DanceMusicSkull,
Great accountability & motivation but some Fitbit sync & challenge issues
App is user friendly and a great motivational tool. Great support from online forums which seems the best!! I do enjoy the fact that virtual strangers support one another and have no problem holding one another accountable

I've had some issues syncing with my Fitbit to track steps & distance traveled traveled with specific missions. It's random and can be quite frustrating.

Ex.
Problem - 10,000 steps will be reflected with my FitBit and while it shows this for a 10,000 step challenge, it will not show any steps for 2,000 or 5,000 steps.

Fix - that has worked was for me to quit the missions and start all over again for the steps to show.

Yes while I never participate in auctions because I can never compete with the outrageous bids. It doesn't bother me that's just that.

It would be nice to win a prize one day but I'm more about staying healthy, active & fit. As a certified personal trainer I like the idea behind programs like this!!!! I wish all my clients had access to this type of resources through their employers health care providers.

Which is why despite some bugs here and there I'm giving Rally 5 stars!! They're constantly making improvements and that's enough for me. 👍🏾👍🏾

I like the idea but missing key helpful features
I like the app as recently where I work we have a challenge for steps etc. I really love the app and I like the idea but it’s lacking in reallly important features and functions that make this very unrealistic. It’s a nice idea and a great start but entering into each section meant to help has a check in time and reminders as well as recording results and making notes or journals and diaries...none of which are seamlessly integrated into the app to open from that category and use. It’s more time consuming and tedious to have to log out and go to your notes in iPhone and write a memo in a timely and efficient manner especially working in a sales environment where your schedule is never a set schedule and you have to give customer service and do sales... build the important functions to make this app a grand master piece other than that it’s no diff that anything else thieving ideas but unable to help. Also tracking steps... I wear a series 4 Apple Watch that tracks my work outs or indoor eliptical/indoor run. It only gives the option to use the Apple Watch and that’s it or just the iPhone... you think I’m gonna carry a iPhone xsmax on an elliptical and wave it around so it will calculate my steps-_- . If I just choose the iPhone it will be placed in front of me while I run and won’t track a thing...very aggravating and needs a fixin. Other than that it’s a cute idea but cute ideas don’t cut it only while grand ones make it big.

Bad Experience (UPDATED)
App is alright if a bit buggy; be wary of the rewards programs. After being given some misinformation by a coach during a wellness program I was told I was ineligible for the advertised reward upon completion because it was not completed in a specific window of time. Mind you I committed to a program for five months and completed all of the tasks.

Speaking with Optum Health reps made it apparent that they did not care and were more interested in proving me wrong than trying to empathize with a client who they had misinformed at the outset. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but the customer service left such a bad taste in my mouth that I had to speak on it. They simply do not care about their clients.

Update 6/3: two Rally reps did reach out to me today and the interaction was night and day from the prior one I had. The reps treated me respectfully and gave me a partial credit. More so, they made me feel as if they saw me as an actual person - which is all we’re really looking for. I have changed my review from 1 star to 3 to reflect this pleasant (and unexpected) resolution.

The Worst Wellness Program
We have participated into other programs through other insurance companies. This is the least motivating and the most stressful program. It doesn’t always track what activity we do even though the app is attached to our fitbits. Poor instruction leads to more work and less outcomes. The only activities allowed to decrease insurance premiums is walking -which is already a health habit in our lives. I received the reward after 15 miles whereas my husband chose a different “ walking course” and only received half the reward after 32 miles. It makes no sense. You aren’t allowed to stop the walking program once started so he had to complete double the work for half the reward. The prizes (% off from movie tickets) are useless for people with money and insulting for those trying to make ends meet. The customer support is blaming and have yet to answer a question directly I guess because their training mimicked this awful program. Also I suspect people are using the no-heat dryer trick with their pedometers because some people have a ridiculous amount of steps.
milfsoup,
Too many bugs
I like the program but there seems to be issues with the app. There is a barcode scanner where you can scan and get the nutritional information. I scanned rice and it said it couldn’t find. Scanned another food and it brought up another brand. When searching certain foods you have to figure out how they have it listed or it won’t come up. Example: searching foods from restaurants you have to type the food then restaurant not the name of restaurant first. No place to specifically track water but you can under the meals. Problems with logging in. It says it can keep you logged in for 30 days. I have not even been on the program for a month and it keeps logging me out. Also says my password is incorrect. I’ve had to change it 3 times already. I guess I am holding it up to WW standards because their app is so great and user friendly. I can’t imagine the problems a less tech savvy person is having if I can’t figure it out.
Big Butt Gurhl,
RAH RAH RALLY!!!...
So I am a 57 year old female who is really trying hard to get healthier and stay that way. I lost my 30 year old daughter to breast cancer (no fault of hers; just genetics)10 years ago Saturday, March 23rd. While it still hurts you know I thought of what I’m trying to do and thought hey “ I’m doing this for me, and in memory of my daughter!”

