It’s nice to have the app to create additional programs and to adjust the left and right levels independently.
Soundsense is really overhyped. All it does is adjust the EQ on an existing program which you can then save. It does it by doing multiple A/B comparisons, but the net is still just an EQ setting. They call it Bass/Middle/Treble, but I have a hard time calling anything over 100 hertz bass, so it’s really Middle/Treble/High Treble. You can only do the Soundsense once for a favorite you save, so to tweak it at all, you just adjust the EQ. It’s a novel approach, but I’d much rather have more bands of EQ.
Using your own background photos is a nice feature. It’d be nice to also be able to use your own icons, though, since the ones they have are very limited and if you create a lot of favorites, you have to duplicate icons which to me kind of defeats the idea of icons. I also wish it didn’t call all of them “favorite”. I get that it can’t reliable pronounce whatever you choose to name it, but it could say “favorite one”, “favorite two”, or something like that to at least distinguish between them.
It’s a good start, though, and hopefully future updates will add more useful function.
