PierceHoliday,
Group competition is a motivator!
The group competition or organizational competitions help make this app fun and motivational. I like how one can keep up with their progress and rank in an organizations members that take part in any fun completions for health. The way it can link to wearable devices to automatically download your workouts and record your steps makes it easy to earn your sellable points without having to remember to check it each day. (You do, of course, have to remember to work out if you want those points!).

Highly recommend to any organization that wants to come up with a fun way to motivate their members to have healthier lifestyles.
sunshine&daydreaming,
So easy to use!
I have an iPhone and have Apple Health connected to Wellable and all of my activities sync directly to the Wellable app for points towards a reward! I love it because my wellness program rewards points for other activities besides just daily step count. I am not a runner so my step count does not get super high. I receive most of my activity points from the time spent doing yoga, barre, and weight lifting that I just track using my Apple Watch. Being able to track other fitness activities makes it fun and inclusive for those who do not run as their main mode of exercise.
sydn3y713,
Doesn’t sync easily. Pretty sure it doubles up.
It does not sync easily. For some of the syncable devices, you have to download another app for it to go through which is kind of a pain. Several times I had to disconnect connected devices and reconnect them and try to historically sync them. I’ve also noticed with some of my coworkers that are shooting up with more points than you could possibly get. So I’m thinking that they’re logging their stuff directly and it’s also picking up their connected devices or something. it would be nice if we could see what each other was doing to get points. But all I can see is where I’m at in the rank and how they’re getting their points is confidential.
Rick Furmanski,
App has a flaw
App doesn’t separate the steps on your pedometer from the steps you accumulate on other apps such as Strava. It allows you to double dip not have to work as hard to get your daily points. Example, I get about 50 points per 1,000 steps and 100 points per mile using Strava. It takes me approximately 12,000 steps to get 6 miles. On this app, I will get 600 points for Strava and an additional 600 points on my pedometer. If I don’t use Strava when walking then I’ll only get 600 points.
Adamant628,
App constantly disconnects from apple health
As of February 2022 this app takes a lot of babysitting. Every few days I will check my status on my computer and see that it has not tracked for a while and requires me to log in on the app and reconnect to apple health and sync (or if it’s been more than 2-3 days of lost connection I need to sync historic data). It’s not unusable, but it’s very frustrating. User support has given me no solutions that actually work and ignore my comment that this happens every time a new update is downloaded (which for some reason is very frequently at least once a week). Hopefully, they look into this more to figure out what they broke in February and prevent logging out/lost apple health connection every time the app updates.

Runkeeper Required & Doesn't Work
The app overall is decent for companies to use for employee engagement, BUT it requires you to download an additional app to connect other apps. It doesn't directly connect to MyFitnessPal or LoseIt or other well known fitness/health apps. Then that app doesn't even work, it's a totally different company so if they aren't working, Wellable can't function properly. Why allow your product to be dependent on another company?
Part of many challenges, give points for logging food, but then the app doesn't work correctly to allow for the connections. Then RunKeeper told me I needed the paid version of their app to properly connect.
Luvin' my petz!,
So many workout options!
A little something for everyone. Actually a lot of something’s for everyone. So many kinds of workouts with great encouraging instructors. Nutrition overview, stress reduction and sleep meditations. They value all kinds of exercise-the goal is to get you moving and making healthy choices. They incentivize you to follow these healthy practices everyday by having you track every detail. Great wellness App!!!
Jcangst,
Your employer made you install this unfortunately
Like many people, I have to have this tracker to get an insurance discount through my employer. It will take longer than you think because at least one day a week it wont sync your steps at the end of the day and wont sync it retroactively, so it looks like you sit doing nothing at least one day a week. Instead of fixing it to retroactively sync previous days, support will tell you you have to prove it, and create a spreadsheet with all the info you say it didn’t track. Fair warning, you probably have to have this app if you’re reading this, but it’s a headache every week.
DontSumi,
Meh
The sync is problematic. It sometimes works, sometimes doesn’t. You force a sync and it picks up data from a tracking app for steps and activity but doesn’t pick up data for nutrition.
Why isn’t pulling all the data for activity/steps/nutrition just pulled from Apple Health? If Apple Health has the info already and you’re already connected to that app, why not make it easier for users.
Employers are using this to reward employees for being healthy but the ones who are the most persistently tech savvy are winning the challenges.
B's Meema,
Cumbersome Tracking
Would be much improved if you could choose multiple daily activities to add at one time. As is it’s a real pain to add entries. It would also be extremely helpful to see what you’ve added right when you add it versus having to go out to the dashboard page to see if you added something or not. And there aren’t any breaks between the days for ease of seeing where each day begins and ends. It’s like a big run-on sentence so you have to read the dates for every entry.