I love the fact that Rally really is encouraging, cheers me on, and makes me feel like I’m really important-Wait; what? I am important! And am committed to doing the best that I can to achieve ALL of my goals.

If you need a site (Health Wise), that’s going to cheer you to the finish line, then RALLY is your site. Every time I complete a mission I’m encouraged to do more. Thank you to the inventors of RALLY......Stretching out for my goals has never been easier or more rewarding-literally!!!!....
buckeyes1026,
Activity tracking painful and auctions are ridiculous
While I want to get healthier, this app wears on you to a point it becomes demotivating. At least two times a day you need to resynchronize you health tracking device with this app. Its just like at any time it disassociates your step tracking. Additionally it does not track any other health stats like weight or heart rate that can easily be tracked yet its just a check, yea I did it.

As far as the coins, for the 15 or so items in the marketplace is a good starter but after 3 months, not one change to the marketplace, this should be constantly rotating to encourage you to keep going. But the biggest disappointment is the auctions. On average auctions costing 250,000 coins, that is like 10 years of tracking activity, might as well say you will never be able to buy anything in auction.

App just requires a relook at what its really suppose to do, encourage or discourage you becoming healthier. Currently long term it discourages you.

Unintuitive Design
I want to continue using this app, I really do. But it’s incredibly frustrating the amount of times I have to log in to my account through the app and in Safari. At this point, it doesn’t make sense to use the app at all and just stick with logging in from a browser. Another frustration is how difficult it is to find where to check in for my daily activity. It’s hidden in the rewards tab, rather than the activities or home tab like the rest of my goals. This was difficult to find in both the browser and the app. There’s an error when I try to switch over to the ‘Find Care’ tab. To cash in Rally coins, I’m unable to view the deals without cashing in my coins first. Lots to improve on and I hope these issues get fixed because I was really looking forward to utilizing this app because I see how it could be beneficial.
fatt1974,
New update is hot garbage
All the recent 1 star reviews are factually accurate - the UI refresh is bad. Want to do a “City Walk Milestone”? Click on Activities and then... Browse Activities and then... Exercise? Group Challenges? It’s buried and nowhere does it even say “City Walk” except in the Reward section. But not only is the UI redesign bad, it’s also full of defects. I click on the first “Group Challenge” called Hollywood Hustle and it says “Details: 30 Miles -16 Days” - what does negative days mean?? So I join London Lunge which says “5 miles 3 days” I hit the 5 miles and sometimes the “Milestones ring” shows it’s at max reward and sometimes not. I think maybe it’s 7 miles? It’s not obvious. I hit 7 and it consistently shows the Milestones ring all green. It ends. No reward. Now it shows the Milestones ring as not full. Must have been 9 miles? Who knows.

Hey Dev Team - how could this release have gone better? Did you spend enough time on unit & integration testing? Maybe UAT so you got this feedback sooner?
Absolutely love it!:),
Where’s the accountability?
I have participated in other apps that promote healthy habits, linking to either Fitbit or an exercise app. This program only holds you accountable for opening the app and clicking a button saying you completed the “goal” for the day. There is no way to log dietary/ fluid intake, viral signs, weight, % of body fat/water among other health factor. Literally you can login the app and click complete- never even getting off the couch... anyone can “claim” they completed the “goal”. Also, the rewards.... 10-20% off different items? Why can the reward points be cashed in FOR the items? Save them up and get a real incentive for no cash out of our pockets! That’s what I’m talking about!!! I have been using the app and lost 30 pounds—> guiding my own diet and exercise plans! There should be better incentives!! I’m sure entirely with more thoughtful incentives, more people would suggest the program to friends and family!!
