. Frustrating since I really like the concept so much. Please fix the app so I can get the most out of this program!

App malfunction
I really liked this app but I had to cancel my subscription because of technical difficulties. The last lesson of the first session is like ultra zoomed in and I have tried everything to fix it and I can’t get passed it because the other lessons are locked until I finish that one. The biggest bummer is that I can’t find anyone to contact for help. I’ll definitely resubscribe when this issue gets fixed. I totally loved the app.

Some layout improvements needed
I love the concept and look forward to continuing. However, the content doesn’t fit the screen frequently and is cut off. There is ellipsis, but you can’t click on it or scroll to read the rest. Some “buttons” and options also are cut off. It also doesn’t stay where I left off if I switch between my iPhone and iPad.
