Jacuzzi® Sauna Connect App Hack 1.0.19 + Redeem Codes

The interface is terrible on mobile - landscape only, doesn’t use any mobile UI conventions, etc. It barely can accomplish the most basic function: turn the sauna on from your phone. And now, it doesn’t even do that. It dropped the wifi connection so the sauna doesn’t show up in the app, so it’s completely useless. I’ve followed the arcane instructions to re-connect the sauna and it simply doesn’t work and gives no indication of what can be done to fix it. I love the sauna itself, but this app & the wifi feature is embarrassingly horrible. I paid extra for the sauna to get this feature and less than a year later it’s broken.

I could NOT get this to connect to my sauna to save my life (and I’m technically inclined). Finally gave up and called clear light. They sent a walkthrough .. and it finally works like a charm. I can finally turn it on from my phone across the house. 2 things .. first .. upon initial setup/connecting the sauna to the app you must make sure your Wi-Fi is broadcasting in 2.4ghz instead of 5ghz. Second you must put the sauna in setup mode (pressing and holding power button for 7 seconds) prior to hitting the “setup” button on the Wi-Fi setup screen on the app. Works like a charm. Read the set up instructions online - follow to a T. Took me some time but it does everything is says it will. Coolest part with my Sanctuary 2 in this app is that it allows me to turn on the sauna for LONGER than 60 min…which is all the interface in the sauna will allow. So yes, setup is a pain, yes, the interface is archaic, but yes it works and provides much better function for the sauna itself.

I never write reviews, but wanted to send some encouragement for this app now that I know it works.

Sell us saunas for the price of cars that have remote capabilities that don’t work. It’s been 6 months. I’ve spent so much of my previous time on the phone asking when, no one has answers. What a shame a company can still get away with treating their customers this way.. no expected time frame, no explanation, just “ya we know it’s still a problem with certain devices.” Absolute joke, wish you people told me I wasn’t going to be able to use the remote on my 6k dollar sauna before I purchased it. Wish I could give negative stars, and not just because it’s frustrating that it doesn’t work, it’s how YOU have handled communication with your customers that is the most frustrating!

In my ten years of owning an iPhone/iOS, I’ve never run into issues like this with an app. I CAN’T EVEN REGISTER to use it. We customers are paying thousands of dollars for this supplemental and necessary service and we cannot even get a functional app that is supposed to go with our use of the sauna? Completely archaic...clearly this company’s only focus is to gouge every cent out of their clients without having a modicum of care or interest in taking care of them. INVEST IN AN APP BUILDER TO BUILD SOMETHING LESS ARCHAIC AND DYSFUNCTIONAL THAN THIS SAD EXCUSE OF AN APP. Please read what your customers are saying in every 1 star review you have. Get a clue. What an embarrassment, Jacuzzi!

I erroneously installed this app thinking it would provide remote access to a Jacuzzi product. It would not connect to the Jacuzzi product over WiFi so I called the support number in the app. Instead of support I got a foreign based call center telling me I’d “won” a $100 gift card and if I’d give them my information and a small handling fee the card would be on the way - and then they’d help with the app. I said no thanks just help with the app and I got transferred to a supervisor who put the full court press on paying for the gift card. Never got any “app” help. This needs to be taken down imho.

In all my years I have never had the headaches this app has caused. Getting the sauna to connect with this app is nearly impossible. I have had multiple spontaneous disconnection from the app. I have been on the phone and email multiple times with the company and still after nearly 3 years have at least annual headaches from this app. I am currently once again unable to get my sauna to connect with the app and have followed all of the instructions to the letter repeatedly to the point where my own spouse asks “are you obsessing again”?

Update: App will no longer connect to sauna. Disappointing.

It’s nice to have app control over the sauna but this needs some basic design rethinking.

The landscape only design is annoying, no one wants to be forced to rotate their phone to use an app, something that app developers learned many years ago.

The first step requiring one to choose an available sauna before reaching the control screen is a wasted step. I’m guessing nearly every user has one sauna. The app should bypass this unless there are more than one sauna connected.

The reserve feature forces one to count the hours and minutes until the desired sauna time for warm up to begin. Instead one should be able to simply enter the time desired for warm up to begin ie 5:40am instead of 16 hours and 40 minutes from now.

Overall not terrible but needs work.

I agree with the other reviewer. One of the main reasons I bought this sauna was so that I can turn it on remotely. (It takes at least an hour to heat it to 150). The app does not connect. I called both the salesman (no return call) and jacuzzi customer service. Customer service said someone would call back within 72 hours!!!! They never did. I want to love the sauna but I could not be more disappointed with the customer service of a $6,000 investment!!! I am also disappointed in the time it takes to heat..

We've had our sauna for about a year and a half and have never been able to make this app work, I randomly tried again and it works now! So it's definitely worth a shot trying again
